Abstract: A method includes displaying and capturing image data containing an object and accessing a plurality of records related to objects, selecting a record related to the captured object, obtaining an identifier of a vendor of the object of the selected data record, combining the selected data record and the vendor identifier to form a search record, displaying, based on the search record, an augmented reality interface to receive a first interactive action for saving the search record, receiving the first interactive action, saving, in response to receiving the first interactive action, the search record into a searchable data structure, receiving a second interactive action, retrieving, in response to receiving the second interactive action, the search record from the searchable data structure, updating the vendor identifier based on the retrieved search record, and displaying information related to the search record.

Abstract: Techniques and solutions are described for implementing virtual table schemas. A virtual table schema includes a logical pointer that is used to target a table that includes data and is defined according to the virtual table schema. Values assigned to the logical pointer can be used to target tables at different locations, such as in a federated database system or in a cache of a database management system of a central computing system. When data associated with the virtual table is requested, or prior to receiving the request, the data can be stored in a table in the cache. The logical pointer can be updated to reference the cache. If the cache is full, the table can be removed from the cache, and the logical pointer can be updated to reference a table at the federated database system.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method is for dynamic data minimization of a data set for transfer of the minimized data set from a central instance to outside of the central instance, the data set including a second set of individual attributes. The method includes provisioning a whitelist including a first set of attributes being a subset of a second set of attributes. The minimized data set includes the first set of attributes. The method further includes determining an attribute list including a third set of attributes, the third set of attributes including at least the complement of the first set of attributes in relation to the second set of attributes. The method also includes provisioning the attribute list by the central instance for use outside of the central instance.

Abstract: A computerized-method for reducing wait-time in a multichannel-contact-center is provided herein. For each query that is not resolved by a hot, operating a Channel-Agnostic-Queuing (CAQ) module. The CAQ-module includes: a. selecting a digital-channel-type in a predetermined order; b. operating an aggregator module on the selected digital-channel-type to: (i) identify similar pending queries in a queue-database related to the digital-channel-type: and (ii) aggregate the received query and the identified similar pending queries into a group-of-queries; c. operating a tracker-module on the group-of-queries to identify a query-resolution and to send a notification as to the query-resolution to the customer and to related customers of the identified similar pending queries; and d. when a total-parking-period of the plurality of digital-channel-types is lower than an expected wait-time of the received query and the received query hasn't been resolved, repeating operations a.-c.

Abstract: Disclosed embodiments are methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable media for annotating distributed data without redundant data copying. In one embodiment, a method is disclosed comprising reading a raw dataset, the raw dataset comprising a first set of columns and a first set of rows; generating an annotation dataset, the annotation dataset comprising a second set of columns and a second set of rows; assigning row identifiers to each row in the second set of rows, the row identifiers aligning the second set of rows with the first set of rows based on the underlying storage of the raw dataset and annotation dataset; and writing the annotation dataset to a distributed storage medium.

Abstract: The email suggestor system and method provide an efficient and effective way to capture a user identifier, such as an email address of a consumer in a retail environment. The email suggestor system generates one or more suggested first text portions based on input data, outputs at least one of the suggested first text portions, and receives a selection of a first text portion. The email suggestor system generates one or more suggested second text portions of a user identifier based on the input data, outputs at least one of the suggested second text portions, and receives a selection of a second text portion. The email suggestor system generates a user identifier including the selected first text portion and the selected second text portion. The email suggestor system uses received feedback response to refine and/or train one or more models with which it generates the suggested text portions.

Abstract: Processing range operation data management statements in a database is provided. The method comprises receiving statements for range operations that specify referenced pages in the database. The range operations are stored in a search structure in a table directory in the database and applied to any referenced pages in a memory buffer pool. Application of the range operations is postponed for any referenced pages not in the memory buffer pool. The database determines if reading the postponed pages into the buffer pool would exceed a specified input/output threshold. If reading the postponed pages into the buffer pool does not exceed the specified threshold, the database reads the postponed pages from disk to the buffer pool asynchronously in parallel, and the range operations are then applied to the postponed pages. Pages modified by the range operations are then written from the buffer pool back to disk.

Abstract: Automatically generating a rule set implementation is disclosed. A set of rules is accessed. For each non-const rule in the set of rules, one or more implication directed acyclic graphs (DAGs) are constructed. The non-const rule directly causes at least one external output or at least one external action. The one or more implication DAGs specify rule conditions, including one or more observable rule conditions. Implication DAGs that are constructed for the set of rules are compiled to obtain a compiled result that is configured to evaluate rule conditions associated with the set of rules and determine one or more actions when at least one of the rule conditions evaluates to true. The compiled result is output.

Abstract: Provided are a question answering method and language model training method, apparatus, device, and storage media, including: acquiring at least one candidate table matching a question to be queried, each candidate table includes a candidate answer corresponding to the question; processing the at least one candidate table to obtain at least one table text, the table text includes textual content of respective fields in the candidate table; inputting the question and each table text into a preset language model respectively to obtain a degree of matching between the question and each candidate table; and outputting a reply table according to the degree of matching of each candidate table, the reply table is a candidate table out of the at least one candidate table whose degree of matching with the question is greater than a preset value or a candidate table that corresponds to a maximum degree of matching.

