Abstract: A method and system for synchronizing the start of group ride rentals of electric transport devices is described. In one embodiment, a method for initiating a group ride for a plurality of users of electric transport devices includes receiving a request from a first user of an electric transport device to initiate a group ride from a first location to a second location. The method also includes adding one or more additional users to the group ride. Each user is associated with a separate billing account with a service provider for the electric transport devices. The method further includes delaying a start of billing for each user included in the group ride by the service provider until each user has located an electric transport device.

Abstract: An information processing device includes a reception unit that receives moving process information indicating a moving process including a transportation and a commercial facility to be used by a user, and a generation unit that generates authentication information that is commonly usable at the transportation and the commercial facility to be used by the user in accordance with the moving process and is used for authenticating the user.

Abstract: A method and apparatus provides a customs review system for building a customs approval database and system suitable for reviewing and verifying values and/or commodities of product parcels passing through customs. The customs review system can receive and store a stock keeping unit (SKU) for a product parcel in the customs approval database. The customs review system can also receive a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) related to the SKU and automatically associate the SKU with the URL in the customs approval database. In response to associating the SKU and the URL, the customs review system can make the product parcel as pre-approved or rejected for shipment to customs. The customs review system can search the customs approval database for the SKU of the product parcel and validate or invalid the product parcel being submitted for shipment and importation based on the search.

Abstract: Systems and methods which provide postage indicia using mobile communication handsets are shown. According to embodiments, users are enabled to introduce mail pieces into a mail delivery stream which are accepted as having acceptable postage indicia having value associated therewith without the use of traditional metering systems or processor-based postage generation and printing systems. Instead, a mobile communication handset is used to obtain tokens to be used as postage indicia. The tokens may be transmitted to or otherwise printed by appropriate, available printing equipment, such as facsimile machines, network printers, network photo copiers, etc., in response to a request by a mobile communication handset for postage indicia. The foregoing tokens may be printed upon various stock for inclusion with or as a mail piece. The mail piece bearing the token may be placed into the mail stream for processing and delivery using the token as activated as postage indicia.

Abstract: When a user who utilizes a gasoline-powered vehicle shifts to EV car sharing, and the user wishes to have applied a discount for shifting to EV car sharing, a fee setting device setting a car sharing fee requests the user to input a cost paid in the past to purchase gasoline. The fee setting device registers the cost paid to purchase gasoline, as input, and if the cost paid to purchase gasoline is a predetermined amount or more, the fee setting device selects a first discount and sets a basic fee. If the cost paid to purchase gasoline is less than the predetermined amount, the fee setting device selects a second discount and sets a basic fee.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a travel plan recommendation method, an apparatus, a device and a computer readable storage medium. In the method according to the embodiments of the present disclosure, the travel plan classification model is obtained by training with the comprehensive consideration of the diversity of users, the diversity of the travel environment in time and space and dynamics of the user's travel preference, and the travel feature vector is generated according to the user persona information and the travel mode distribution information of the user, the current travel environment feature information and the feature information of the starting point and the destination point of the current travel, the travel feature vector is inputted into the travel plan classification model to calculate the scores of the candidate travel plans, and the travel plan recommended to the user according to the scores of the candidate travel plans.

Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for replacing a listing of a canceled booking for a guest user. In an embodiment, an accommodation management system receives an indication that a booking by the guest user has been canceled. The system retrieves, from an attribute database, attributes of the canceled listing and maps each attribute to a set of similar attributes in an equivalence table. The system retrieves, from a listing database, a set of comparable listings, each of which includes one or more of the mapped similar attributes and available during the same time period as the canceled booking. The system books one of the comparable listings for the guest user during the time period by populating a booking data structure with a connection between the comparable listing and the guest user.

Abstract: A credibility evaluation device for evaluating a credibility of a user who uses a service provided by a communicable structure includes a processor including hardware. The processor is configured to: acquire structure information on the structure during and after use of the service by the user and third-party evaluation information including evaluation about the structure made by a third party other than the user after use of the service by the user; and calculate the credibility of the user, based on at least one of the structure information and the third-party evaluation information.

Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for replacing an accommodation of a canceled booking for a guest user. In an embodiment, an accommodation management system receives, from a homestay application, an indication that a booking for the accommodation in a region by the guest user over a time period has been canceled. The system retrieves a homestay listing associated with the booking and retrieves attributes of the homestay listing. The system maps each attribute to a set of similar attributes in an equivalence table. The system retrieves a set of available hotel listings in the region for the same time period and determines attributes of each available hotel listing. The system determines a set of comparable hotel listings that each include similar attributes to the homestay listing and sends a command to book a comparable hotel listing the guest user during the time period.

