Abstract: A reusable paperclip can accommodate a large range of paper stack sizes. It is configured to bind a stack from one corner without becoming distorted in shape when used on a large stack. The clip has vertical members to prevent horizontal and vertical movement of the stacked papers and connected horizontal members to apply pressure to the surfaces of the stack to frictionally bind the stacked papers. The clip is easily placed and removed by the user, and allows a person to view all information on a standard formatted page with little to no obstruction of the printed information. The clip also allows a user to flip though a stack of papers and easily remove individual papers from the stack or insert additional pages without disturbing the sheets and without the need to remove or adjust the position of the clip.

Abstract: There is provided a slide fastener. Each of a pair of fastener element rows is a coil-shaped fastener element row made of synthetic resin. Each of fastener elements includes an engaging head section, a first leg section and a second leg section. The first and second leg sections protrude from the engaging head section and extend parallel to each other. The first leg section comes in contact with the corresponding fastener tape and the second leg section does not come in contact with the corresponding fastener tape. The first leg section is colored in a color different from those of the fastener tapes and the second leg section. The color of the first leg section is visible through a gap between the pair of fastener tapes.

Abstract: An accessory holder for retaining accessories around the body of a user is provided. The holder includes a circular or oval-like perimeter with a central support that divides the device into two half-moon openings. The frame of the accessory holder is made of a flexible wire that is capable of being bent or folded into a variety of configurations, whereby the form is retained throughout the day. An elastomeric or rubber coating may be applied to the frame to add to the aesthetic appeal of the device. An accessory fabric, such as a scarf, may be inserted into the half-moon shaped openings of the holder. The ends of the scarf may be looped, weaved, or otherwise secured through the accessory holder. A user may secure the scarf around the waist, neck, or other suitable part of the body with the accessory holder maintaining the desired orientation of the accessory.

Abstract: A clipboard having first and second panels that are integrally coupled together. In one embodiment, the clipboard comprises a first panel having a top end; a second panel having a top end, the first and second panels coupled together by a first hinge connecting the top end of the first panel to the top end of the second panel; the second panel comprising: a second hinge that divides the second panel into a cover portion and a clip portion; and a third hinge that divides the clip portion of the second panel into a first section and a second section.

Abstract: A safety belt buckle includes a buckle member, a hook, a stop member, and a latch member. The buckle member has a chamber therein, which is communicated with an opening. The latch member has a tongue plate which is inserted into the chamber through the opening. The stop member and the hook are provided in the chamber, and the latch member is not able to be detached from the buckle member because that the stop member stops the hook from moving to engage the tongue plate. By pressing a press button on the stop member, the stop member is moved to a predetermined position, and no longer stops the hook from disengaging the tongue plate. The latch member is able to be detached from the buckle member at this time.

Abstract: A fastener to engage and hold a first member to a second member. The fastener has a clip member adapted to install into a first aperture on the first member, the clip member having, a main body and a clipping tongue biased away from the body to engage the aperture. The clip also has a mounting portion extending outwardly. A washer can pass over the mounting portion and the washer has an extension to pass between and wedge the main body and the clipping tongue apart. A fastener then engages the mounting portion to secure the clip member, washer, and second member, to the first member.

Abstract: A quick-release fastener for a vehicle seat belt (21) with a fitting part (1), and a fastening part (7). The fitting part (1) has a first opening (2), and a second opening (3), in which the fastening part (7) can be locked to a locking head (6). The fastening part (7) can be inserted into the opening (3) in which a spring element (14) is arranged in an assembly position (I), and the spring element (14) can be moved into the locked position (II). A housing (100) is adapted to the shape of the fitting part (1) with the locking head (6) retained therein. The mounting (112) is shaped n such that the fitting part (I) with the locking head (6) can be completely received in the mounting (112) only when the locking head (6) is in the locked position (II).

Abstract: A fixturing apparatus that includes a planar member having a first end, a second end, a front surface, and a rear surface, wherein the planar member is formed to include an aperture extending therethrough, a handle attached to the front surface adjacent the second end and extending outwardly therefrom, and a plurality of locking teeth disposed on the rear surface adjacent the second end.

Abstract: A safety hook includes a hook body and a trigger unit. The hook body has an opening. The trigger unit includes a keeper member and a trigger member. The keeper member is connected to the hook body. The trigger member is connected to the keeper member. The keeper member is operable to pivot relative to the hook body. The trigger member engages the hook body, and is unable to pivot relative to the keeper member so as to block the opening of the hook body when the keeper member is at a released position. The trigger member is moved via the keeper member to be disengaged from the hook body, and is able to pivot to unblock the opening of the hook body when the keeper member is at a pressed position.

Abstract: A fabric gathering device including a clasp having a front half hingedly attached to a back half, a plurality of rounded ridges continuously disposed on a front surface of the back half of the clasp, an aperture disposed through the back half of the clasp, a pin disposed on a back surface of the front half of the clasp, and a pin cap removably disposed on an apex of the pin. The clasp has an open position and an alternate closed position. The pin is disposed through the aperture when the clasp is in the closed position. The pin is disposed outside of the aperture when the clasp is in the open position.

