  • Patent number: 7267137
Abstract: A deadweight pressure standard provides improved measurement accuracy and repeatability. The standard includes a flow regulator having a first valve controlled by a first pair of non-hysteresis sylphons, and a supply regulator having a second valve controlled by a second pair of non-hysteresis sylphons. The first and second valves achieve an equilibrium state between the supply regulator and the flow regulator. The second valve regulates pressure generated by an applied pressure supply. A mass-to-pressure transducer transforms an applied gravitational force into a reference pressure regulated by the first valve. The center of pressure force on the first pair of non-hysteresis sylphons, and the center of pressure force on the first valve, are exerted along a first reference axis. The center of pressure force on the second pair of non-hysteresis sylphons, and the center of pressure force on the second valve, are exerted along a second reference axis.

  • Patent number: 7255122
Abstract: A valve for use in a pneumatic fluid system, such as an air brake system, is disclosed. The valve provides for fast release of pneumatic fluid from the delivery cavity through the exhaust port upon cessation of flow from the pneumatic fluid reservoir through the supply cavity. The valve includes a flow diverter that restricts fluid flow from the delivery cavity to the supply cavity when pneumatic fluid pressure in the supply cavity is less than that in the delivery cavity with minimal restriction of flow from the supply cavity to the delivery cavity when pressure in the supply cavity is greater than in the delivery cavity.

  • Patent number: 7249610
Abstract: For adjustment of a desired burner gas-air ratio over the broadest possible load range without additional pressure tapping of the burner, combustion chamber, or air lines, a ratio controller is provided that permits adjustment of the gas flow as a function of counterpressure. For adjustment, the ratio controller has at least one position-variable measurement site, or at least two measurement sites, connected directly or indirectly via a pilot valve, to an actuating diaphragm via a valve block or throttle valve block. Depending on whether the control pressure is picked up more from one or more from the other measurement site, the gas flow and therefore the gas-air ratio can be adjusted to be larger or smaller.

  • Patent number: 7243682
Abstract: A one-way valve with an annular nozzle. The valve body is a truncated cone with an interior fluid manifold. The truncated cone section includes a lower retaining groove and a fluid groove. A fluid conduit connects the interior fluid manifold to the fluid groove. An elastic cylinder having an internal diameter which is smaller than the truncated cone is slipped over the truncated cone. The lower portion of the elastic cylinder slips into the retaining groove. The upper portion rests over the fluid groove. When fluid pressure within the interior fluid manifold exceeds the pressure outside the valve, fluid flows through the conduit and into the fluid groove. This pressure urges the upper portion of the elastic cylinder away from the truncated cone Fluid then flows out through an annular nozzle formed between the upper portion of the elastic cylinder and the upper portion of the truncated cone.

  • Patent number: 7234480
Abstract: A telescopic snap valve assembly and method of assembling a snap valve with a liquid holding bag in a box fitting. The valve assembly includes a valve member having a lower protruding telescopic end with a raised exterior lower edge. The telescopic end of the valve member is inserted into the center opening of the fitting so that the raised exterior lower edge snaps outward and protrudes from the bottom of the fitting locking the valve member to the fitting. Tight fitting between the telescopic end of the valve and the fitting, with or without a seal member such as O-ring, and the like further seal the valve member to the fitting so that no liquid becomes trapped and/or leaks from the assembly. The assembly can use a ball check valve, and can dispense all types of liquids and fluids such as but not limited to juice with pulp without clogging the valve.
