Abstract: A system and method effecting payment for POS purchases includes a database in which a unique code is associated with one of one or more electronic payment systems specified by a customer having one of a plurality of enterprise membership service identification codes stored in the database that uniquely identifies the customer as one of a plurality of shopper members of an enterprise membership service program associated with a retail enterprise. In response to receipt by an input device of a point-of-sale system of the retail enterprise of a manually-supplied code as part of a transaction for the purchase of one or more items, a processor processes payment for the one or more items using the one of the one or more electronic payment systems if the manually-supplied code matches the unique code associated with the one of the one or more electronic payment systems in the database.

Abstract: The present invention provides a charging control method, a charging trigger apparatus, and an online charging system. The method includes: generating, by a CTF, a resource quota request according to a trigger condition; and sending the resource quota request to an online charging system (OCS), so that the OCS determines a quota type and number after receiving the resource quota request, and allocates a quota for the resource quota request according to the quota type and number determined by the OCS, where the quota type and number are determined by the OCS according to the resource quota request. In the foregoing method, a problem that in the prior art, a charging control error occurs due to different determining bodies of a quota type is solved.

Abstract: A system, method, and apparatus for managing expense reports are disclosed. An example apparatus includes an aggregation interface configured to receive, from a financial entity, a defined account data subset of account data related to a financial transaction of a user and a defined transaction data subset of transaction data of the financial transaction. The example apparatus also includes a secure transaction engine configured to create an expense object that includes the defined account data subset and the defined transaction data subset and display information from the expense object within a first graphical user interface in conjunction with information from other expense objects related to the user. The secure transaction engine is also configured to create an expense report that includes an expense object selected by the user and selectively excludes the other expense objects to shield the other expense objects from being accessible or viewed by a third-party.

Abstract: In some examples, a service provider may determine a courier placement location for a service area and a courier inventory for the service area. Based on the inventory, the service provider may order first items from a first merchant and second items from a second merchant. The service provider may dispatch a first courier to pick up the first items and a second courier to pick up the second items. Further, a third courier may go to a handoff location to receive the courier inventory made up of first items picked up by the first courier and second items picked up by the second courier. In some examples, the handoff location is determined dynamically based on the current locations of the first, second, and third couriers and predicted courier travel times. Additionally, or alternatively, the handoff location may be determined based in part on the courier placement location.

Abstract: Example embodiments relate to a point of sale device leveraging a payment unification service. In some examples, a system may include instructions for a seller unification gateway to receive, via a network, a transaction initiation signal from a point of sale device. The transaction initiation signal may be in response to a purchase request of a buyer that interacts with the point of sale device. The system may include instructions for the seller unification gateway to send, via a network, a transaction authorization request to a buyer unification gateway. The system may include instructions for the buyer unification gateway to receive, via a network, an authorization response from a buyer device near or in the point of sale device. The authorization response may be generated in response to the buyer interacting with the buyer device.

Abstract: This disclosure describes a system for automatically transitioning items from a materials handling facility without delaying a user as they exit the materials handling facility. For example, while a user is located in a materials handling facility, the user may pick one or more items. The items are identified and automatically associated with the user at or near the time of the item pick. When the users enters and/or passes through a transition area, the picked items are automatically transitioned to the user without affirmative input from or delay to the user.

Abstract: In some examples, a service provider may receive revenue value shared between the service provider and a merchant. The service provider may also receive an order request along with item information and a delivery location. Accordingly, the service provider may determine an original delivery boundary and a delivery fee associated with the order request based at least on the delivery location. If the value of revenue shared is more than a predefined value, the service provider allocates at least a part of the value of shared revenue toward modifying the delivery boundary, wherein the modified delivery boundary causes at least one of: (a) an inclusion of the buyer previously excluded from the delivery boundary, or (b) a new delivery fee for delivering the indicated items, where the new delivery fee is computed based on a contribution of the percentage value of the shared revenue toward the original delivery fee.

Abstract: Many people acquire items such as souvenirs when travelling. This disclosure describes systems and methods for shipping items acquired while travelling. In one implementation, an item is dropped off and a description of the item is provided. The item is delivered to a fulfillment center. A fulfillment center computing system may inspect the item by verifying that the description of the item corresponds to the item. By inspecting the item, the fulfillment center computing system may perform additional services, such as processing a tax refund incurred when item was purchased.

Abstract: A system and method for calculating variable consideration for performance obligations. The method can involve, checking a database for historical transaction data, accessing the historical transaction data, and applying one or more predetermined variable consideration rules to the historical transaction data. The method can include automatically analyzing the historical transaction data generating an analysis report based on the data. The method can include uploading predetermined corrections to variable consideration transactions to a database or other storage medium and applying the corrections to historical performance obligation transaction data. The method can include determining whether variable consideration changes should be applied to individual transaction lines within the variable consideration transactions.