Abstract: Provided are various mechanisms and processes for optimizing real-time, on-demand delivery service for perishable goods. In one aspect, a method is provided for aggregating on-demand deliveries using a depot dispatch protocol. The method comprises dispatching runners to pick up on-demand orders for drop off at a depot where the orders are aggregated and batched based on optimized delivery routes and destination proximities. Batches of orders are then assigned to couriers who may arrive at the depot to receive the batched orders without having to navigate through areas of high congestion. Such delivery routing system may be implemented alongside a delivery tracking system for generating estimated time of arrival predictive updates for real-time delivery of perishable goods.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, that optimize interfaces to present information on mobile device displays. In one aspect, a method includes generating and providing, to a device, data that causes the device to present a status of one or more segments between a first location and a second location within a calendar interface. The calendar interface includes a calendar and, for each date having at least one existing segment, a respective non-textual segment indicator for each existing segment for the date. Each segment indicator is presented using visual feature(s) that represent the status of the segment represented by the segment indicator. A determination is made that the status of a given segment has changed to a second status. The visual feature(s) of the segment indicator for the given segment are visually updated within the calendar interface to represent the second status.

Abstract: System and method for verification and/or reconciliation of electronic transactions, such as for example, toll transactions or other purchase transactions. A vehicle utilizes an onboard communication device, such as a mobile phone, to locate virtual tolling points using GPS location, and then to communicate to an electronic tolling service provider that the vehicle has passed through the virtual tolling point. In addition, roadside equipment may be used to capture photo/video of the vehicle as it passes the virtual tolling point. The GPS-based toll transaction data is used in conjunction with the photo-based toll transaction data to verify a proper toll transaction, and optionally to reconcile between missing and/or inconsistent GPS-based and photo-based toll transaction data.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for providing transportation or delivery services using a fleet of mixed vehicles. A computer-implemented method of providing services using a fleet of mixed vehicles includes receiving at a server a request for a service, determining parameters for the service, selecting by the server a vehicle from a fleet of mixed vehicles to perform at least a portion of the service based on the determined parameters, and transmitting a message to the selected vehicle to perform the at least a portion of the service. The fleet of mixed vehicles includes at least two of: a semi-autonomous vehicle, a fully-autonomous vehicle, a vehicle remotely operated by a human, or a human driven vehicle.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for managing exceptions to orders collected by autonomous vehicles. The exemplary systems may be configured to receive an indication of an exception that at least one item for an order cannot be collected with a first autonomous vehicle carrying a container associated with the order and determine a reconfigured path for the first vehicle responsive to receiving the indication of the exception. The reconfigured path may include a stop at a storage location configured to store containers associated with the exception. The systems may be configured to receive an indication that the container was removed from the first vehicle and deposited at the storage location, transmit an instruction to a second autonomous vehicle to collect the at least one item for the order, and receive an indication that the at least one item has been matched with the container deposited at the storage location.

Abstract: Embodiments provide systems, methods and computer program products for artificial intelligence-based detection of delays in a shipping network that include training a machine learning model using a training set of in-flight snapshots to infer, based on a set of predictive features, whether a shipment having an estimated delivery dates will meet the estimated delivery date. The machine learning model represents a set of shipment statuses, a set of timings relative estimated delivery dates, and a set of shipment outcomes of the plurality of historical shipments.

Location information including an origin and a destination may obtained. A set of itineraries may be generated based on the rider context information. Each itinerary may include at least one mode of transportation to allow the rider to travel from the origin to the destination. Electric vehicles available for sharing, renting or otherwise available for temporary use may be located at such collection and distribution machines or other designated areas. Users may request temporary use of such electric vehicles via a user interface of the collection and distribution machine, the user's mobile device or that of the electric vehicle itself. During temporary use, the user may exchange depleted portable electrical energy storage devices of the vehicle being used for charged portable electrical energy storage devices at the collection and distribution machines and may be offered the opportunity to terminate the temporary use session or continue the temporary use session in conjunction with the portable electrical energy storage device exchange.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for receiving a request for services in a given location from a client device operated by a user and generating a set of features based on information included in the request for services in the given location. The systems and methods further provide for analyzing the set of features using a machine learning model to predict whether only services that can be instantly booked should be provided in response to the request for services in the given location, analyzing a prediction output by the machine learning model to determine that only services that can be instantly booked should be provided in response to the request for services in the given location, and generating a list with only services that can be instantly booked.
