  • Patent number: 10762169
Abstract: A system for determining adverse effects associated with a substance includes a side-effect recognizer, a relationship extractor, a processor, and a reporting system. The side-effect recognizer utilizes a first recurrent neural network (RNN) to identify a first portion of received data associated with an adverse effect to thereby determine the adverse effect associated with the received data. The relationship extractor utilizes a second RNN to identify a second portion of the received data associated with a substance and a third portion of the received data that indicates a relationship between the substance and the adverse effect to thereby determine the substance associated with the received data and the relationship between the substance and the adverse effect. The processor is in communication with the adverse effect recognizer and the substance relationship extractor and aggregates and relates the adverse effect, substance, and relationship.

  • Patent number: 10692592
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media are provided for synchronizing healthcare data across disparate data centers. Healthcare data from healthcare data sources is received by a collector service that operates in a cloud computing platform. The data is sent to a staging platform associated with a first data center that is hosting the collector service. From here, the data is stored in association with a long-term storage data store associated with the first data center. As well, it is communicated to processing nodes associated with the first data center that subscribe to the data. The staging platform also communicates the data to a staging platform associated with a second data center. This staging platform also stores the data in association with a long-term storage data store located at the second data center and communicates the data to processing nodes located at the second data center that subscribe to the data.

  • Patent number: 10579954
Abstract: Methods and systems are described for initiating a pre-staged preparation related to a medical treatment to be provided to a patient at a healthcare facility using a hierarchical node network having an ID node, a master node, and a server. The ID node is associated with the patient and can communicate directly with the master node. The master node can directly communicate with the server and separately communicate with the ID node. The master node and ID node associate when the master node detects a signal broadcast from the ID node as the patient approaches the healthcare facility. The master node receives medical status information from the ID node and transmits the information to the server. The server determines the location of the ID node, and then initiates the pre-staged preparation related to the patient based upon the determined location of the ID node and the medical status information.

  • Patent number: 10566080
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-storage media are provided for providing explainability to an end-user on why a particular patient failed to qualify for a health-related measure. High-level clinical logic explainability rules are generated on top of high-level clinical logic used to identify members of a population who qualify and who do not qualify for the health-related measure. The explainability rules are designed to identify which components in the high-level clinical logic are not satisfied by the patient's health data, and, more specifically, which of the components' sub-criteria disqualified the patient from the health-related measure. The output of the explainability rules is structured into an easy-to-understand format that is presented on a user interface associated with an end-user such as a clinician.

  • Patent number: 10565656
Abstract: An adjudicated prescription claim transaction response is received and includes a total amount paid by the claims processor, a patient pay amount, and the pharmacy's Usual and Customary Charge amount for a product/service. The adjudicated response can be evaluated to determine it was approved/paid and the total amount paid by the claims processor is zero or less. An income audit evaluation may be conducted by comparing the patient pay amount to the Usual and Customary Charge amount. Based on the Usual and Customary Charge amount being less than or less than or equal to the patient pay amount, a reversal transaction can be generated and transmitted to a claims processor computer for adjudication. Further, the adjudicated prescription claim transaction response can be converted from an approved/paid response to (or replaced by) a rejected adjudicated prescription claim transaction response and transmitted to the pharmacy computer that initiated the prescription claim transaction.
