Abstract: A hair accessory includes a pouch formed from an elastic material and having an opening edge. An elastic loop is secured to the pouch at a hem formed at the open edge of the pouch. An elastic band is interengaged with the elastic loop. The elastic band is used to secure hair in a ponytail. The hair then is formed into a bun and the pouch is snapped into engagement over the bun to hold the hair in the bun shape.

Abstract: A hair styling tool for performing weaves without leaving a bulky and unkempt look and without damaging hair including a housing having a plurality of compartments formed therein. The hair styling tool includes a plurality of hair styling tools each having interior ends and exterior ends. The interior ends are pivotally coupled with the housing whereby each of the hair styling tools being removably positionable within the plurality of compartments in a closed orientation. Each of the plurality of hair styling tools have a styling tool portion disposed on the exterior ends thereof.

Abstract: A styling device manipulated by a user that includes a hand-held styling comb; a wrist band that is adapted for attachment about the wrist of the user; and a tether line having one end attached to the hand-held styling comb and the other opposite end attached to the wrist band. The tether line enables the hand-held styling comb to be secured to the wrist band for easy access by the user.

Abstract: In one embodiment of the present invention, an electric folding flossing apparatus is provided and includes a handle and a power supply contained therein, an arm movably joined to the handle at one end and having a flossing tool disposed at another end, a motor mechanism contained within the arm and operable to move the flossing tool when activated, and includes the ability to supply power to the motor mechanism when the flossing tool is in an outstretched position. The ability to supply power to the motor mechanism is accomplished with a first electrical contact in communication with the power supply and positioned in the handle, and a second electrical contact in communication with the motor mechanism and positioned in the arm such that when the arm and the handle are in the outstretched position the first and second electrical contacts make an electrical connection such that power from the power supply operates the motor mechanism.

Abstract: A device for sanding, buffing or grinding elongate objects includes a housing having a collar at one end and a rotatable sanding/buffing head rotatably mounted in the collar. The collar defines a cavity. A driveshaft is mounted to a motor in the housing for rotation of the driveshaft about an axis of rotation of the head upon actuation of the motor. A distal end of the driveshaft extends into the cavity in the collar. The sanding/buffing head may be cup-shaped and removably mounted or mountable into the collar on to the distal end of the driveshaft. The driveshaft rotates the cup within, and relative to, the collar upon the actuation of the motor. An abrasive is mounted to the annular inner surface of the cavity in the collar. The second end of the housing, opposite the first end, provides a handle for manual grasping and lifting by a user.

Abstract: A hair colorant device capable of separately housing two volatile hair colorant solutions. The hair colorant device has two compartments used to store, introduce and mix the hair colorant solutions. When combined the two hair colorant solutions may be applied to a person's hair.

Abstract: A hair styling device includes two blades that are hinged together at one end thereof and provide heated plates at the opposite ends for styling hair. The blades and heated plates provide a fine straight edge at one side and a rounded edge at the opposing side.

Abstract: A dental flosser is moveable between a stored, non-use position where the flosser is substantially planar, and an engaged or in-use position where a portion of the flosser is angled relative to the handle to aid in reaching back teeth. The dental flosser preferably includes a holder (which may be a U-shaped holder) that is movable between the non-use and in-use position; a handle; a living hinge between the holder and the handle, and a locking arm designed to secure the holder in the in-use position.

Abstract: A comb for the hair includes a first side having a first series of teeth and a second side having a series of notches. At least one tooth is provided in the base of one or more of the notches. The tooth or teeth in the notch or notches have an end set back or recessed from the opening of the notch. The first and second sides extend on either side or in different directions from a lengthwise axis of the comb.

Abstract: A cosmetic brush for applying make-up which includes a brush member, a main body located at the lower portion of the brush member and a movable bar connected to an intermediate coupler and reciprocally disposed to generate air pressure and to discharge cosmetic powder from the main body to the brush member by pushing up the main body when applying the make-up, wherein the movable bar includes vertical grooves and a press-ring and can move up and down by pushing the main body combined with the intermediate coupler containing the movable bar, so that the cosmetic powder housed in the body is conveyed through a powder transport duct positioned at the top portion of an upper movable body through the vertical grooves in the movable bar formed on top portion of the intermediate coupler and then distributes the cosmetic to the brush member side in a desirable distribution, resulting in improved convenience for the make-up user with an easier and simpler operation.

