Abstract: Herein is disclosed a plastic tape, comprising a backing with a first major side comprising a microstructured paint-retention pattern and a second major side that may comprise a microstructured hand-tear pattern and with a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer disposed on second major side of the backing; wherein the backing, the microstructured paint-retention pattern, and the microstructured hand-tear pattern (if present) all constitute a monolithic plastic unit.

Abstract: A closure strip, for use with a corrugated material, includes an elongated flat thermoplastic sheet member and a plurality of thermoplastic undulations. The elongated flat thermoplastic sheet member has a bottom surface and an opposite top surface. The elongated flat thermoplastic sheet member defines a plurality of linearly disposed and spaced apart openings therethrough. A plurality of thermoplastic undulations is complimentary in shape to the corrugated material. Each undulation extends upwardly from the flat thermoplastic sheet member and defines a void that opens to a different one of the openings defined by the flat thermoplastic sheet member.

Abstract: A printable sheet assembly having a facestock that is provided with a plurality of cards including a card whose perimeter is defined by first and second horizontal through-cut lines and first and second vertical through-cut lines, the intersection of the first horizontal through-cut line and the first vertical through-cut line defining a first corner, the intersection of the first horizontal through-cut line and the second vertical through-cut line defining a second card corner. A liner sheet strip is on a back side surface of the facestock. The liner sheet strip covers the first horizontal through-cut line and is wider at one of the card corners than along the first horizontal through-cut line at an area centrally disposed between the card corners, thereby exposing a portion of a back side surface the card, and the liner sheet strip covering portions of the vertical through-cut lines between the horizontal through-cut lines.

Abstract: A label having a region for re-application, capable of ensuring a tensile strength of a strip-shaped backing liner from which label main bodies have been separated even when a region for re-application is provided in a wide range across a width direction. This label includes: label main bodies 2 with a back surface to which an adhesive 3 is applied and with regions for re-application 21, and a strip-shaped backing liner 1 along which the plurality of label main bodies 2 are arranged and temporarily attached at intervals. The strip-shaped backing liner 1 includes a plurality of re-separation backing partial regions 12 at intervals across a width direction perpendicular to the arrangement direction so as to correspond to the region for re-application 21 defined in each label main body 2. Each re-separation backing partial region of the liner being provided over a range wider than the region for re-application 21 in a direction of the arrangement of the label main bodies 2.

Abstract: A preform for the molding of a fiber-reinforced resin beam includes a reinforcing-fiber beam which has been formed from a reinforcing-fiber base made up of many reinforcing fibers and has a cross-sectional shape with at least one linear part and at least one curved part connected to the linear part; and a release sheet bonded and united through an adhesive resin to at least part of a surface of the reinforcing-fiber base along the lengthwise direction for the base. A process for producing a preform includes shaping a continuous flat reinforcing-fiber base having a release sheet bonded and united to a surface thereof so that the cross-sectional shape of the base has a curved part to thereby produce a preshaped object; and bonding and uniting the preshaped object to another preshaped object.

Abstract: A label sheet construction including a liner sheet and a facestock sheet releasably adhered to the liner sheet. A plurality of labels and fold lines are die cut in the facestock sheet but not the liner sheet. The fold lines extend between the labels. After the sheet construction has been passed through a printer or copier and the desired indicia printed on the labels, the construction (an upper portion thereof) is bent back along one of the fold lines. This separates a(n) (upper) portion of the label from the underlying liner sheet. The user then easily grasps the upper portion and peels the label off of the liner sheet without tearing the label. When the label has a burst design, it is preferable to have a pair of fold lines for folding the liner sheet away from a portion of the label. The burst design preferably has alternating long and short points.

Abstract: Forms containing a removable hang tag are disclosed. An example form includes a substrate including a first line of weakness defining a central area and a perimeter area. The form includes a second line of weakness in the central area to divide the central area into a first side and a second side. The form includes a third line of weakness formed in the perimeter area to define a sleeve area. The form includes a fourth line of weakness formed in the sleeve area to divide the sleeve area into a first sleeve layer and a second sleeve layer.

