  • Patent number: 11237210
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses to assign faults to nets in an integrated circuit (IC) are described. Each net comprises a drive pin, a set of load pins, and a fan-out structure that electrically couples the drive pin to the set of load pins. During operation, a fan-out structure of a net can be partitioned into a set of non-overlapping subnets and a set of branch nodes, wherein each branch node electrically couples three or more non-overlapping subnets. Next, each branch node can be represented by using a subnet primitive, wherein each subnet primitive comprises three or more pins that are electrically coupled to non-overlapping subnets that are electrically coupled by the branch node. A fault can then be assigned to a pin of a subnet primitive that is electrically coupled to a non-overlapping subnet, thereby modeling the fault in the non-overlapping subnet.

  • Patent number: 11223191
Abstract: A power distribution and communication system includes nodes connected by power lines and communication links. The system receives power from one or more power sources. Each node contains at least one power port, data port and load port. Associated with each power port and load port is a port monitor for measuring current flowing into or out of the port and the voltage difference between the port outlet and ground, which measurements are passed to a processing element. The processing element and monitor analyze measured values to detect fault conditions. Upon fault condition detection, the port is disabled by opening a switch, disconnecting the port from the system voltage. The processing element receives power directly from the power line, thus receiving power from a live power line even if the associated power port is disabled allowing the processing element to enable a disabled node following a failure.

  • Patent number: 11220897
Abstract: Cement in a wellbore is evaluated by using cement evaluation tools to obtain ultrasonic image information and flexural wave image information. Flexural wave imager waveforms are applied to a trained machine learning system that predicts the presence or lack thereof of a clinging P as a function of depth and azimuth, while the ultrasonic imager impedance maps are applied to a trained machine learning system that identifies galaxy patterns for depths and azimuths, indicating the presence of a third interface echo (TIE) close to the casing. Locations of clinging Ps are compared to locations of galaxy patterns to identify when a TIE could cause a false clinging P determination. Where a disambiguated clinging P is found, contaminated cement is identified that may also locate the top of the cement in the annulus.

  • Patent number: 11220903
Abstract: A method of determining maximum stress in a well drilled in a reservoir, primarily a hydrocarbon reservoir, where there is at least one zone. Collapse regions are produced while drilling a well because the material of the wall of the well exceeds its maximum allowable stress, the material fractures and falls off, leaving a cavity. The caliper of the damaged zone is measured by devices that extend radially until coming into contact with the physical wall of the well. The disclosed method determines the maximum allowable stress based on the caliper measurements and other variables which are determinable.

  • Patent number: 11215603
Abstract: Systems, devices, and techniques for determining downhole fluid contamination are disclosed. In one or more embodiments, phase-related properties are measured for a reservoir fluid having a determined composition. An equation-of-state (EOS) isselected and/or tuned based, at least in part, on the measured phase-related properties and the tuned EOS is applied to estimate fluid property values for a reference fluid over specified ranges of at least two thermodynamic properties. Contaminant reference data are generated that correlate the estimated fluid property values for the reference fluid with respective contaminant levels. Within a wellbore, a fluid sample is analyzed to determining a fluid property values. A contaminant level is identified that corresponds within the contaminant reference data to the determined fluid property value of the fluid sample.
