Abstract: The methods and systems described herein provide for processing payments via a mobile device at a retail location while relying solely on non-PCI Scope information at the retail location. A payment processing transaction may be initiated at a point of sale at a retail location, and a unique identifier provided by a mobile device may be used as payment information to facilitate the processing of a payment transaction. Authorizations of payment processing transactions are made by a remotely located server based, at least in part, on the unique identifier provided by the mobile device.

Abstract: A merchandiser for storing a product for purchase by a customer is disclosed. The merchandiser includes a housing that defines a cavity for storing the product and a controller for facilitating a transaction for the product at the merchandiser. The controller is configured to: receive an input to initiate a transaction for the product, the input including a type and an amount of product to be purchased; unlock a door of the merchandiser to enable a removal of the product based on receiving the input; determine a completion of the transaction based on the door being in a close position for more than a preset amount of time; and charge the customer for the type and amount of product based on the completion of the transaction.

Abstract: A computer server and method for payment processing are described herein. A server has a module for forming an encrypted connection with a payment terminal, and pairs a merchant sales terminal with the payment terminal. Communications between the payment terminal and merchant sales terminal are carried out through the server, which converts messages into the appropriate format for each terminal. After the transaction is carried out, the server returns receipt information to the sales terminal for receipt generation.

Abstract: A method for identifying shipment shortages on pallets is provided. In some embodiments, the method includes taking one or more digital images of a pallet with a shipment thereon to estimate the shipment's volume. The method further includes estimating an anticipated shipment volume based on the shipment's invoice information, and comparing the estimated shipment volume to the anticipated shipment volume to calculate volume mismatches. The volume mismatches can be used as an indicator of any shipment errors.

Abstract: Various examples described herein are directed to systems and methods for managing payments of a first merchant. A mobile wallet application may receive first payment element data describing a first payment element for making a first payment and may determine that the first payment element is to be processed by a limited payment network. The mobile wallet application may send a first payment authorization message to an issuer of the first payment element via the limited payment network. The mobile wallet application may also receive second payment element data describing a second payment element for making a second payment. The mobile wallet application may determine that the second payment element is not to be processed by the limited payment network, and send a second payment authorization message to an issuer of the second payment element via a second payment network.

Abstract: Risk associated with end-user computing tools can be discovered automatically. Machine learning and other approaches can be employed to automate discovery of risk associated with end-user computing tools. In one instance, a machine learning model can be constructed and fine-tuned through training that can classify end-user computing tools in terms of risk. The risk can be of a particular type, such as financial or reputational risk, and extent, such as high or low. In another instance, end-user computing tools can be subject to automatic clustering and subsequent risk assessment. Mitigation action can be performed to reduce risk associated with high-risk end-user computing tools.

Abstract: The embodiments of the present disclosure provide an order processing method, apparatus, device, system and storage medium, where the method includes: acquiring an original order to be processed; searching for unsorted target orders, where the target orders are obtained by combining a plurality of original orders; decomposing at least part of the searched target orders into original orders; combining the original orders obtained by decomposition and the original order to be processed to regenerate one or more target orders. The order processing method, apparatus, device, system and storage medium provided by the embodiments of the present disclosure can realize dynamic roll-back combining, so that the newly arrived original order is combined with the currently unsorted target orders, and the out-of-warehouse efficiency is effectively improved.

Abstract: A computer based system for taking the physical inventory of liquids dispensed in full and partially full containers. A database stores images of containers and their associated volumes. The containers to be inventoried are identified by a user and input to a computer at a graphical user interface (GUI) input/output. A computer causes the display of an image of the container and a sliding level indicator at the GUI. The level indicator is slidable along the image. The computer calculates a volume of liquid remaining in the container as a function of the position of the level indicator along the image of the container.

Abstract: A system to manage a wardrobe and compile outfits includes a server computing device that includes a memory having stored thereon demographic data and a plurality of electronic fashion item models. Each electronic fashion item model is indicative of a fashion item. The electronic fashion item model includes a fashion item type and a fashion item color scheme. The electronic fashion item model is associated with one or more style genres. The system includes an application configured to, when executed by at least one processor, compile at least one virtual outfit. Each virtual outfit includes at least one electronic fashion item model. Each virtual outfit is compiled based on A) a selected event, B) the particular user's demographic data, and C) style genres.

Abstract: A point of sale terminal of a merchant includes a third party payment provider display area for payment using a third party payment provider. The point of sale terminal receives an authentication notification for a consumer from the third party payment provider. The consumer is authenticated using one or more of a personal identification number, an image of the consumer, a quick response code scanned from a mobile device of the consumer, or a code received via near field communications with the mobile device of the consumer. The point of sale terminal requests payment from the third party payment provider for a transaction with the consumer using the transaction amount and authentication information. The third party provider display area allows new payment modalities to be used at the point of sale terminal without requiring modification of the instructions for the point of sale terminal.

Abstract: A point of sale application may initially process a transaction between a customer and a merchant. While the point of sale application processes the transaction, an add-on application may monitor a current state of a user interface of the point of sale application. Upon recognizing a triggering event associated with the current state of the user interface, the add-on application may take over the processing of the transaction from the point of sale application. Upon completion of the processing of the transaction, the add-on application may return a result of the transaction to the point of sale application by emulating user actions on the user interface of the point of sale application.

Abstract: A method and system for conducting an online payment transaction through a point of sale device. The method includes receiving input from a user selecting an item for purchase through the point of sale device; calculating a total purchase amount for the item in response to a request from the user to purchase the item; and sending payment authorization for the total purchase amount from the point of sale device to a payment entity, in which the payment authorization is sent to the payment entity via a mobile communication device of the user. The method further includes receiving a result of the payment authorization from the payment entity through the mobile communication device; and completing the payment transaction based on the result of the payment authorization.

Abstract: An event at a shelf, such as a user interacting with items on the shelf, may be detected using sensors associated with the shelf. Hypotheses to describe the event are generated based on the collected sensor data. However, hypotheses determined based on only one type of sensor data may not have a confidence value that is sufficiently reliable. Hypotheses derived from different sensor types may be combined to generate new hypotheses that have higher confidence values. For example, hypotheses based on image data may be combined with hypotheses based on weight data to produce hypotheses with higher confidence values that are sufficiently reliable. A hypothesis, from the set of combined hypotheses, having the highest confidence value may then be used to describe the interaction at the shelf, such as identifying the item and quantity of item the user interacted with during the event.