Abstract: A transaction system and method in which a customer operates a mobile device, such as a smart phone, to interact with a transaction server during a transaction at a checkout station while scanning items. An example method includes establishing by the server a connection with a mobile communication device, receiving by the server item descriptions associated with items purchased from a code reader, sending by the server prices of the items and the item descriptions to the mobile communication device for display by the mobile communication device, and receiving payment by the server from the customer for the items.

Abstract: An auto cross-referencing functionality related to an order number directed to a product within an electronic catalog hosted by a vendor system is presented on a client computing device in a page providing an access point for ordering an item. The system allows a customer to enter a manufacturer, competitor, or other non-vendor specific ordering number into an ordering system and have the provided number transformed in-situ to the vendor's ordering number, either in real-time and/or through a batch-like process.

Abstract: The present invention includes methods and apparatus for the automated provision of goods through the use of scanning systems. More specifically, the present invention provides a method for automatically conveying which goods are being ordered, where the goods will be picked up, an associated method of payment, kitchen fulfillment, item tracking, and automatic delivery by a dispenser apparatus. In preferred embodiments, the present invention is applied to the automated ordering and pick-up of food items at a fast food restaurant.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes a system, method, and computer program for dynamically reconciling a retailer receiving invoice with a distributor invoice for products sold and invoiced under multiple UPC codes and in multiple units of quantity. A retailer receiving invoice is matched to to a distributor invoice. For each line item in both invoices, the UPC, quantity, and unit-price are normalized. Invoiced UPCs are normalized to a hierarchy level in a product family a master product database. Also, invoiced unit prices are compared to upper and lower price limits for invoiced UPCs to determine whether an invoiced UPC correlates to an invoiced unit price. Quantity and unit-price are normalized by converting price-correlated units to base-level units in a product hierarchy. Normalized UPCs, quantities, and unit price are compared to match line items across invoices and discover any discrepancies. Credits are matched to discrepancies.

Abstract: A system and method for attribute extraction from product titles is presented. A set of product titles are read by an embodiment. The product titles are separated into a sequence of tokens, the tokens being determined by the presence of a separator character. The sequences of tokens are labeled according to a specific encoding scheme to denote attributes of a title, such as brand name and other features. The characteristics of the attributes within the title are determined to build a sequence labeling algorithm. The results of the encoding is compared to a normalization dictionary comparing standardized attributes. A blacklist can be consulted to further refine the method. A further validation can be performed to catch any remaining mistakes. Thereafter, a database entry can be made to associate the attribute with the item. A training set can be used to initialize the learning model. Other embodiments are also disclosed herein.

Abstract: A financial services ecosystem for providing a collaborative worldwide payment system includes: a computer-based system configured to credit a merchant, by way of a merchant bank, for goods sold or services rendered to a consumer; and a payment process platform configured to receive data from a user application. The payment process platform is configured to generate a disposable bank identification number (BIN). The disposable BIN is converted from a BIN issued by a financial institution or credit card company. The disposable BIN is used by a biller as an authorization BIN to document that the consumer has paid a bill.

Abstract: A greeting card stored-value card combinations and methods of forming said combinations are provided. In one embodiment, these combinations include a greeting card comprising means for affixing a stored-value card thereto. These combinations also include a stored-value card affixed to the greeting card. A single identifier, such as a Stock-Keeping Unit (SKU) or a Universal Product Code (UPC), is assigned to the bundle that uniquely identifies the bundled greeting card and stored-value card. The single identifier provides identification means allowing the stored-value card to be activated. A single capture of the single identifier enables the customer to both purchase the greeting card stored-value card combination product as well as to activate the store-value card.

Abstract: Techniques for automated employee management are provided. A clock action for an employee is acquired and analyzed based on rules. Next, a decision is made whether to automatically accept the clock action, automatically deny the clock action, or interactively request approval from a supervisor for the clock action. The decision is based on analysis of the rules.

Abstract: A device may receive first information related to a transaction. The device may identify a first device from which to receive an image of a receipt related to the transaction. The device may provide, to the first device, a notification to cause the first device to perform a set of actions including activating a camera associated with the first device to capture the image of the receipt, or providing, for display, an instruction related to capturing the image of the receipt associated with the transaction. The device may receive, from the first device, the image of the receipt. The device may process the image of the receipt to perform an analysis of the transaction. The device may perform an action related to the transaction based on a result of processing the image of the receipt.
