A server submits a request received by the first database instead to the second database by 1) establishing a service to the second database, the service having write privileges, 2) establishing a service user account that includes the write privilege, and 3) editing the request to include a link to the second database.

Abstract: Techniques are presented herein for improved automatic suggestions based on group relevance. The techniques include determining groups of account based on the interactions of those accounts with content items, e.g., on a federated system, and ranking tokens extracted from those content items based at least in part on one or more factors. When a partial input is received from a particular account, tokens are ranked based on groups associated with the account and are presented in the user interface.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for providing app store search results. An example method includes responsive to a first search query directed to an app store: revising the first search query to produce a second search query different from the first search query; obtaining, from an Internet search engine, second search results responsive to the second search query; analyzing the second search results to identify apps available on the app store that are relevant to the second search query; obtaining, from the app store, first search results responsive to the first search query that identify apps available in the app store; and modifying the first search results based on analyzing the second search results.

Abstract: A method for communicating data includes interfacing content transformation agents customized for different source data repositories with the different source data repositories. The method also includes the content transformation agents constructing first first-stage data feed in a neutral format in accordance with the customization by dynamically selecting and transforming, within the source data repositories, selected source data in the first-stage data feed in the neutral format. The method also includes the content transformation agents sending the first first-stage data feeds to an aggregation agent. The aggregation agent generates for a user and based on specified criteria, a second-stage data feed as a composite of selected source data from the first-stage data feeds.

Abstract: The embodiments describe computer implemented systems and methods for stakeholder analysis and classification, which may be used within knowledge ecosystems. The embodiments may include the selection and implementation of one or more stakeholder analysis models, where one or more variables describing one or more relevant stakeholder aspects may be used to assess and classify one or more stakeholders. The analysis may be used to determine the relative impact and influence of the one or more stakeholders on a project and the impact that one or more projects may have on one or more stakeholders. This analysis may consequently improve stakeholder relationships through the creation of suitable stakeholder policies.

Abstract: Methods and systems for generating a database index and searching the database index are described herein. In one aspect this may include receiving an item of database data, wherein the item of database data comprises a sequence of data elements. Groups of data elements may be identified within the received item of database data. If any one or more of the identified groups of data elements have not been previously identified within the item of database data and/or previous items database data then the one or more identified group may be stored as index entries in a database index. Information describing the sequence of the groups of neighbouring data elements may be recorded within the database index as they are located within the item of database data. The database index may be searched based on a received search term comprising a sequence of data elements.

Abstract: Influencers (individuals or groups) over a selected audience (observers or recipients of information, objects and/or events) on a given topic are measured based on influence features, which include a sentiment flipping influence feature indicative of ability of an audience member to influence other audience members to change their sentiment on the selected topic. Other influence features include the ability to influence others: to change followership; to express interest in a topic associated with a hashtag pioneered by the influencer, based on the effectiveness and phrasing of language used. The output of the influence engine can be a score representing the relative influence of audience members over the audience on the topic of interest. Influencers may be ranked according to their total influence score over the audience on the topic.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method including: receiving resource requests from clients and converting the resource requests into search requests in sequence; searching a resource list of sensor nodes of cloud according to search conditions of the search request and obtaining a resource ID of the sensor node that meets the search conditions; searching a data list of the sensor node and reading a working frequency of the sensor node in the resource list; comparing the working frequency with a desired frequency in the search conditions to determine if buffered data in the data list can meet requirements; feeding back the buffered data to the clients if the buffered data meets the requirements; and controlling the sensor nodes to collect data according to the search conditions and priorities of the sensor nodes and sending the collected data to the clients if the buffered data cannot meet the requirements.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method for adding partitions to a massively parallel processing (MPP) cluster includes determining whether a first number of available nodes of a first leaf sub-cluster (LSC) of a meta sub-cluster (MSC) of the MPP cluster is greater than or equal to a second number of partitions of a table and assigning a first node of the first LSC to a first partition when the first number of available nodes is greater than or equal to the second number of partitions. The method also includes searching for a second LSC in the MSC when the first number of available nodes is less than the second number of partitions.

Abstract: A database management system may utilize a log-structured storage system instead of a conventional storage system. The log-structured storage system may store a baseline of an object and a series of log entries describing changes to the object. At various positions in the log, a combined record may be written to contain a description of a change to the object and a copy of the corresponding version of the object. Combined records may be used to employ alternative strategies for constructing or transmitting a version of an object. Embodiments may employ these alternative strategies for replication and data caches.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, system and computer program product for test data generation using unique common factor sequencing. In an embodiment of the invention, a method for test data generation using unique common factor sequencing is provided. The method includes loading a table for population with test data in a test data generation tool executing in a memory of a computer. A column set of multiple columns in the table associated with a key to the table is selected for processing and different cardinality sequence values are assigned to the columns in the set such that the cardinality sequence values do not share a common factor except for unity as in the case of prime numbers.

Abstract: An online booking system allows users to search and book listings of goods or services. When a user searches for listings, the listings are ranked and scored based on a number of factors including the location and the price of the listing, the number and quality of reviews and the number of successful prior bookings. In some situations, the listing scores overly skew the top ranking results to a particular region. The listing scores may be modified to address this skewing of results. When diversity in search results is desired, the listing scores are modified such that the top ranking results that are located in a diverse set of regions. When granular relevance of search results is desired, the listing scores are modified such that the top ranking results are located in regions that are more relevant to the search than the region to which the results are skewed.