Abstract: A decorative stainless steel rolled sheet has an embossed pattern, suitable for use as a surface finish or an interior surface finish of products, wherein a thin stainless steel sheet subjected to surface treatment including nanoceramic coating or PVD ionic coating resulting in various colors and a release sheet alone or with a nonwoven fabric layer bonded thereto by means of a hot melt adhesive layer are embossed together and bonded to each other with the embossed pattern, thus exhibiting superior bonding strength, heat resistance, fire resistance, scratch resistance, shape stability, flexibility and wrinkling resistance. In the method of manufacturing such a decorative stainless steel rolled sheet, the rolled sheet can be mass produced at uniform quality using a continuous process.

Abstract: An improved integrated multi-use label and concealed document form. In at least one embodiment of the present disclosure, such a form comprises a first sheet material, a second sheet material, and a third sheet material. The sheet materials are joined together with the first sheet material between the other two sheet materials. Lines of weakness defining at least one multi-use label and concealed document label are cut into the joined together sheet materials.

Abstract: Disclosed herein an adhesive substrate having a peelable backing for use with battery packs. The adhesive substrate can include an integral tab, and perforations can be formed between a main body of the substrate and the tab. To peel the backing from the main body, the tab can be detached from the main body while remaining bonded to the peelable backing. The tab can be pulled to peel the backing from the main body of the substrate. The substrate is then applied to the battery pack.

Abstract: A note-carried liquid pack for application on an article by machine includes a base note layer with printed indicia on a top note face. The note-carried liquid pack also includes first and second fluid-impermeable, substantially transparent laminate layers overlying the base note layer. A first adhesive secures the first laminate layer to the base note layer, and a second adhesive secures the second laminate layer to the first laminate layer along an endless adhesive boundary. The endless adhesive boundary surrounds a central portion devoid of adhesive, in which the laminate layers define a liquid-holding pocket therebetween. A substantially transparent liquid is disposed within the pocket to be sealed therein so long as at least portions of the laminate layers adjacent the pocket remain secured to one another. The printed indicia is viewable through the laminate layers and through the pocket.

In portions occupying 70% or more of the total length of the tape, a crosswise extending-off portion of the release liner A of an (n)th-turn portion of the adhesive tape vertically overlaps the adhesive body of an adjacent (n+1)th-turn portion of the adhesive tape to form an overlapping portion; the width of the overlapping portion is one half or more of the width of the adhesive body; and the adhesive body of the (n)th-turn adhesive tape is not present below the adhesive body of the adjacent (n+1)th-turn adhesive tape.

Abstract: A label structure is disclosed for mounting on a container and includes a base panel for affixing to a surface of the container. An adhesive is applied to at least a portion of a rear face of the base panel for adhering the base panel to the container. The label structure further includes a leaflet associated with the base panel for application to the container with the base panel, and the leaflet comprising at least one panel with opposite faces. The label structure also includes a laminating strip securing the leaflet to the base panel, and the laminating strip overlies the leaflet and overlying the base panel. In some embodiments, the leaflet is positioned adjacent to the base panel, with a first portion of the leaflet overlying the base panel and a second portion of the leaflet not overlying the base panel.

Abstract: An assembly includes a light-permeable film layer, a release liner, and a print pattern. The print pattern includes a base layer. The print pattern sub-divides the film layer into a plurality of discrete base layer areas and/or a plurality of transparent areas. The base layer includes a design imaging surface of a first color. The release liner includes an imperforate material. The release liner includes a release surface. The imperforate material when viewed through said light permeable film layer is a second color contrasting with said first color by the graytone of said second color differing from the graytone of said first color by at least 10%. This contrast may provide a more realistic perception of how the assembly will look in situ (e.g., on a window).

Abstract: An apparatus and method is provided for controlling animal activity with an adhesive sheet. In one embodiment, the sheet includes strips uniformly spaced apart on a transfer layer including a bisected protection layer. In another embodiment, the sheet is flat and generally rectangular. In another embodiment, the sheet is rolled. In yet another embodiment, the sheet is deployed from a dispenser. In one embodiment of the method, the sheet is deployed by locating an area of activity to be controlled, removing the control sheet from the transfer sheet, placing the control sheet on an the area of activity to be controlled and then systematically and sequentially removing the first protection sheet and the second protection sheet. In another embodiment, the area to be controlled includes a surface discontinuity requiring placement of the control sheet along the discontinuity.
