  • Patent number: 10321024
Abstract: A color-separation optical system for image capture includes three rolling shutter CMOS image capturing elements of B, G and R, respectively capturing: an image of B at the speed of an integer N multiple of the number of output picture frames, an image of G at the speed of an integer M multiple of N+1, and an image of R at the speed of the integer M multiple of N+1. The vertical synchronization phases of the captured image frames of B, G and R, are offset by approximately half the vertical synchronization period of an even multiple of speed such that the center phases of the captured image frames of B, G and R have approximately the same vertical synchronization phase. A picture to be output uses the vertical effective pictures of the captured image frames having approximately the same vertical synchronization phase.

  • Patent number: 10306180
Abstract: In some implementations, a system is capable of reducing latencies associated with streaming virtual reality (VR) content over a virtualized computing environment. A first frame of VR content provided to a computing device is identified. A second frame of the VR content to be rendered for display on the computing device is also identified. Input data associated with the VR content streamed on the computing device is obtained. A collection of partial frames associated with the first frame is determined. One or more partial frames is selected from among the collection of partial frames that are associated with the first frame. An instruction for rendering the second frame is generated. The instruction includes at least, for each of the selected partial frames, a representation of the difference between a corresponding portion of the first frame and a particular partial frame. The instruction is provided to the computing device.

  • Patent number: 10298910
Abstract: This disclosure is directed to calibrating sensors mounted on an autonomous vehicle. First image data and second image data representing an environment can be captured by first and second cameras, respectively (and or a single camera at different points in time). Point pairs comprising a first point in the first image data and a second point in the second image data can be determined and projection errors associated with the points can be determined. A subset of point pairs can be determined, e.g., by excluding point pairs with the highest projection error. Calibration data associated with the subset of points can be determined and used to calibrate the cameras without the need for calibration infrastructure.
