  • Patent number: 11297691
Abstract: Embodiments of interference coordination for aerial vehicle user equipment (UE) are described. In some embodiments, a base station (BS) is configured to select a subset of time-frequency resources dedicated for use in serving aerial vehicle UEs and communicate with the aerial vehicle UEs via the subset of time-frequency resources. In some embodiments, the BS may transmit signaling to a neighbor BS that indicates the BS has dedicated the subset of time-frequency resources for serving aerial vehicle UEs and the subset of time-frequency resources to be used. The BS may receive an indication from the neighbor BS that a neighbor BS is to dedicate the subset of time-frequency resources to serve aerial vehicle UE, and based on the indication, the BS may reduce transmission activities in the subset of time-frequency resources, including refraining from transmitting or reducing an amount of information or power level of signaling to the aerial vehicle UEs.

  • Patent number: 11297649
Abstract: A dynamic configuration of crest factor reduction in a licensed assisted access radio system. A processing device comprises a detecting block, a clipping pulse generator, a first storage block, a selecting block, a full clipping block and a simplified clipping block. The detecting block performs a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure on a plurality of carriers in parallel and generates a trigger signal in response to LBT success on one or more carriers. The clipping pulse generator generates, for the carrier(s) with LBT success, a clipping pulse within a time period from the receipt of the trigger signal to the start of user traffic transmission. The first storage block stores the clipping pulse for use by the full clipping block. The selecting block selects the full clipping block when there is user traffic on the carrier(s) and selects the simplified clipping block when there is no user traffic on the carrier(s).

  • Patent number: 11184831
Abstract: A solar-powered device (SPD) relay node is coupled to a remotely-located “leaf” node in order to provide the leaf node with network access. The SPD relay node routes network traffic to and from the leaf node via one or more different paths that traverse other SPD relay nodes that reside upstream of the SPD relay node. The SPD relay node determines a specific path across which to route the network traffic based on several different factors associated with the upstream SPD relay nodes, including battery level, solar generation rate, and link quality. The SPD relay node generates a routing metric for each upstream SPD relay node based on these different factors and then routes traffic across the upstream SPD relay nodes based on the routing metric and based on a priority level associated with the network traffic.

  • Patent number: 11184191
Abstract: A network security device has a local area network (LAN) interface and a wide area network (WAN) interface, with a capability to route packets of a network connection along a fast path that bypasses a network stack of an operating system of the network security device. A packet of a network connection that is received at the LAN interface is routed to a virtual network interface. A packet inspector reads the packet from the virtual network interface, inspects the packet, and writes the packet back to the virtual network interface after inspection. The packet is routed from the virtual network interface to the WAN interface, and exits the WAN interface towards the destination network address of the packet. After inspecting one or more packets of the network connection, subsequently received packets of the network connection are routed along the fast path.

  • Patent number: 11147102
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for aggregating random access requests across two or more physical random access channel (PRACH) occasions. Poor channel quality may inhibit the receipt of random access requests, and for user equipments (UEs) located in areas with relatively poor coverage, such aggregated random access requests may have an increased likelihood of successful receipt at a base station. The base station may configure a number of PRACH occasions to be available for aggregation of random access requests. A UE may receive PRACH configuration information from the base station, may aggregate a random access request across two or more PRACH occasions using the PRACH configuration information, and may transmit the aggregated random access request via the PRACH occasions. The base station may also configure one or more PRACH occasions to have a smaller subcarrier spacing for transmission of a random access request.
