  • Patent number: 10616545
Abstract: A camera system including imaging optics, a system controller, a retroreflective surface, and an illumination source allows for capturing high quality images that allow for similar white balance between subsequent images. The camera system includes a camera body coupled to the illumination source such that the illumination source emits light towards the retroreflective surface. An object, is mounted to the retroreflective surface such that at least part of the retroreflective surface is obscured by the garment. Consequently, the light emitted from the illumination source is reflected by both the retroreflective surface and the object towards the camera body. The camera body contains imaging optics which capture an image from the reflected light. Thus, the camera system captures images of the object and retroreflective surface. The camera system similarly white balances any number of images including any number of objects.

  • Patent number: 10582110
Abstract: Various image capture control methods and apparatuses are disclosed. An image sensing unit can be inclined relative to an initial normal line, to change a ratio of pixels distributed along two directions in an effective region of the image sensing unit in which light through a lens that is in an imaging system and corresponds to the image sensing unit is imaged on the image sensing unit. The two directions are perpendicular to the initial normal line and orthogonal to each other, the image sensing unit comprises pixels distributed in array, and the pixels are used for recording multidirectional view information of a same object of a scene. An image of the scene is captured using the imaging system. Proportions of parallax information actually recorded by the image sensing unit in the two directions can be changed, and differential capture of view information in different directions can be implemented.

  • Patent number: 10565737
Abstract: A system and method for performing automatic camera calibration is presented. The system communicates with a first camera and a second camera, wherein a transparent platform is disposed between the two cameras. When a 3D calibration pattern is disposed on the platform, the system receives a first set of calibration images from the first camera, and a second set of calibration images from the second camera. The system determines, based on the first set of calibration images, a first set of coordinates for corners of the polyhedron. The system further determines, based on the second set of calibration images, a second set of coordinates for the corners. The system determines, based on the coordinates, a spatial relationship between the first camera and the second camera. The system further uses a description of the spatial relationship to generate a 3D model of an object other than the 3D calibration pattern.
