Abstract: A closet extender includes a pair of elongated frame members which are securable to a horizontal closet pole so that they extend downwardly therefrom in substantially parallel, spaced relation and an elongated support member which is adjustably securable to the frame members so that it extends therebetween in downwardly spaced relation to the closet pole. The frame members and the support member are preferably made of a suitable substantially rigid wire and the support member is adapted for supporting garments on clothes hangers in downwardly spaced relation to the closet pole so that two vertically spaced rows of garments can be accomodated in a closet.

Abstract: The pedestal is particularly suitable for housing cable television signal distribution outdoor equipment. It has a self-supporting base having a truncated pyramidal shape and a horizontal lower flange, which can be installed firmly and securely on the ground easily and quickly without the use of additional anchoring devices. The divergent base also provides inherent additional space for storing extra cable for future re-coring and changing equipment, and a plurality of the base units as well as a plurality of top cover units may be stacked together for maximum utilization of the shipping and storage space.

Abstract: A revolving shaft controlled movable lamp stand, which includes a stand, a driving mechanism, and a lamp socket, and is characterized in that: the lower revolving shaft and the upper revolving shaft and the driving mechanism each comprises a circular groove and a hole. Each said hole comprises an end a and an end b. A rope is provided to wind round the upper and lower revolving shafts through the holes and circular grooves of the upper and lower revolving shafts, to further let one end of the rope, which comprises a screw rod, be screwed up with the other end of the rope, which comprises a fastening matching means, so as to form a closed circulation.

Abstract: A stand used for stably placing a solar ray collecting device on a veranda or the like comprises an upper base for directly and securely holding the solar ray collecting device, a hanger fixed to the base and hanging from a fixed construction such as a wall-like supporting member, being parallel to the solar ray collecting device, and a lower fixed base for adjustably supporting the upper base.

Abstract: To prevent a supported block, particularly a ring laser block, from translating, rotating, or being stressed with changes in temperature, the block to be supported carries a plurality of, typically four, coplanar radially-outward-extending circularly cylindrical posts. The posts are grasped by compliant axially-split sleeves or mounts which engage posts. The mounts are supported by a surrounding substantially circular frame. The mounts are substantially equiangularly positioned around the frame, and the posts are correspondingly positioned upon the block. The frame is surrounded by a case which is adapted to be fastened to another structure such as a vehicle or gimbal. At points angularly positioned around the frame, substantially equiangularly positioned from the adjacent sleeve fixtures, the frame is rigidly attached to the case. The mounts and the frame are both made of a material, typically Invar, having a known temperature coefficient of expansion.

Abstract: A support structure for a flimsy plastic bag including:(a) a lightweight plastic loop, extending in a horizontal plane and defining a looping axis,(b) sleeves mounted on the loop at at least three spaced apart locations, to pivot, with frictional resistance, about the axis,(c) elongated legs carried by the sleeves to project away from the sleeves sidewardly therefrom whereby the legs may be pivoted between retracted position adjacent a plane defined by the loop, and downwardly extended position to support the loop spaced above a surface above which the legs extend,(d) the loop and sleeves sized to allow folding of the top edge portion of the bag thereover, with the main extent of the bag depending from and below the loop, between the legs.

Abstract: The base tripod adjustably supports a post structure having a horizontal arm segment at its upper end. A pivot at the arm segment outer end adjustably carries an arm positionable about a horizontal axis of the pivot means. A shorthand machine is mounted on the arm by means of a slide positionable and lockable along the arm. The pivot means includes a lock which serves to retain the machine's supporting arm at a desired inclination. A limit stop on the arm limits slide movement.

Abstract: A SCUBA tank mounting adapter, for mounting two SCUBA tanks to a single tank SCUBA backpack is presented. The adapter has two tank acceptors, a mounting bracket and straps to hold tanks in place. The tank acceptors are attached to the mounting bracket and the straps surround the acceptors. In accordance with this invention, the tanks can be of different sizes and diameters and still fit onto the same adapter.

Abstract: A beverage container holder for supporting a drinking container on a wide variety of surfaces and for keeping the beverage hot or cold, as desired, comprising a container holder, a liquid-impervious bladder secured around and beneath it and containing a small amount of cellulose fibers and a bacteriostat that swell in the presence of water to fill the bladder and be amenable to heating in a microwave oven or freezing to adjust the temperature of the swollen material.

