  • Patent number: 10862646
Abstract: Embodiments described herein encode data for multiple-segment transmission in a communication channel by encoding payload bits with an outer code and distributing the outer encoded payload bits to a plurality of N element coders, where N is an integer greater than one. At each of the N element coders the respectively input outer encoded payload bits are encoded with a respective element code. Outputs of the N element coders are encoded with an inner code such that the inner code applied to at least one of the outputs of the N element coders is a function of the output of at least one other of the N element coders. Finally, N discrete inner coded outputs are provided for transmission in respective N discrete segments of a wireless channel. The examples present polar element coders and the inner code combines outputs of certain element coders with an exclusive-OR function.

  • Patent number: 10855515
Abstract: One or more techniques and/or computing devices are provided for determining whether to perform a switchover operation between computing nodes. A first computing node and a second computing node, configured as disaster recovery partners, may be deployed within a computing environment. The first computing node and the second computing node may be configured to provide operational state information (e.g., normal operation, a failure, etc.) to a cloud environment node state provider and/or cloud persistent storage accessible through a cloud storage service. Accordingly, a computing node may obtain operational state information of a partner node from the cloud environment node state provider and/or the cloud storage service notwithstanding a loss of internode communication and/or an infrastructure failure that may otherwise appear as a failure of the partner node. In this way, the computing node may accurately determine whether the partner node has failed.

  • Patent number: 10841772
Abstract: The method of reliable Internet-Of-Thing (IOT) communication across a plurality of IOT devices, involves identifying device information of a source-IOT-device upon synchronization of the source-IOT-device with a current NB-IOT eNB in an IOT network. Upon activating a first IOT application of the source-IOT-device, a check is made to determine that a first target-IOT-device is discoverable in the current NB-IOT eNB for establishing a first IOT session from the source-IOT-device to the target-IOT-device. A short-distance communication link or a NB-IOT communication link may be selected based on the device information of the source-IOT-device, the discoverability of the first target-IOT-device, and the first IOT application activated on the source-IOT-device, A Physical Resource Block (PRB) for a plurality of packets transmitted using the first communication link may be dynamically allocated based on a buffer occupancy associated with the first IOT application of the source-IOT-device.

  • Patent number: 10827383
Abstract: A wireless device may receive packets according to a protocol, such as Bluetooth, and may rapidly react to receive an interfering RF packet instead of dropping the first RF packet and the interfering RF packet, to decrease message delay due to collisions in high device density environments. When a received signal strength indicator (RSSI) difference between the interfering RF packet and the first RF packet exceeds a threshold, the device may detect the interfering packet and resync a portion of its circuitry to lock on to and receive the interfering packet. The wireless receiver may detect the interfering RF packet by detecting one or more of: a specific resync byte sequence, an increase in RSSI, or a phase shift. Additionally, a wireless device may add the specific resync byte sequence to an RF packet of a standard protocol.