Abstract: An end guide for a cord attachment device includes a cloth. The cloth is configured to fold over, unto, and overlap itself. The cloth has three portions. The first and second portions are longer than a third portion. The cloth is folded axially about a central longitudinal axis. The central longitudinal axis spans from the proximal end to the distal end of the cloth. The folding causes the first and second portions to overlap. A plurality of flutes are configured in the cloth by a plurality of stitch lines running parallel to each other and extending through first and second sides (the front and back) of the cloth and extending through the overlap of the first and second portions. At least one of the plurality of stitch lines are located between each of the flutes. The flutes span to both the proximal and distal ends of the cloth.

Abstract: The invention relates to the joining together of laces and laces with detachable applications and, in particular, to lace systems (100) for exchanging laces, joining parts especially suitable for this purpose and the attachment of applications to such an exchangeable lace. Such a lace system allows guided laces to be exchanged and comprises a device (110) with a lace guide (112), wherein the device is at least part of a shoe (182), a garment (184), a rucksack (186) or a bag (188). Furthermore, such a lace system comprises a first lace (120), which is guided in the lace guide and has a joining part (122), and a second lace (140), which has a joining part (142), wherein the first and second laces can be joined by means of the joining parts and the joining parts have a diameter that is not substantially any greater than the diameter of the first lace or the lace guide, such that the laces joined by means of the joining parts can be pulled through the lace guide together with the joined joining parts.

Abstract: A binder clip includes a clamping member of spring steel having jaws interconnected by a transverse portion, and a pair of handles each formed of two legs mounted at spaced positions to adjacent the free ends of the jaws. A portion of one leg of one handle extends adjacent one edge of a jaw of the clamping member to adjacent the transverse portion, where another portion of the leg is directed inwardly; and a portion of the other leg of that handle extends adjacent the other edge of the jaw of the clamping member to adjacent the transverse portion, where another portion of the leg is directed inwardly. There is thus provided a space between the two legs so that an element such as a label holder can be mounted on the jaw of the clamping member, without interference from the legs of the handle.

Abstract: In a knitted fastener stringer, a fastener element is fixed by a fixing chain stitch yarn disposed on an element attaching portion of a fastener tape. This fixing chain stitch yarn has a first needle loop which is knitted into a ground structure and a second needle loop which fixes upper and lower leg portions of the fastner element. As a result, it is possible to achieve an improvement of productivity and a large reduction of a manufacturing cost by increasing a knitting speed and further to stably obtain flexibility and a soft texture in the knitted fastener stringer.

Abstract: A fastener for coupling together parts with a curved surface has a male member and a female member. The male element has an overall I-shape with a head portion, neck portion and a body portion. The body portion is adapted to be coupled with one of the curved part. The head portion includes an ear on each side. A first surface on the male member is arcuate along the body, neck and head portions. The female member includes a pocket with a pair of deflectable projections. The projections extend from opposing walls toward one another. The projections engage the male member along the neck portion between the head portion and body portion to retain the male member with the female member.

Abstract: A male touch fastener strip includes an elongated base having a thickness and defining a longitudinal direction and a lateral direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction across the base between longitudinal edges of the base, and a field of male fastener elements each having a stem extending from a broad face of the base and a head at an upper end of the stem and overhanging the base for engaging fibers. The fastener element stems and broad face of the base together form a unitary mass of resin. The male touch fastener strip also includes a pair of longitudinal barrier walls rising from the broad face of the base on either side of the field of male fastener elements, and a plurality of lateral barrier walls. Each of the lateral barrier walls extends between facing surfaces of the longitudinal barrier walls to define a longitudinal column of bounded fastening cells that each contain one or more male fastener elements.

Abstract: A female snap is provided with: a first member for at least partially establishing an opening into which a post is inserted; and a second member which is able to restrict expansion of the opening in order to either increase the force needed for engagement/disengagement, or prohibit engagement/disengagement, of the post with respect to the female snap. The extent of expansion of the opening that is permitted by the second member varies depending on the relative positions of a contracting part of the second member and a contacted part of the first member in a peripheral direction going around the direction of insertion of the post into the opening.

Abstract: A lockable snap-clip fastener (10) has two spring-biased jaw members (12, 14) and a slidable locking bar (16). The same spring (13) that biases the jaws (12, 14) holds the locking bar (16) in either an open or a closed position with one of its arms. Since the bar (16) is held in either the locked or unlocked position, it is more secure and must be positively actuated in order to transition from one configuration to the other.

Abstract: A triple locking hook connector includes a hook, a locking bar, a first spring, a controlling shaft, and a second spring. The hook has an axle hole and a first groove on an end of a hook opening, and has a spacing portion on the other end of the hook opening. An edge of an end of the locking bar has a first bolt. The first spring is to drive a first bolt to keep at the first position and to drive the other end of the locking bar to remain in the spacing portion. The controlling shaft joins the axle hole via a main axle to restrict the first bolt in the first position and to be driven by a second spring to stay at the third position to ensure the locking bar shutting the hook opening.
