Abstract: According to one embodiment, a method includes obtaining a media composition for display on an electronic display device is obtained. The media composition includes a plurality of layers, with each layer including a visual element. The method also includes selecting at least some of the layers of the media composition to have a parallax effect applied thereto and determining an amount of total parallax effect to apply to the selected layers. Also, the method includes determining an appropriate amount of offset to apply to each of the selected layers on an individual basis and shifting the selected layers in one or more directions by their respective appropriate amounts. Moreover, the method includes displaying the media composition showing the parallax effect on the electronic display device.

Abstract: A method of processing data in a virtual reality (VR) application is provided. The VR application is restored to an initial running state in response to receiving a playback start instruction. Manipulation data that are transmitted to a runtime library to be pre-captured and stored are obtained, the manipulation data having a time sequence and being used to control running of the VR application. The manipulation data are imported into the runtime library based on the time sequence. The imported manipulation data are transferred to the VR application in the initial running state by using the runtime library and performing playback processing based on the transferred manipulation data.

Abstract: Devices and methods analyze daily hydration in an individual. An application can confirm if typical daily water intake by an individual participating is sufficient to maintain hydration and/or can determine an optimal personalized hydration plan to maintain or improve hydration for the individual. The application can estimate water losses during each of a plurality of activities by considering one or more characteristics of the individual, such as weight, height, gender, heart rate at rest, maximal heart rate, VO2 max, effort intensity, and type of clothes worn, and/or one or more characteristics of each of the plurality of activities, such as the specific category of activity, the time duration, and the location of each of the plurality of activities (e.g., ambient temperature and moisture). The daily hydration plan can improve daily performance by the individual, for example one or more of decreased fatigue, increased motivation, improved mood, or better cognitive functioning.

Abstract: An audio stream is subjected to speech-to-text processing in order to obtain a textual representation of the audio stream. Hierarchical topic extraction is performed on the textual representation to obtain a multi-level hierarchical topic representation of the textual representation. A user interface actuator is generated, which allows a user to search through the audio stream. Different levels of the multi-level hierarchical topic representation are displayed to the user, based upon the speed of actuation of the user interface actuator.

Abstract: A method including receiving, in a server, a first proposal for modifying a document from a user in a first client device, is provided. The document is a collaboration between users hosted by the server, and includes evaluating the first proposal in view of a second proposal selected from a proposal queue that stores multiple proposals from the users, converting the first proposal into a fact when no conflict is identified between the first proposal and the second proposal, and updating a fact sequence in a fact history log to include the fact. The method also includes providing the fact sequence to the first client device for executing at least a portion of the sequence of documented actions. A system and a non-transitory, computer readable medium storing instructions to perform the above method are also provided.

Abstract: A graphical display configuration system of a process control system provides features within the configuration environment that allow a user to create, define, edit, and easily preview the runtime appearance and/or runtime behavior of graphical elements and/or graphical displays in-line with the configuration workflow of the user, without having to compile and/or download draft graphical configurations into the operating environment of a process plant supported by the process control system, and/or without requiring specialized scripts to be implemented within the operating environment of the process plant. Previews of runtime appearances and/or runtime behaviors of draft configurations of graphical elements and/or graphical displays (that are eventually to be executed within the operating environment of the process control system) are able to generated and presented exclusively within the configuration environment, e.g., for testing and/or verification.

Abstract: Embodiments relate to a system, program product, and method for use with an intelligent computer platform to automated and integrated cognitive processing. The embodiments support a mechanism for dynamically detecting a communication, and evaluating the communication with respect to actions and services. The actions are translated to APIs, which are leveraged to dynamically construct a User Interface (UI) as a representation of the evaluated services. The constructed UI is created as a service output to members of the detected communication.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments relate to techniques for creating drawings in communications applications. When the system registers a sustained haptic contact signal, further contacts may generate drawings to be overlaid onto a message thread. While the contact is sustained, each swipe may create a new stroke that is transmitted on a real-time data channel. A new layer may be defined over the messages, having its own coordinate system. The drawing may be recreated on the recipient client by drawing the strokes on the new layer. Each participant may see the drawing displayed over their message thread. The drawing may scroll with the messages, or may be displayed in the same place on the screen until cleared by some action from the sender or recipient.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and software for mobile data visualization frameworks are provided herein. An exemplary method includes, determining data insight candidates for presentation on the mobile computing device that describe analysis of a target dataset, determined based at least on data analysis preferences associated with processing one or more past datasets, and where each of the data insight candidates includes at least one insight object directed to the target dataset and is described by object metadata that indicates at least a processing lineage used to produce the at least one insight object. The method includes selecting a presentation detail level for displaying the data insight candidates on the mobile computing device based at least on properties of the mobile computing device, and generating one or more insight views for presentation on the mobile computing device.

The application user interface is generated using source content. The application user interface is encoded into two or more encoded content streams where the two or more encoded content streams contain source content representable as the application user interface and composition metadata associated with the application user interface. The two or more encoded content stream are sent to the second computing platform. The two or more encoded content streams are received where the two or more encoded content streams contain information reproducible as the application user interface. The two or more encoded content streams are decoded. The application user interface is generated using the two or more decoded content streams and composition metadata associated with the two or more decoded content streams.

Abstract: Interactive editing of a web application at a user end station is described. The user end station dynamically loads into a running instance of the web application an interactive editor that allows editing of one or more user interface (UI) components of that running instance of the web application. A selection of a DOM element of the web application is received and a UI component that corresponds to the selected DOM element is determined. A set of parameters associated with the determined UI component is also determined. A value editor is displayed that is configured to display for at least one of the set of parameters a value and allows for that value to be modified. A modification of at least the value of the at least one of the set of parameters is received and the running instance of the web application is updated to reflect the modified value.
