The ball is positioned within the housing. A spherical seat is positioned against the ball. At least one tension disc spring is positioned against the seat. A radial braking means is positioned against the spring. A flange ring is affixed to the base of the housing securing the ball, seat, at least one spring and braking means in place within the housing. A base is secured to the braking means. An actuator lever is connected to the seat through the base. A cam and handle assembly is connected to the lever and a rod is affixed within the aperture of the ball.

    Abstract: A tool is provided for use in combination with a conventional claw hammer. The tool comprises an integral tool body having a sleeve for surrounding the cylindrical striker section of the hammer head. A support portion extends outwardly from the sleeve generally at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the sleeve and carries at its remote end a surface engaging curved portion for resting against the surface from which a nail is to be pulled and for acting as a fulcrum holding the hammer away from the surface to improve the direction of pull on a nail grasped by the claw of the claw hammer. The surface engaging portion at the end of the tool has an apex at one end including a sharpened claw for engaging a fully embedded nail. At the opposed end is provided an anvil surface which can be struck by the hammer to drive the apex into position to grasp a nail.

The body defines two blunted prongs on either side of a central axis on the body extending away from the attachment to the handle through the body. The two prongs define therebetween a V-shaped gathering gap with blunted opposed V-shaped edges on either side of the axis. There is a second body portion including portions of the two prongs, the first portion being divided from the second portion along a bending axis normal to the central axis of the body. The second body portion includes portions of the two prongs bent upwardly and away towards the handle at an obtuse angle along the bending axis to form a weed pulling cradle area in the body.

At this time, the cylinder (20) moves slower but increases ascending force, thus requiring small power to manipulate a jack lever (not shown) pumping the piston (10).