Abstract: A self cleaning hair brush includes a handle (12), a bristle-holding head (14) having a plurality of spaced-apart bristles (16) projecting laterally therefrom, and a combing plate (18) having a plurality of bristle-receiving apertures (46). When the combing plate (18) is in a first position, the combing plate (18) closely overlies the side of the bristle-holding head (14) from which the bristles (16) project allowing the bristles (16) to project through the apertures (46). The bristle-holding head (14) further includes a rectangular tube (22) disposed on a central portion of the bristle-holding head (14). A reciprocally movable plunger (20) is mounted in the rectangular tube (22). The plunger (20) is used to displace the combing plate (18) to a second position where the combing plate (18) is disposed at a free end of the bristles (16).

Abstract: A multiple band fastener and method for securing sections of hair of a human being in sections and for aligning hair bands. The apparatus is a semicircle headband that has a plurality of hair bands integrally attached and aligned longitudinally along its top. In use, the headband is attached to the hair and hair sections are neatly aligned and secured to the multiple band fastener by placing each corresponding hair section into the corresponding hair band. Each band always remains aligned with each other and the multiple band hair fastener is easily removable and reusable.

Abstract: Disclosed is a tooth-cleaning paper combined with dental floss, in which the tooth-cleaning paper is formed of a thin paper or a gauze sterilized and wetted with an aqueous fluoride solution and has a plurality of edge cuts formed along an edge of the tooth-cleaning paper, and the dental floss is provided in a single strand or two strands along a margin of the tooth-cleaning paper to be fixed to the tooth-cleaning paper and has an exposed dental floss part formed by each of the plurality of edge cuts of the tooth-cleaning paper. The tooth-cleaning paper of the current invention is advantageous in terms of easily cleaning the teeth and interdental portions of users while not offending other persons at any time and in any place.

Abstract: A dental flosser includes a handle and a dental floss holder releasably received by the handle. The dental floss holder includes a base, a pair of arms for holding a length of dental floss, and a toothpick extending from the base. The handle includes a receiver in which the toothpick on the dental floss holder is received. The handle and the dental floss holder cooperate to prevent transverse movement of the dental floss holder.

Abstract: The present invention consists of a seamless self-adhesive hair extension and a method of attaching it to a head of a wearer. The seamless self-adhesive hair extension is comprised of a plurality of either natural or synthetic hair strands attached to a base support made of polyurethane which has a rectangular strip of double-sided self-adhesive tape with a removable backing as a fastener. The method consists of separating a user's hair along a part line into an upper portion and a lower portion, wherein the upper portion and lower portion are temporarily swept up and away from the part line. Another double-sided rectangular strip of self-adhesive tape is placed along a lower portion part line approximately ¼? from the scalp onto the user's natural hair, and then alternating ¼? strands of the user's natural hair are withdrawn from the upper portion of hair above the part line such that the strands will be laid upon the double-sided self-adhesive tape.

Abstract: A handheld device for sculpting hair includes a pliable member having a substantially smooth bottom surface. A plurality of spaced-apart bores are disposed in the bottom surface. When the handheld device is placed against a person's head, the pliable member at least partially deforms to conform to the shape of the person's head. By repeatedly pulling the bottom surface of the pliable member across the hair tangentially to the surface of the person's scalp, the plurality of spaced-apart bores disposed in the bottom surface cause clumps of hair to be formed at substantially regular intervals that are a function of the distance between ones of the spaced-apart bores.

The system comprises a hair care instrument including a mounting base having opposing sides each defining a mounting portion in its cross-section. The base includes a proximal end. A first implement is removably connected to at least one of said opposing sides of said base. A handle is provided having an interface edge, the interface edge is adjacent the proximal end of the base, wherein the handle is removably connected to the proximal end of the mounting base.

A foam outer layer is applied about an exterior surface associated with the core, said outer layer further including a smooth fabric satin covering. A clamp mechanism is engageably secured about an annular surface associated with the spool-shaped core, the clamp mechanism including inwardly directed and extending serrated edges. The clamp mechanism is manipulated between opened and closed positions, and such that the serrated edges biasingly sandwich a user's hair wound about the outer layer.
