Abstract: A protection system kit is provided for at least one vehicular window panel mounted in a window opening of a vehicle. The kit comprises a film unit supply assembly including a release liner and a multi-layer, self-adhesive film unit. The film unit includes a first film layer and a first adhesive layer releasably securing the first film layer to the release liner. The film unit further includes a second film layer secured to the first film layer on the release liner by a second adhesive layer. The second film layer is selectively removable from the first film layer by peeling the second film layer away from the first film layer. The first adhesive layer is adapted to secure the first film layer to a vehicular window panel in an associated window opening of a vehicle. The first and second film layers are pre-configured to fit the window opening.

  • Patent number: 8273434
Abstract: Resealable multi-ply labels include a base label ply and an overlaminate for capturing onserts between them. The base label plies carry an adhesive layer on the bottom surface for mounting the resealable multi-ply labels to articles. The base plies each include a hinge area, an attachment area, a tab area, and an intermediate area separating the hinge area from the attachment area. The overlaminates form permanent bonds with both the hinge areas and the tab areas of the base plies and form reusable bonds with the attachment areas of the base plies. The permanently bonded tab areas of the base plies provide access for releasing the overlaminates from the attachment areas of the base plies and exposing the onserts.

  • Patent number: 8268427
Abstract: A display sheet includes a substrate; front-side and rear-side synthetic resin composition layers formed on front and rear surfaces, respectively, of the substrate; and an ink layer formed by ink-jet on the front-side synthetic resin composition layer. The substrate is made of sailcloth having projections and depressions on front and rear surfaces thereof. A surface of the front-side synthetic resin composition layer is formed on an irregular surface having projections and depressions attributed to the projections and depressions of the surface of the substrate. The ink layer is formed by causing a fine ink to cover the projections and permeate the depressions.

  • Patent number: 8263201
Abstract: A self-laminating rotating cable marker label is constructed of a transparent film having a first adhesive area, an adhesive-free smooth area, and a second adhesive area. A print-on area forms one side of the transparent film, the print-on area adapted to receive indicia identifying the cable about which the marker label is applied. A perforation extends across the transparent film providing a line of separation of the transparent film. When wrapped around a cable, the second adhesive area overlies the print-on area such that the cable identifying indicia is visible through the transparent second adhesive area. As the transparent film is wrapped around the cable, the first adhesive area adheres to the cable. The remainder of the transparent film is rotated, breaking the perforation, whereby the smooth area of the film in contact with the cable provides smooth rotation of the label around the cable.

  • Patent number: 8252401
Abstract: A release sheet is provided. The release sheet comprises: a base material having one surface and the other surface; and a release agent layer provided on the one surface of the base material. The release agent layer contains substantially no silicone compound and is constituted of a polymer material containing a polyolefine-based thermoplastic elastomer of which density is in the range of 0.80 to 0.90 g/cm3. A Young's modulus of the release agent layer is in the range of 0.1 to 0.3 GPa. An arithmetic mean deviation of a profile Ra of the other surface of the base material is in the range of 100 to 1800 nm. This makes it possible to sufficiently suppress adverse effects on electric components and the like, prevent blocking from occurring when the release film is wound up in a rolled form and stored in this state, and exhibit superior releasability. A pressure-sensitive adhesive article is also provided.

  • Patent number: 8231956
Abstract: A source roll having a first layer of liner paper and a second roll of two-sided adhesive is fed through a pair of rollers having six aligned rotary die cutters sized to cut through only the adhesive layer. The excess adhesive web is peeling off and removed from the process. The liner paper with spaced apart sets of six aligned adhesive dots is then laminated with a clear plastic having two sides, one uncoated and one coated, to allow the clear plastic to be easily rolled up and then unrolled, and the liner paper is peeled off and removed from the process. The material remaining having the adhesive circular dots is cut into six long strips each having six adhesive dots which can be used to display small discrete packages.
