  • Patent number: 11426519
Abstract: An autoinjector includes: an insertion spring between a housing and plunger assembly; a syringe driver; a second release mechanism releasing the plunger assembly from the housing, causing the insertion spring to move the plunger assembly through the housing with a syringe driver; a stop limiting movement of the syringe driver in the housing; and a third release mechanism releasing the plunger assembly from the syringe driver upon engagement with the stop, allowing the plunger assembly to continue through the housing. The first release mechanism releases the plunger from the delivery spring housing upon contact between the plunger assembly and a bung, causing the delivery spring to separate the delivery spring housing and the plunger, applying a delivery force to a bung. A latch mechanism latches the delivery spring housing at a forward position, preventing rearward movement of the delivery spring housing following release of the plunger.

  • Patent number: 11337894
Abstract: Improved apparatus for use with animal medication in fluid form, which is particularly beneficial for medications having a relatively high viscosity. The disclosed syringe adapter has an opening that is relatively large, as compared to a conventional needle, and thus affixing the disclosed syringe adapter to a syringe improves syringeability of higher-viscosity medications. When the disclosed syringe adapter is affixed to a pistol-grip or tab-handled syringe, the medication withdrawn into the pistol-grip syringe can be more easily administered from the syringe barrel (noting that the syringe adapter will be replaced with a needle prior to injecting the medication).

  • Patent number: 11291801
Abstract: A patient access site securement system includes a housing with an inlet, an outlet and an internal fluid path between the inlet and the outlet. The housing also has a connecting portion that connects to a catheter and/or a fluid line attached to the catheter. A contact surface is located on an underside of the housing and positions the patient access site securement system on the patient. A first reservoir with an interior holds a liquid and transitions from a first state to a second state. The interior is in fluid communication with the inlet when the reservoir is in the second state to allow the liquid to flow from the inlet, through the internal fluid path and exit the outlet. The liquid interacts with the contact surface and/or the patient to alter a level of securement between the catheter and the patient.

  • Patent number: 11235105
Abstract: The auto-injector consists of a front unit connected to a rear unit, wherein the front unit contains a syringe holder with a syringe coaxially sliding between injecting and secure positions within an activating element preloaded via an ejection spring to secure a trigger button through a stopper located in the rear unit. The rear unit contains a syringe pusher with a plunger managed via a controller coaxially moved by an injection spring to the front unit upon activating the trigger for injecting medication. After the injection, the activating elements revert to allow the controller to release the syringe which moves into to secure position with the syringe holder and the plunger by the ejection spring. When the syringe enters a safe position, the controller moves by the injection spring between the activating element and the syringe holder to prevent the syringe from sliding toward the injection side.
