  • Patent number: 7080432
Abstract: A tool is disclosed, for inserting a multi-turn spiral lock, received by a groove of a piston assembly. The tool includes a handle, for transmitting manual torque forces, to enter a spiral, grooved head, or a profiled fitting, a wire lock ring. The spiral, grooved head, is manufactured, with a ½ turn medium-pitched, helical groove. This permits the ½ spire, after being assembled, to be easily pushed, and transferred, to a piston groove. Also, a wire lock end, equipped with a controlled sliding sleeve, allows the ring to be located on the tool, prior to assembly. This allows for an easy bore insertion to snap the wire lock into the bore groove.

  • Patent number: 7051999
Abstract: An apparatus fish's telecommunication or electrical wiring, optical cables or conduit behind walls without need for a plurality of drilled holes or cutting slots. The apparatus has a central drive shaft comprising a magnetic mouse; a string; and a permanent magnet. The magnetic mouse comprises a sheet cut from a soft magnetic sheet material, coated with a low friction surface finish. It is attached to the string and dropped through a first hole location in the wall into a common bay between joists behind the wall. Following insertion, the magnetic mouse is driven from the first hole location to a second hole location by a permanent magnet, which is translated over the ceiling or interior of the wall. Translation of the permanent magnet moves the magnetic mouse inside the ceiling or wall, carrying the string through the common bay from said second hole location to said first hole location, thereby establishing a fishing line.

  • Patent number: 7048256
Abstract: During the installation of a catenary cable of a catenary of a track, the catenary cable is pulled from a storage drum, on which it is wound, and guided over winch wheels of a friction winch while being held under tension. From there, the catenary cable is passed onto a mounting roller with a pull-off resistance producing an installation tension. The pull-off resistance is created by the friction winch and counteracts a pull-off force of the catenary cable. Between the winch wheels of the friction winch, the cable tension is gradually increased up to the pull-off resistance.
