Abstract: Systems and methods can be used to detect thermal anomalies in a target scene of an infrared image. Acquired thermal image data can be compared to a statistical thermal profile to detect thermal anomalies in the image data. Anomaly data based on the comparison can be used to generate an image representing locations and/or severity of detected anomalies. Systems can be used to acquire thermal image data for generating and/or updating statistical thermal profiles for use in anomaly detection processes. Auxiliary measurement devices can provide measurement data representative of one or more parameters of the target scene. The measurement data can be used to select from a plurality of possible statistical thermal profiles associated with the target scene to best match the current parameters of the scene.

  • Patent number: 10371625
Abstract: Identification of reflective surfaces as being associated with optical threats is disclosed. A first laser signal is emitted from a first laser system at a first wavelength and a first emission circular polarization orientation. A first signal reflection of the first laser signal from a reflective surface at the first wavelength having a first return circular polarization orientation that is different from the first emission circular polarization orientation is detected. A first return quantification of the first signal reflection, based at least in part on an amount of circular polarization of the first signal reflection, is determined. It is determined that the reflective surface is associated with a threat optic based at least in part on the first return quantification.

  • Patent number: 10356341
Abstract: Various embodiments of the present invention relate generally to systems and methods for analyzing and manipulating images and video. In particular, a multi-view interactive digital media representation (MVIDMR) of a person can be generated from live images of a person captured from a hand-held camera. Using the image data from the live images, a skeleton of the person and a boundary between the person and a background can be determined from different viewing angles and across multiple images. Using the skeleton and the boundary data, effects can be added to the person, such as wings. The effects can change from image to image to account for the different viewing angles of the person captured in each image.

  • Patent number: 10306180
Abstract: In some implementations, a system is capable of reducing latencies associated with streaming virtual reality (VR) content over a virtualized computing environment. A first frame of VR content provided to a computing device is identified. A second frame of the VR content to be rendered for display on the computing device is also identified. Input data associated with the VR content streamed on the computing device is obtained. A collection of partial frames associated with the first frame is determined. One or more partial frames is selected from among the collection of partial frames that are associated with the first frame. An instruction for rendering the second frame is generated. The instruction includes at least, for each of the selected partial frames, a representation of the difference between a corresponding portion of the first frame and a particular partial frame. The instruction is provided to the computing device.

  • Patent number: 10298910
Abstract: This disclosure is directed to calibrating sensors mounted on an autonomous vehicle. First image data and second image data representing an environment can be captured by first and second cameras, respectively (and or a single camera at different points in time). Point pairs comprising a first point in the first image data and a second point in the second image data can be determined and projection errors associated with the points can be determined. A subset of point pairs can be determined, e.g., by excluding point pairs with the highest projection error. Calibration data associated with the subset of points can be determined and used to calibrate the cameras without the need for calibration infrastructure.
