Abstract: An electronic device and method are disclosed. The electronic device includes a display, a processor and memory. The processor may implement the method, including analyzing, by a processor, a first video to identify any characters included in the first video, displaying one or more icons representing one or more characters identified in the first video via a display, receiving, by input circuitry, a first user input selecting a first icon representing a first character from among the one or more icons, based on the first user input, selecting image frames of the first video that include the first character from among image frames included in the first video, and generating, by the processor, a second video including the selected image frames. A second embodiment includes automatically selecting images from a gallery including one or more characters for generation of a video.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and media for rewinding media content based on detected audio events are provided. In some embodiments, a method for providing media guidance is provided, the method comprising: causing media content to be presented; receiving, using an audio input device, audio data that includes ambient sounds in an environment in which the media content is being presented; receiving a user command to rewind the media content; detecting that a portion of the audio data corresponds to an audio event that occurred during the presentation of the media content in response to receiving the user command to rewind the media content; determining a playback position in the media content based on the audio event; and causing the media content to be presented from the determined playback position.

Abstract: A method, system and computer program product are provided. An analysis module receives a plurality of presentation source materials, including text documents, books, video files, audio files, and presentations. A transcript is generated from audio and video received from a presenter device during a live teaching session. Keywords are extracted from the plurality of presentation source materials. An integrated keyword list is created by integrating the extracted keywords with the generated transcript. Participants in an online meeting are grouped into live group breakout sessions, each of which is independent. Data from each participant is continuously recorded in the breakout session. The correlation between the integrated keyword list and the recorded participant output is periodically analyzed to output a score trendline to determine the level of comprehension by the participants of the presentation materials.

The methods and systems perform operations comprising: obtaining, by a first party, a patent file wrapper from a publicly accessible database of patent records, the patent file wrapper including a plurality of patent documents; receiving, from the first party, user input that tags a patent document of the plurality of patent documents in the patent file wrapper, wherein the patent document that is tagged is associated with a patent activity that occurred within a threshold period of time; and transmitting, to a second party by the first party, a communication that includes the tagged patent document.

Abstract: A method for integrated database user privilege management can be implemented. The method presents a computer interface for managing access privileges of one or more users to a database comprising independent data and dependent data, and retrieves one or more role objects, record filter objects, and attribute filter objects assigned to a user. A role object defines access privileges to selected values of the independent data and dependent data. A record filter object can modify the access privileges defined in the one or more role objects. An attribute filter object defines access privileges to selected attributes of the independent data. The method can calculate, and present on the computer interface, a list of attributes of the independent data and a list of dependent data that the user has access privileges based on the one or more role objects, record filter objects, and attribute filter objects assigned to the user.

In one embodiment, a method for displaying multimedia content comprises acquiring multimedia content including video data which is reproduced as a video, and slide data including a key scene which is matched with event time point in a reproduction time period of the video data and is displayed in a slideshow manner, acquiring a text data corresponding to the multimedia content, displaying the multimedia content in a first area according to a video mode for reproducing the video data as the video or a slideshow mode for displaying the key scene in the slideshow manner, displaying at least a portion of the text data in a second area; and adjusting the displayed text data according to the displayed multimedia content.

Abstract: A computer implemented method of editing attributes of data records presented through GUI elements by a webpage. The method including the steps of: using one or more processors of a client terminal hosting a web browser for executing a code for parsing a webpage rendered by the web browser to extract identifier information of one or more GUI elements presented in the webpage, the GUI elements presenting a value of one or more attributes of a data record extracted from a database according to the identifier information. The GUI elements are presented in a non-editable area, identifying a user selection indicative of the GUI elements, rendering an editing GUI element for editing the value, extracting a user input received from a user using the editing GUI element and forwarding to a server hosting the webpage instructions to update the value in the data record according to the user input.

Abstract: In one general aspect, a method can include displaying, on a display device included in a computing device, content in an application executing on the computing device, and determining that the computing device is proximate to a videoconferencing system. The method can further include displaying, in a user interface on the display device, at least one identifier associated with a videoconference, receiving a selection of the at least one identifier, and initiating the videoconference on the videoconferencing system in response to receiving the selection of the at least one identifier. The videoconference on the videoconferencing system can be initiated such that the content is provided for display on a display device included in the videoconferencing system.

Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a memory, and a processor coupled to the memory and configured to store a template in the memory in response to the template being created; receive an input of first input information in a case where the created template is used in performing a request task; and receive an input of second input information in a case where the created template is used in performing a report task. Abstract: A system and method for automatically reconfiguring a user interface based on a product lifecycle that changes a visual appearance of a product image in the user interface to reflect its age or ownership duration is described. In one embodiment, a method includes determining one or more products owned by a user and an ownership period associated with an age or ownership duration of each product. The ownership period is compared to a product lifecycle for the product and, based on the comparison, one or more temporal effects are overlaid onto a base product image for the product. The one or more temporal effects change a visual appearance of the base product image in a user interface on a user device in communication with the unified product application to reflect the age or ownership duration of the product.

Abstract: The system and method herein provide immersive training using virtual reality technologies used to provide any desired type of immersive training. The training may focus on sexual harassment issues. Some training may focus on the “feeling” of the situation, and it has been found that virtual reality environments described herein provide a particularly effective way of training on the feeling of the situation and related issues in the sexual harassment context.

Abstract: A rating interface system and method are provided that allow human users to continuously rate the impact they or other human users and/or their avatars are having on themselves or others during interpersonal interactions, such as conversations or group discussions. The system and method provide time stamping of users' ratings data and audio and video data of an interaction, and correlate the ratings data with the audio and video data at selected time intervals for subsequent analysis.

Abstract: A method for controlling a robot device using a portable terminal including a touchscreen is provided. The method includes displaying an enable button in a first area of the touchscreen, displaying an emergency stop button in a second area of the touchscreen, displaying a plurality of robot control buttons in a third area of the touchscreen, in response to simultaneously receiving from a user an input on the first area and an input on the third area, transmitting a robot control signal to a control device configured to control the robot device, and in response to receiving an input from the user on the second area, transmitting an emergency signal to the control device.

Abstract: A smartwatch includes a destination handling unit configured to issue a destination call in an elevator system of an environment. The smartwatch has an input for entering destination data as well as an output for indicating an allocated elevator of the elevator system. The smartwatch includes a navigation system including a memory with map data of the environment. The navigation system includes a position detector for detecting the location of the smartwatch within the environment, and a navigation output connected with the output. The navigation system is coupled with the destination handling unit to issue a destination call based on data of the position detector and/or for providing navigation guide data based on an issued destination call.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer readable media for augmented reality beauty product tutorials are disclosed. Methods disclose displaying on a first portion of a screen a beauty product tutorial including pre-recorded images of a presenter applying a beauty product to a body part of the presenter and determining first effects indicating changes to make to live images of a user to simulate applying the beauty product to the body part of the user, where the first effects are determined based on second effects indicating changes to the pre-recorded images from applying the beauty product to the body part of the presenter. Methods further disclose processing the live images of the user to add the first effects and indications of motion of the beauty product and displaying the processed live images of the user on a second portion of the screen.

Abstract: A dual-network dual-system mobile device is provided in the disclosure. The mobile device includes a mobile network module, a transfer station module, two computer modules, a switch module, a human-machine interface (HMI), and a casing. The HMI is configured to interact with one computer module and to receive a real-time notification from another computer module. Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and a layout generation system for generating dynamic User Interface (UI) layout for an electronic device. The method includes identifying one or more operations related to at least one UI element based on a current state of a display screen of the electronic device, calculating a saliency score and an aesthetic score for each of a plurality of grids determined on the display screen, based on the calculated saliency score and the calculated aesthetic score, identifying a plurality of candidate regions, identifying an optimal region from the plurality of candidate regions based on a user interaction score and generating the dynamic UI layout by performing the one or more operations related to the at least one UI element in the optimal region.

Abstract: To facilitate efficient entity resolution, systems and methods include a first dataset is received from a first database associated with a first entity and a second dataset is received from a second database associated with a second entity. A geo-grid is mapped to a geographical area covering the first entity data records and the second entity data records. A grid matching area in the geo-grid is generated for each first entity data record based on latitude data and longitude data of each first entity data record. Candidate matching records are determined from the second entity data records based on respective grid matching areas. Actual matching records are determined from the candidate matching records based on a threshold for a trigram similarity between each candidate matching record and the respective first entity data record. The actual matching records are associated with the respective first entity data record in the first database.

Abstract: A system and method for visualizing multiple datasets in a virtual 3-dimensional interactive environment. Multiple datasets may be related and virtually cast as 3-dimensional type structures. User interfaces, such as game controllers or headsets, may be used to present the dataset from differing perspectives including the appearance of moving through the data. Certain embodiments provide for mirror image views that allow for presentation of higher order datasets. Other embodiments provide for animation or motion indicia to show how the data is changing and the results on the display. The datasets may represent physical areas or virtual areas as well as demographic, sensors and financial information.
