  • Patent number: 6920903
Abstract: An inkjet cartridge refurbishing apparatus includes a pump assembly with a fluid intake line that can be inserted into a bottle or other reservoir of ink or flushing/cleaning material. Connected to the output of the pump assembly is a fill gun having a fill needle mounted on a handle. The fill gun is operated by inserting the fill needle into an inkjet cartridge and actuating a fill trigger switch on the fill gun. Actuating the fill trigger switch activates the pump assembly to pump ink into the cartridge. An auto-cutoff device may control the volume of fluid pumped into the cartridge.

  • Patent number: 6913046
Abstract: A shear valve assembly for a fuel dispenser that ensures that the energy from an impact to the fuel dispenser causes a shear valve placed inline to the fuel supply conduit to engage if there is a possibility that such impact could cause the fuel supply conduit to break thereby causing a leak of fuel to the environment. The shear valve assembly may be constructed as part of the fuel dispenser during the manufacture of the fuel dispenser, or the shear valve assembly may be constructed separately from the fuel dispenser and attached to the fuel dispenser in the field during installation of a fuel dispenser.

  • Patent number: 6910510
Abstract: A portable, cryogenic gas delivery apparatus includes a chamber which contains cryogenic material, such as oxygen, in both liquid and gas phases. A probe is mounted to move relative to the chamber in response to variations in pressure in the gas phase within the chamber. The probe has one part positioned within the chamber so that it is exposed to the pressure and temperature of the gas within the chamber and a second part located outside the chamber. The probe thus introduces heat from the ambient into the chamber. The probe preferably moves relative to the chamber in response to variations in pressure, moving away from the chamber to reduce the amount of thermal energy introduced into the chamber and toward the chamber to increase the amount of thermal energy introduced into the chamber. The apparatus includes a conserver which receives gas evaporating from the chamber and delivers it in efficient pulses to the end user in response to the user's inhalation.

  • Patent number: 6910231
Abstract: A toilet system which can be rinsed by a rinsing device. A pipe is connected to the toilet pan and leads to a sanitation pipe. Means are provided for transporting a suction material from the toilet pan into the pipe and into the sanitation pipe. Said means comprise two valves which are arranged in the pipe and a pressure chamber is disposed in-between. In order to suction the suction material from the toilet pan, low pressure is produced in the pressure chamber and used to transport said suctioned material. The pressure chamber is embodied as a piston cylinder and the piston is connected to a controllable drive in order to produce the high and low pressure. The inventive toilet system enables rinsing to occur using a very small amount of water and which can be adapted to different toilet pans.

  • Patent number: 6904943
Abstract: A vent system associated with a vapor outlet is coupled to a container (e.g., a fuel tank). The vent system can be used for onboard refueling vapor recovery (ORVR) for vehicles. The vent system includes a first elongated member (e.g., a vent tube), a rotating device, and a second elongated member (e.g., a breather tube) that is coupled between the rotating device and a buoyant device. The buoyant device interacts with materials (e.g., fuel) input into the fuel tank to actuate rotation of the rotating device. Once a predetermined amount of fuel has been input into the fuel tank, the buoyant device rotates the rotating device a predetermined amount, which stops venting of fuel vapor through the vent system. The fuel level continues to increase up the filler pipe until an automatic shut off mechanism of the device controlling fuel input stops fuel flow.

  • Patent number: 6901611
Abstract: A head fitting for a bathtub waste water drainage system is disclosed. The head fitting simplifies leak testing in bathtub waste water drainage system and eliminates the need for a separate test cap and fastening hardware for leak testing. The head fitting includes an internal partition wall and a breakout test plug molded as an integral part of the head fitting. The internal partition wall and breakout test plug initially hermetically seal the flow passage of the head fitting for leak testing the drainage system. The test plug can be broken out from the internal partition wall to open the flow passage after leak testing and without damaging the head fitting. The test plug forms part of the partition wall defined by an annular groove in the partition wall. The groove forms an annular band of relatively thin material (fracture band) that integrally connects the test plug to the partition wall, but allows the test plug to be forcefully separated from the partition wall.
