Patent number: 8273434Abstract: Resealable multi-ply labels include a base label ply and an overlaminate for capturing onserts between them. The base label plies carry an adhesive layer on the bottom surface for mounting the resealable multi-ply labels to articles. The base plies each include a hinge area, an attachment area, a tab area, and an intermediate area separating the hinge area from the attachment area. The overlaminates form permanent bonds with both the hinge areas and the tab areas of the base plies and form reusable bonds with the attachment areas of the base plies. The permanently bonded tab areas of the base plies provide access for releasing the overlaminates from the attachment areas of the base plies and exposing the onserts.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 2010Date of Patent: September 25, 2012Assignee: WS Packaging Group, Inc.Inventors: Robert C. Patent number: 8268427Abstract: A display sheet includes a substrate; front-side and rear-side synthetic resin composition layers formed on front and rear surfaces, respectively, of the substrate; and an ink layer formed by ink-jet on the front-side synthetic resin composition layer. The substrate is made of sailcloth having projections and depressions on front and rear surfaces thereof. A surface of the front-side synthetic resin composition layer is formed on an irregular surface having projections and depressions attributed to the projections and depressions of the surface of the substrate. The ink layer is formed by causing a fine ink to cover the projections and permeate the depressions.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 2008Date of Patent: September 18, 2012Assignee: Koyo Sangyo Co., Ltd.Inventors: Tsumoru Nomura, Senichirou Araki, Yasuyo Omori, Naomi Kuwakubo, Atsushi Nagakura, Soichi Funayama

Patent number: 8263201Abstract: A self-laminating rotating cable marker label is constructed of a transparent film having a first adhesive area, an adhesive-free smooth area, and a second adhesive area. A print-on area forms one side of the transparent film, the print-on area adapted to receive indicia identifying the cable about which the marker label is applied. A perforation extends across the transparent film providing a line of separation of the transparent film. When wrapped around a cable, the second adhesive area overlies the print-on area such that the cable identifying indicia is visible through the transparent second adhesive area. As the transparent film is wrapped around the cable, the first adhesive area adheres to the cable. The remainder of the transparent film is rotated, breaking the perforation, whereby the smooth area of the film in contact with the cable provides smooth rotation of the label around the cable.Type: GrantFiled: May 7, 2009Date of Patent: September 11, 2012Assignee: Panduit Corp.Inventors: Jack E. Caveney, David Scott Morrison, Michael Scott Adams

Patent number: 8252401Abstract: A release sheet is provided. The release sheet comprises: a base material having one surface and the other surface; and a release agent layer provided on the one surface of the base material. The release agent layer contains substantially no silicone compound and is constituted of a polymer material containing a polyolefine-based thermoplastic elastomer of which density is in the range of 0.80 to 0.90 g/cm3. A Young's modulus of the release agent layer is in the range of 0.1 to 0.3 GPa. An arithmetic mean deviation of a profile Ra of the other surface of the base material is in the range of 100 to 1800 nm. This makes it possible to sufficiently suppress adverse effects on electric components and the like, prevent blocking from occurring when the release film is wound up in a rolled form and stored in this state, and exhibit superior releasability. A pressure-sensitive adhesive article is also provided.Type: GrantFiled: March 4, 2008Date of Patent: August 28, 2012Assignee: Lintec CorporationInventors: Shiori Beppu, Toshio Sugizaki
