Abstract: A computer program product for providing a graphical user interface for displaying of and enabling cooperative use of resources on a display of a computing device includes computer readable code means, the computer readable code means when executed by a processor device, being configured to provide an environment, the environment being configured to represent the resources on the display of the computing device, provide a first viewport to at least a portion of the environment on the display of the computing device, enable a resource to be added to the environment and be viewed within the first viewport and enable the resource to be acted upon within the first viewport.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve receiving references to application data of applications hosted by the servers. The application data includes information defining an interface of the application (e.g., a set of interface elements), and data types associated with the application. As a part of the process for generating a composite graphical user interface (GUI), the composite interface system receives references to application data of one or more applications at various memory locations (e.g., at both local and third-party servers). In this way, the composite interface system accesses the application data of any referenced application in order to retrieve application data to configure a composite GUI which includes interface elements of each of the referenced application.

Abstract: An online system provides a user-generated media platform that enables the gamification of content generated on the site. The online system maintains a page of content including content items and a link to a third party system that is external to the online system. When the user selects the link, the user is directed to the third party system with which the user interacts to complete tasks. When the third party system determines one or more conditions are satisfied based on the user interactions with content from the third party system, the third party system updates the page of content maintained by the online system. For example, the third party system provides additional content items to the online system for display via the page of content or unlocks content items stored by the online system for presentation by the page of content.

Abstract: A technique capable of reducing wiring is provided. The mounting apparatus includes a display input device capable of displaying an image of multiple selection items for controlling the operation of the mounting apparatus and for inputting commands for selecting any selection item from the multiple displayed selection items, a control device, and a single cable connecting the display input device and the control device. When a command for selecting the selection item is inputted, the display input device transmits a command signal corresponding to the inputted command to the control device via the cable. In addition to transmitting a video signal for displaying the multiple selection items to the display input device via the cable, the control device updates the video signal based on the command signal received from the display input device and transmits the updated video signal to the display input device.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for establishing the position of an object in relation to a camera in order to enable gaze tracking with a user watching the object, where the user is in view of the camera. Abstract: The techniques disclosed herein improve existing computing systems by providing consistent interaction models during communication sessions. A system configured according to the disclosure presented herein can improve user engagement during communication sessions and conserve computing resources by enabling users to define arrangements of display areas in a user interface (UI) for presenting content during a communication session and to utilize the same pre-defined arrangement during multiple communication sessions. The arrangement can be presented to all or some of the participants in a communication session. By providing a consistent arrangement of display areas that render content to participants in communication sessions, the participants can be more engaged and productive, thereby improving human-computer interaction and conserving computing resources.

The system is configurable to create a feed item for display to the first user and to at least one second user based on the received input. Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to managing user interfaces associated with physical activities. The user interface displays a scrollable list of affordances associated with physical activities. The affordances may contain physical activity and heart rate information. A user can launch a physical activity tracking function or an interface to change a workout metric using an affordance. Users can also control the music that is played in response to selecting a workout. Further, the interface can be used to compose a reply message to a received message that contains workout information. The interfaces can show a graph that includes heart data when the user's heart rate meets a heart rate alert criteria.

A request for information is received regarding one or more applications installed on user equipment in a category of applications.
