Abstract: The present invention provides a method of treating mulch by applying an adhesive composition to bulk mulch and then bagging the treated mulch before the adhesive cures. The bagged mulch is later transported to a desired location and arranged into a mulch bed, and the adhesive cures by exposure to air and sunlight, thereby holding the mulch in place and preventing undesirable movement.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for brooding or growing poultry, wherein eggs of the first 3-5 layings of young animals, preferably hens younger than 29 weeks, usually starting from about 26 weeks, are collected and are hatched together, directly after hatching the hatched chicks are provided in crates with about 10-500 animals arranged in stacks in an incubator chamber, in which incubator chamber food and drinking are provided to each crate and the temperature, humidity, CO2 level and flow rate of air are controlled.
Abstract: A monument is provided for an aircraft. The monument includes, but is not limited to several system components with identical, substantially identical or similar functions that can be connected by way of a single system connection arrangement to the supply in the aircraft. Distribution of the supply media, received by the aircraft, to the individual system components takes place within the monument. The system connections can thus be identical to the system connections of a single monument.
Abstract: An assembly of a reservoir with a solid sole and an orthotic pad to provide a relatively simple, light weight portable system to allow equine hoof and leg cooling together with proper hoof support. The assembly and method is useful for preventive treatment for performance stress and lameness, including laminitis.
Abstract: An aircraft exterior door installation with a door attached to an airframe. A damper is arranged to damp motion of the door as it is opened by rotating it away from the airframe. A coupling mechanism couples the damper with the door over an opening damping range and decouples the damper from the door at the end of the opening damping range. The damper does not damp the motion of the door as it opens beyond the opening damping range. Instead of damping the door over its full range of motion, it is only damped over a limited inner range of its motion. A further advantage of decoupling the door and the damper is that the damper does not need to extend into the airflow to the same extent as the door, thus minimizing aerodynamic drag.
Abstract: A foldable poultry brood box having a folding bottom, folding endwalls, and folding sidewalls provides a sheltered environment for the maturation of a brood of young poultry. Preferably, after the brood box is deployed, a floor overlay insert is placed and retained within the brood box to overlay, bridge over, and cover substantial portions of two floor free edges.
Abstract: A container, in which a quantity of water can be accommodated, includes a base, a peripheral wall that is upright with respect to the base, a water barrier provided within the peripheral wall and extending towards the base, an insertion opening in which the stem or stems of plant products, such as flowers, can be accommodated in such a way that these have access to the quantity of water, as well as retaining member for retaining the stems. The retaining member is designed for holding the stems pressed down in the direction of the base under preloading.

Abstract: A self-irrigating planter system that waters vegetation on a regular schedule using hollow upright supports to convey the water from a pump and reservoir to multiple organic-shaped pods that are attached to the upright supports in a tiered manner, and which uses gravity to deliver water so as to provide sustained plant growth and a healthier living environment with reduced energy usage.
Abstract: Stable flight can be achieved without the need for a complicated throttle operation by a pilot even when part or all of control surfaces malfunction. A computer (15) calculates a thrust control signal for controlling engine thrust and a deflection angle control signal for controlling control surfaces based on state information regarding an airframe and an operation command signal from an operation end. An engine control unit (17) drives an engine based on the thrust control signal. An actuator (16) moves the control surfaces based on the deflection angle control signal.
Abstract: An arrangement at an aircraft of a dispenser unit for countermeasures. The arrangement including a wall of an aircraft fuselage. A dispensing nozzle is arranged on the dispenser unit through which the countermeasures are dispensed. The dispenser unit is arranged within the aircraft fuselage. An aperture for dispensing the countermeasures is arranged in the wall of the aircraft fuselage. The aperture is arranged to substantially coincide with the dispensing nozzle.
Abstract: The “Microcosm Terrestrial and Aquatic Landscape Habitat” is a Main Basin Pond 4 surrounded on three sides by artificial rock, “Miniature Mountains” 3 a, 3 b, 3 c or Natural Looking Imitation Rocks. The fourth, front side has no “Miniature Mountains” or Natural Looking Imitation Rocks to enclose the Main Basin Pond. Instead, here I adhere on a Pane of Glass 2 a to the imitation rock surface using Silicon Sealant 2 b or other sealants 2 c: A pond-aquarium hybrid! The “Miniature Mountains” are higher than the water level in the Main Basin Pond. On the top or sides of the “Miniature Mountains” is an Upper Pool 5. Water in the Main Basin Pond is circulated up to the Upper Pool using a Submersible; Electric, Aquatic, Pump 8. From the Upper Pool, the Water then flows down a Water Course to the Waterfalls and back to the Main Basin Pond to oxygenate the water.
Abstract: The invention provides a non-toxic photoluminescent adjuvant delivered to targeted crops, plants and seeds to assist spray operations in low light or dark light operations. These crops and plants include: not for human consumption crops, turf grass, ornamental flowers, seeds, shrubs and bushes. Spray operations are delivered to the foliar, crown and soil parts and seeds of a crop or plant.
Abstract: An advancement system for an in ovo injection apparatus is provided. Such an advancement system is configured to advance an egg carrier carrying a plurality of avian eggs to an injection assembly. The advancement system includes a guide assembly configured to receive the egg carrier and provide support thereto during advancement of the egg carrier. A manual advancement device slidingly engages the guide assembly such that the manual advancement device is movable along the guide assembly. The manual advancement device is capable of interacting with a trailing end of the egg carrier to advance the egg carrier to an injection position. At least one stop is positioned to interact with the manual advancement device during advancement of the egg carrier so as to prevent progression of the manual advancement device beneath the injection assembly, thereby locating the egg carrier at the injection position. An associated method is also provided.