Abstract: Operational machine components of an information technology (IT) or other microprocessor- or microcontroller-permeated environment generate disparate forms of machine data. Network connections are established between these components and processors of data intake and query system (DIQS). The DIQS conducts network transactions on a periodic and/or continuous basis with the machine components to receive disparate data and ingest certain of the data as entries of a data store that is searchable for DIQS query processing. The DIQS may receive queries to process against the received and ingested data via an exposed network interface. In one example embodiment, the DIQS receives a query identifying data to be processed, dynamically generates a query processing scheme based on the state of the data to be processed, such as streaming or at rest, and dynamically communicates the query processing scheme to a query executor based on the state of the data to be processed.

Abstract: A system and method enabling an upgraded digital recorder to detect, retrieve, decrypt, encrypt and securely store digital content retrieved from one or more legacy digital recorders. The legacy digital recorder is placed into a mode permitting access to stored digital content. An upgraded digital recorder then interfaces with the legacy digital recorder and mutual authentication is performed. Following successful authentication, the upgraded digital recorder disables most of the legacy digital recorder's functionality. Utilizing a digital key protecting the stored content from unauthorized access, the upgraded digital recorder retrieves and decrypts the digital content from the legacy digital recorder. The decrypted content is then analyzed and if needed converted to a format compatible with the upgraded digital recorder. The digital content is then indexed, encrypted and stored in the upgraded digital recorder.

Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for event summarization facilitated by emotions/reactions of people near an event location is disclosed. The method includes generating a query based at least in part on reaction information and at least in part on primary video metadata. Based on the query, at least one possible event summarization match for the one or more events is retrieved from a database.

Abstract: A server and a control method thereof are provided. The server includes a communicator configured to communicate with an external apparatus; and a processor configured to: receive an image from the external apparatus via the communicator, process the received image by applying a plurality of image analysis models of which an analysis type for the image is different from each other, to the received image, and generate analysis result information about the image respectively corresponding to a plurality of analysis types according to the processing of the received image. With this, more various types of image analysis information may be provided with respect to one image. At least a portion of the analysis of the image, the processing and the generation may be carried out using at least one of a machine learning, a nerve network or a deep learning algorithm as a rule based or artificial intelligence algorithm.

Abstract: An approach includes identification of a machine learning model for processing and generating an ordered set of weights with varying precisions and metadata that specifies where those values can be found in order to allow the identification of weights needed during processing. In a first embodiment, the variable precision weights are separated into different memory segments where each segment has weights of only a single precision. In a second embodiment, the variable precision weights are provided in a memory where weights of different precisions are intermingled, and those weights are identified using a sequence of pairs of data representing a number of weights with the same precision and the precision of those weights. In some embodiments, both the first and second embodiments are combined, where some segments contain weights with only a single precision and at least one segment stores weights with different precisions within a respective segment.

Abstract: According to some aspects, disclosed methods and systems may include determining, by a device and based on historical data associated with a first user, a first user profile comprising one or more content recommendation periods each associated with a time period and a content classification, and in response to detecting a user interaction, selecting a first content recommendation period of the one or more content recommendation periods. The methods and system may also include determining one or more content candidates corresponding to the content classification from a plurality of content assets based on an amount of remaining time in the time period associated with the first content recommendation period and a correlation between the historical data associated with the first user and one or more contextual features associated with the plurality of content assets, and transmitting, to a client device, an indication of the one or more content candidates.

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for traversing a graph database. The graph database may be used for search for information for a variety of applications, a web search and dictionary look-ups for voice recognitions for examples. Issues on quickly traversing a graph in the graph database with highly connected entities (nodes) may be addressed by generating a subgraph upon a graph traversal for an entity and traversing the subgraph in subsequent occurrences of looking up the entity. The methods and systems are disclosed for updating the entity of the subgraph with a newer version of data of the corresponding entity of the graph when the data in the entity of the subgraph and the data in the graph are distinct. The differences of versions of data may be identified based on an availability status of data for versions of data and timestamps of last updates to data in the entity of the graph.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for enumerating relationships in an object graph using traversal context objects that are decoupled from the implementation details of an object graph and the objects stored therein. An example method generally includes receiving a request to traverse an object graph, the object graph including a plurality of objects. A root context object is generated, and a traversal context object associated with a root node of the object graph is generated. The traversal context object is linked to the root context object and added to a traversal data structure. The graph is traversed by adding and removing traversal context objects to and from the traversal data structure until a terminating event occurs.

Abstract: A solution is proposed for controlling backups of objects in an information technology system. A corresponding method comprises determining change categories of changes of the objects being changed since a previous backup thereof; backups of the changed objects are triggered according to corresponding trigger indicators based on change categories of their changes and on relevance weights thereof.

Abstract: Technologies are described for replicating selected changes to planned working time from a first system, such as an HR system, to a second system, such as a payroll system. For example, upon receiving an indication of a change to a planned working time for one or more workers on one or more days, the first system can evaluate the change to determine whether it should be replicated to the second system. The determination can be based on whether the change is a temporary change, as well as based on information read from a data replication configuration object, a data replication period object, and/or an in-sync work schedule object. Upon determining that the change should be replicated to the second system, a data replication proxy object can be created based on the change and used to transmit data regarding the change for replication at the second system.
