  • Patent number: 11898761
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for controlling rate of heat delivery in a hydronic system, which includes receiving, by a control unit, at least a first temperature, a second temperature from two spatially separated points in the hydronic system and a flow rate. The two spatially separated points correspond to inlet of heat transfer device and outlet of heat transfer device. The method also includes calculating at predefined interval, by the control unit, an actual rate of heat delivery to the heat transfer device based on flow rate and temperature difference between the two spatially separated points. The control unit determines heat delivery rate difference between actual rate of heat delivery and target rate of heat delivery. The control unit adapts flow rate of fluid into inlet of heat transfer device based on heat delivery rate difference to maintain target rate of heat delivery in heat transfer device.

  • Patent number: 11897818
Abstract: Artificial intelligence and machine learning models are used to make concrete-related predictions. Many permutations of concrete mixtures are generated. Machine learning algorithms are used to evaluate and recommend a generated concrete mixture based on a set of specifications. The generated concrete mixture can be sent to a plant for production. The actual concrete mixture that was used to manufacture the concrete product can be received from the manufacturer. An amount of emission reductions and/or cost savings can be determined from the actual as-batched concrete mixture and an associated reference concrete mixture. The real-world data are used to train the machine learning models.

  • Patent number: 11856720
Abstract: Electronic devices and accessory devices designed for communication with electronic devices are disclosed. An accessory device suitable for use with an electronic device can receive the electronic device. Subject to authentication, the electronic device can read information stored on the accessory device through respective wireless communication circuitry of the electronic device and the accessory device. For example, the accessory device can store information related to the material makeup of the accessory device, dimensional information of the accessory device, and other integrated features. This information can be read and received by the electronic device. As a result, the electronic device can adjust a control system (that regulates thermal energy generation) by increasing a set point temperature that allows one or more processors to operate in a manner consistent with additional thermal energy generation.

  • Patent number: 11851896
Abstract: A method for thermal management of a power trowel executable by an on-board logic controller allows operation of the trowel in normal mode in which rotor speed is determined by manual control and in which a sensed temperature of the trowel lies below a high temperature setpoint. In response to the sensed temperature exceeding the high temperature setpoint, the controller switches operation of the power trowel from normal mode to thermal management mode in which a maximum rotor speed achievable by manual control is reduced by the controller in incremental steps to allow the trowel to cool. In response to the sensed temperature reaching a low temperature setpoint, the controller increases rotor speed in incremental steps, and returns operation to normal mode when a desired rotor speed is maintained for sufficient time during which the sensed temperature remains below the low temperature setpoint.

  • Patent number: 11841689
Abstract: A policy creation unit creates a plurality of policies each including a predetermined number of rules in which a condition for determining a state of an object is combined with an action in the state. An action determination unit determines, for each of the plurality of created policies, an action to be performed while a state of the object is changed from a first state to a second state in accordance with the policy. A policy evaluation unit determines, in accordance with a difference between a state between the first state and the second state and a desired state, the quality of the determined action and determines, for each of the plurality of policies, the quality of the policy based on the determined quality of the action. • Patent number: 11832413
Abstract: Tools and techniques are described to modify a defined space state depending on number of users in the space and/or preferences of users in the space. In some embodiments, users entering or leaving a space are noticed by network systems. A controller then modifies resources in the space to account for the greater or lesser load. In other cases, the network system notices that a specific user has entered a building. This user may have preferences stored in the system which the building control system then responds to by changing state of a device that controls physical state within the space.
