  • Patent number: 10755033
Abstract: Systems and methods for digital content editing and assessment are described. Software tools may perform heuristic processing of the digital content, producing computer-generated edits to the digital content. In addition, a user may accept, reject, or modify these computer-generated edits, and/or make additional edits to other portions of the digital content. The digital content may be subjected to additional processing steps prior to completion or publication. Various metrics associated with the editing of the digital content may be stored and analyzed to evaluate the performance of the digital content editing. This evaluation may be used to make changes to the editing process, such as to refine the detection heuristics for automated editing or modify other processes of the editing workflow.

  • Patent number: 10726095
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are described for automated optimization of one or more pages for display by a mobile computing device. Based on an analysis of the series of actions taken by a number of different users when interacting with one or more pages, a system may group the users into two or more groups based on similarities in the users' action paths. The system may then generate an optimized page template for the group that includes identifiers of the portions of at least one page determined to be frequently accessed or otherwise of interest to the users in the group, and that excludes at least some other portions of the at least one page. This template may be subsequently used to generate a modified version of a page for display on a mobile computing device operated by a member of the group.

  • Patent number: 10713420
Abstract: A method, computer program product, and system for composition and declaration of tiled images in a style sheet. Embodiments commence upon identifying a cascaded style sheet (CSS) repository, wherein the CSS repository comprises referenced images that correspond to a subset of a set of images that are referenced in rules and fetching the referenced images that are within the CSS repository. The referenced images that were fetched are assembled into a spirited image. The spirited image is then augmented by placing high-resolution images into a sprited layout, wherein the high-resolution images correspond to the referenced images from the rules. One or more modified CSS sheets that references the sprited image rather than the referenced images are generated.

  • Patent number: 10706213
Abstract: A system and method that converts the digital typesetting documents used in publishing to a device-specific format for electronic publishing. A “smart file and device-specific application” approach maintains the “look and feel” (design) of the source document used for print publication while typesetting for a specific device. Although this approach requires considerably more resources to create a smart file for each device-specific format, the smart file retains the unique typesetting characteristics of the printed book, is more aesthetically pleasing, and is easier to read. Furthermore, the device-specific application can render the smart file more quickly thereby eliminating any latency.

  • Patent number: 10705705
Abstract: A system for generating user interface elements comprises a data analysis module, a receiver module and an element generation module. The data analysis module is arranged to identify a plurality of classes in input data, wherein each class is associated with a plurality of characteristic values each with a corresponding time stamp. The receiver module is arranged to receive a selection of a first time stamp, and the data analysis module is arranged to determine a first selection of the characteristic values each associated with the first time stamp. The element generation module is arranged to generate a plurality of user interface elements each associated with a class by calculating, for each user interface element, a two-dimensional area based on the characteristic value in the first selection associated with the class of the element.

  • Patent number: 10705685
Abstract: A graphical user interface (GUI) can be tested using a navigation system to access objects. As an example, a processing device in a system can receive a selection of an object. The selection can be made through the GUI. In response to the selection, the processing device retrieves the object and a destination at which the object is located. The processing device recursively traverses a backwards navigation path from the destination to the graphical user interface using the name of the object and the destination. The processing device can then navigate to the destination using the backwards navigation path.

  • Patent number: 10699285
Abstract: A system and an operating method of a questionnaire sticker applying to various communication software programs are described. The system includes a server, a user platform, a user end and a sending end. The server includes a group database and a questionnaire sticker database. The group database and the questionnaire sticker database are respectively accessed by a registration interface and a sticker interface included in the user platform. The user end inputs the registration information through the registration interface, so as to create a user group or join a friend group. The sending end selects one of the questionnaire sticker models through the sticker interface to form a questionnaire sticker. The questionnaire sticker is sent to the group members through the corresponding communication software.

  • Patent number: 10679672
Abstract: Examples described herein may involve synthesizing a presentation of from multiple media clips. An example implementation a plurality of media clips including a first video clip with a first audio waveform and a second video clip with a second audio waveform. The implementation matches a first acoustic fingerprint of at least a part of the first audio waveform with a second acoustic fingerprint of at least a part of the second audio waveform. The implementation determines an overlap of the first video clip with the second video clip based at least in part on the match. The implementation merges the first video clip and the second video clip into a group of overlapping video clips based on the overlap and generates a presentation that includes the group formed by merging the first video clip and the second video clip based on the overlap.

  • Patent number: 10649725
Abstract: Systems of the present disclosure adjust an interface mode of an application based on paralinguistic features of audio input. The audio input is via a microphone associated with a computing device. A predictive model uses paralinguistic features of the audio input and additional features received from sensors or a user profile to predict an interface mode that a user would currently prefer to use. The interface mode specifies how output is provided and how input is received. The interface mode may also specify which elements of a graphical user interface are displayed, where the elements are placed, and how the elements are sized.

  • Patent number: 10650184
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to linking text boxes and features associated with linked text boxes. A user interface feature in a document authoring application program for creating text boxes may include a text box creation graphical menu item presented on a display of an electronic device. In response to receiving user input indicative of a selection of the text box graphical menu item, the application program is configured to cause the electronic device to render a text box that includes a bounding edge in the document on the display. Additionally, the user interface feature includes a selectable visual indicator displayed as an integral part of the text box. The selectable visual indicator is indicative of a thread of text boxes in which the text box is included.

  • Patent number: 10643070
Abstract: A device may receive an image stream of an environment of an electronic display. The device may detect that a target is in the environment, wherein the target is detected based on the image stream including an image associated with the target. The device may identify that a first object is associated with the target, wherein the first object is identified based on the object recognition model being trained to recognize the first object. The device may determine a characteristic of the first object and may determine that a second object is in the environment. The device may generate content that is to be displayed via the electronic display, wherein the content is generated based on the characteristic of the first object and a characteristic of the second object. The device may cause the content to be displayed via the electronic display to permit the target to access the content.

  • Patent number: 10642482
Abstract: There is provided a gesture-based GUI (system, method, etc.) to facilitate input of numerical data using a continuous swipe gesture. A gesture-based I/O device displays a GUI presenting a gross number and a gross number control to initially define a specific number for further defining with specificity. In response to a first gesture (hard click or pause) interacting with the gross number control, the specific number is initially defined as the gross number and a finer number control is presented to refine the specific number. In response to a continuous swipe gesture continuing from the first gesture and interacting with the finer number control, the interface further defines the specific number with finer specificity where a quantum varies in response to a direction and distance of the continuous swipe. Successive finer number controls may be also be presented to refine the specific number by continuing the swipe.

  • Patent number: 10643024
Abstract: A method is provided for converting a binary data stream, (e.g., an EXI data stream). In an initialization phase of the method, a plurality of grammars, previously produced from at least one description language scheme, are read from a memory area and combined to form a combined grammar and wherein the combined grammar is supplied to a runtime environment for the purpose of converting the binary data stream. The method firstly permits substantially accelerated production of the desired grammar in comparison with a grammar produced as required from individual schemes, and secondly the memory space requirement may be kept down, because there is no need to keep a combinational variety of grammars available.
