Abstract: Risk associated with end-user computing tools can be discovered automatically. Machine learning and other approaches can be employed to automate discovery of risk associated with end-user computing tools. In one instance, a machine learning model can be constructed and fine-tuned through training that can classify end-user computing tools in terms of risk. The risk can be of a particular type, such as financial or reputational risk, and extent, such as high or low. In another instance, end-user computing tools can be subject to automatic clustering and subsequent risk assessment. Mitigation action can be performed to reduce risk associated with high-risk end-user computing tools.

Abstract: The embodiments of the present disclosure provide an order processing method, apparatus, device, system and storage medium, where the method includes: acquiring an original order to be processed; searching for unsorted target orders, where the target orders are obtained by combining a plurality of original orders; decomposing at least part of the searched target orders into original orders; combining the original orders obtained by decomposition and the original order to be processed to regenerate one or more target orders. The order processing method, apparatus, device, system and storage medium provided by the embodiments of the present disclosure can realize dynamic roll-back combining, so that the newly arrived original order is combined with the currently unsorted target orders, and the out-of-warehouse efficiency is effectively improved.

Abstract: A computer based system for taking the physical inventory of liquids dispensed in full and partially full containers. A database stores images of containers and their associated volumes. The containers to be inventoried are identified by a user and input to a computer at a graphical user interface (GUI) input/output. A computer causes the display of an image of the container and a sliding level indicator at the GUI. The level indicator is slidable along the image. The computer calculates a volume of liquid remaining in the container as a function of the position of the level indicator along the image of the container.

Each electronic fashion item model is indicative of a fashion item. The electronic fashion item model includes a fashion item type and a fashion item color scheme. The system includes an application configured to, when executed by at least one processor, compile at least one virtual outfit. Each virtual outfit includes at least one electronic fashion item model. Each virtual outfit is compiled based on A) a selected event, B) the particular user's demographic data, and C) style genres.

Abstract: A point of sale terminal of a merchant includes a third party payment provider display area for payment using a third party payment provider. The point of sale terminal receives an authentication notification for a consumer from the third party payment provider. The consumer is authenticated using one or more of a personal identification number, an image of the consumer, a quick response code scanned from a mobile device of the consumer, or a code received via near field communications with the mobile device of the consumer. The point of sale terminal requests payment from the third party payment provider for a transaction with the consumer using the transaction amount and authentication information. The third party provider display area allows new payment modalities to be used at the point of sale terminal without requiring modification of the instructions for the point of sale terminal.

Abstract: Response parameters for a population of RFID tags present in an inventory space are determined by (a) continuously scanning the inventory space to interrogate the population of RFID tags in the inventory space and receiving responses from multiple RFID tags within the population, (b) after multiple responses have been received from a specific RFID tag within the population, determining response times for the specific RFID tag corresponding to time periods between sequential ones of the multiple responses from the specific RFID tag, (c) calculating a maximum acceptable response time based at least in part on the response times determined in step (b), and (d) recording a response interval data set including one or more of the response times determined in step (b) and the maximum acceptable response time calculated in step (c).

Abstract: A method and system for conducting an online payment transaction through a point of sale device. The method includes receiving input from a user selecting an item for purchase through the point of sale device; calculating a total purchase amount for the item in response to a request from the user to purchase the item; and sending payment authorization for the total purchase amount from the point of sale device to a payment entity, in which the payment authorization is sent to the payment entity via a mobile communication device of the user. The method further includes receiving a result of the payment authorization from the payment entity through the mobile communication device; and completing the payment transaction based on the result of the payment authorization.

Abstract: An event at a shelf, such as a user interacting with items on the shelf, may be detected using sensors associated with the shelf. Hypotheses to describe the event are generated based on the collected sensor data. However, hypotheses determined based on only one type of sensor data may not have a confidence value that is sufficiently reliable. Hypotheses derived from different sensor types may be combined to generate new hypotheses that have higher confidence values. For example, hypotheses based on image data may be combined with hypotheses based on weight data to produce hypotheses with higher confidence values that are sufficiently reliable. A hypothesis, from the set of combined hypotheses, having the highest confidence value may then be used to describe the interaction at the shelf, such as identifying the item and quantity of item the user interacted with during the event.

Upon completion of the processing of the transaction, the add-on application may return a result of the transaction to the point of sale application by emulating user actions on the user interface of the point of sale application.

Abstract: Techniques described herein are directed to point-of-sale (POS) authorization and access control. A POS application operating in a first state can send a first instruction to a reader device to prepare to read payment data associated with a payment instrument and, responsive to receiving the payment data from the reader device, can process a transaction using the payment data. In a second state, the POS application can send a second instruction to the reader device to prepare to read non-payment data associated with an identification instrument of a user and, responsive to receiving the non-payment data from the reader device, can verify an identity of the user and/or grant the user permission to perform an operation. The POS application can transition between the first state and the second state based at least in part on a type of instrument to be read by the reader device.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for facilitating the utilization of virtual payment card data is provided. In various embodiments, virtual payment card data is received by a centralized e-procurement service directly from buyer or issuer entities participating in the service. In various embodiments, secure processes protect the security of virtual payment card data on the centralized service by actively monitoring the service for abnormal view and access behaviors of the virtual payment card data. In various embodiments, viewing interfaces for the e-procurement service are actively and responsively altered to ensure secure utilization of the virtual payment card data. In various embodiments, preventative actions are taken to actively alter virtual payment card data or access methods for entities utilizing the e-procurement service to protect the integrity and security of virtual payment card data.
