The method comprises associating a primary identity to a first communication channel identity and to a second communication channel identity by an identity unifying application executing on a computer system, tracking a first plurality of events associated to the first communication channel identity by a content segmentation application executing on a computer system, tracking a second plurality of events associated to the second communication channel identity by the content segmentation application, analyzing the first plurality of events and the second plurality of events by the content segmentation application, based on analyzing the events and based on a first content segment associated with the primary identity, associating the primary identity to a second content segment by the content segmentation application.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are described for providing thinned manifests during a live event. As network usage of a regional internet service provider (ISP) or content delivery network (CDN) becomes unsustainable, new streaming sessions for a live event are provided a thinned manifest that does not have playback options for bitrates above a bitrate limit.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, there is provided a memory system including a proximity wireless interface, a memory, and a controller. The proximity wireless interface can communicate with a correspondent device. In the memory, a file having an extension is stored. The controller specifies, if device information related to an attribution of the correspondent device is received in the proximity wireless interface from the correspondent device, at least one of an extension recognizable in the correspondent device and an extension unrecognizable therein based on the device information and that performs first transmission control according to a specified result. The first transmission control includes at least one of selectively transmitting a file having the recognizable extension from the proximity wireless interface to the correspondent device and not transmitting a file having the unrecognizable extension from the proximity wireless interface to the correspondent device.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate to real-time streaming of large quantities of time critical data over multiple distinct networks from a communications device. More specifically, embodiments described herein may address challenges and problems of maintaining consistent data reception quality when faced with the anomalies of a moving sender that is sending data using a relatively unstable method. This may be achieved by converting single source data into multiple data streams, placing them in transport buffers and storing them for forwarding.

The system may include: an encoder adapted to generate a video stream comprising a plurality of encoded frames, encoded according to at least one encoding parameter; a comparator in communication with the encoder, the comparator adapted to compare encoded frames of the plurality of encoded frames with input frames to determine a fitness metric reflective of visual quality of the encoded frames; and a controller in communication with the comparator, the controller adapted to adjust the at least one encoding parameter based on the fitness metric.

The information provided by the server computer, in some embodiments, can be a combination of an IP address and characteristics of a computing device from where the visitor visits the website. In some embodiments, the IP address of the visitor server computer is used. In embodiments where the visitor may be sharing the computing device with other users, the characteristics may include at least one characteristic that is uniquely associated with the visitor. The website server computer can use a visitor identifier thus generated to start tracking the pages that the visitor requests during the session and can generate and customize pages for the visitor by using characteristics originated from the visitor.

The network monitor may determine which network log events are legitimate, and filter the legitimate network log events from the first set of network log events or the second set of network log events to produce a group of suspicious network log events that may be correlated with the target network log event. The network monitor may predict future suspicious network log events that may be correlated with the target network log event in order to predict equipment failures.

Abstract: The current document is directed a distributed application in which a common configuration is maintained across the applications instances. In a disclosed example, a workflow-development-and-process-automation application is distributed across multiple discrete computer systems. In order for the applications instances to function symmetrically within the distributed application, the application instances share a common application configuration. The common configuration is maintained by an application-configuration synchronization subsystem that propagates configuration changes and that monitors the individual configurations of the application instances to ensure that they correspond to one another.

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for analyzing control signaling messages over a network to inform policy-based sampling of network flows using a network visibility node communicatively coupled to the network. In an illustrative embodiment, session dialog information is extracted from control signaling messages exchanged between subscriber devices initiating a communications session and tracked. A network flow associated with the communications session is selected for sampling at the network visibility node based on the tracked session dialog information. Packets associated with the network flow are then forwarded by the network visibility node to an external tool for processing.

Abstract: A remotely managing and controlling system and a remotely managing and controlling method are provided to a user for receiving feedback information and control right of the target device through a remote connecting device. To achieve the above goal, a remote control program is proposed and installed in a controlling device, named controlling terminal, and the target device, to determine whether operation modes can be executed through the remote connecting device. The remote connecting device transmits control commands and data to the target device, and receives the feedback information and the control right of the target device. Then, the controlling terminal can control the target device according to the feedback information for increasing the efficiency of data management. Further, the system and the method can receive a location of the target device through a tracing platform, and control the target device for increasing security of data stored in the target device.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes receiving one or more input signals comprising one or more event signals associated with an event and one or more user signals associated with a user, where the input signals include time-based signals, each of which includes an event time or a user arrival time, and the input signals further include location-based signals, each of which includes an event location or a user location. The method may further include determining, using a trained machine-learning model, whether the user attended the event according to the input signals, and presenting, to a target user, an indication of whether the user attended the event. The machine-learning model may be trained on list of tuples, each of which includes a user identifier, an event identifier, and an indication of whether the user identified by the user identifier attended the event identified by the event identifier.