Abstract: A feedthrough fitting seals around at least one conduit extending longitudinally through a wall opening forming two pairs of parallel inner side surfaces and forming longitudinally directed inner and outer peripheral surfaces. The fitting comprises a plurality of similar elastomeric liner blocks each extending the full width of the opening from one of the side surfaces thereof to the opposite parallel side surface thereof. Each block is formed with at least one interface surface directly engaging the interface surface of an adjacent block, at least one half seat on one of the interface surfaces complementary to the conduit and snugly engaging same, a nonplanar formation extending the full width of the opening on each of the interface surfaces and hermetically interfitting with the nonplanar formation of the adjacent block, and outwardly directed inner and outer lips that extend laterally past the respective opening and engage on the inner and outer peripheral surfaces.

A pivotable drink base is attached, along with a pivotable and height-adjustable retaining hoop. The base, hoop, and linkage can be folded compactly for storage.

Abstract: A compact computer support stand that includes an open frame having a pair of vertically disposed front legs and a second pair of vertically disposed shorter rear legs. A keyboard table is horizontally disposed from the top of the front legs so that the table extends forwardly from the frame. An inclined monitor platform is mounted at one end in the top part of the rear legs and extends upwardly at an angle. The other end of the platform is supported between the front legs of the frame upon a horizontally disposed bar. Clamps are provided to hold a monitor upon the inclined platform. A rectangular bracket is connected between the two pairs of legs beneath the incline platform. A shelf is seated upon the bracket upon which is supported the disk drive of the computer.

Abstract: A variable width transparent photographic film vacuum hold-down device. Two spaced parallel vacuum slits formed on a flat platen are connected by the longitudinal edges of the film, and when covered by a flexible cover sheet form two vacuum channels holding the film flat and unobscured to the extreme edges. Any film width not exceeding the length of the vacuum slits is held without any modification or adjustment to the device. Any length of film can be used.

Abstract: A retaining adaptor is provided which secures appliances such as televisions to appliance support devices without necessitating any structural change or other damage to the appliance.

Abstract: Wide angle mirrors for mounting on Purple Martin birdhouses, which mirrors are characterized in a first preferred embodiment by a circular mirror mounted in a square frame and polished on a single, wide angle convex surface. In a second preferred embodiment the mirror is characterized by a double convex wide angle surface. An L-rod extends to the mirror or mirror frame for pivotal or fixed mounting to the frame and the opposite end of the L-rod is shaped for attachment to a birdhouse by means of a bracket and a fastener. In a most preferred embodiment of the invention, the L-rod is directed downwardly on the extending end, which extending end is fashioned into a hook, from which the mirror frame hangs, such that the mirror will oscillate in the wind. At the opposite, or mounted end, the U-shaped L-rod end is secured to a ledge of the birdhouse by the bracket and a nail, screw or both.

Abstract: A conference easel is provided with upper and lower frame sections and a pair of vertical frame sections pointed together by corner members in plug-and-socket connections. The profiled sections can be of tubular and can have projecting tubular portions forming channels accommodating edges of a panel. Two legs of tripod support are slidable in the vertical frame sections while a pair of flap profiles are articulated to the upper and lower frame sections to form, respectively, a clamp for a paper pad on the easel and a tray for writing compartments.

Abstract: A recreational vehicle leveling device having a wheel receiving plate and a terrain engaging plate that are pivotally hinged to each other at their front ends. Both of these plates have a predetermined curvature along their longitudinal axis. The rear end of the wheel receiving plate has interlocking hinge structure with the top end of a rear spacer plate. The bottom end of the rear spacer plate is detachably received in a slot formed adjacent the rear end of the terrain engaging plate. In its collapsed state, the terrain engaging plate, the wheel receiving plate, and the rear spacer plate can be stacked upon each other to displace a minimum amount of space. Handle slots are formed adjacent the front end of the vehicle leveling device.

Abstract: A hanger for pots of the type having a plurality of openings spaced around a perimeter and having a suspension member, a plurality of wires connected to the suspension member, and on the other of ends of each wire there being a quick attachment device adapted to be inserted through a respective opening in the pot, and engaging the pot securely.

Abstract: The invention concerns an article suspension system and is provided for raising, lowering and suspending an article (such as display materials, botanical specimens, electrical, video or electronic gear, and the like) on a cord, e.g. overhead or across open spaces, at selected positions of static and dynamic suspension such as display or monitoring positions or service and maintenance positions. The invention includes novel article hook means, locking handle means, and cord lock means for suspension from one or more pulley supports.
