The toner has toner particles containing a binder resin, a colorant, a wax and a compound of Formula (A): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.4 each represent a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic group, inclusive of a condensed ring; R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 each represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic group, inclusive of a condensed ring; M represents an element selected from B, Ti, Fe, Co, Cr, Al and Ni; and X.sup.n+ represents a cation. The toner has the shape factors SF-1 and SF-2 with the specified range. Further, disclosed are a process for producing the toner and an image forming method using the toner.

The photoconductive composition has excellent sensitivity and thermal decomposition property. Thus, there are scarcely residues left after the sintering process, thereby effectively preventing deterioration in image quality of a display device.

The external additive has, on the toner particles, at least (i) an inorganic fine powder (A) present in the state of primary particles or secondary particles and having an average particle length of from 10 m.mu.m to 400 m.mu.m and a shape factor SF-1 of from 100 to 130 and (ii) a non-spherical inorganic fine powder (B) formed by coalescence of a plurality of particles and having a shape factor SF-1 of greater than 150. Also, a two-component developer and an image forming method, using the toner, are disclosed.

    Abstract: This invention relates to a coated carrier for development of an electrostatically charged image, comprising carrier core particles coated with a coating resin; wherein the coating resin at least includes a polyolefin resin having a cyclic structure; a polyolefin resin of a cyclic structure having an intrinsic viscosity (i.v.) of 0.25 dl/g or more, a heat distortion temperature (HDT) by DIN53461-B of 70 .degree. C. or higher, and a number average molecular weight of 7,500 or more and a weight average molecular weight of 15,000 or more, as measured by GPC, is contained in an amount of less than 50% by weight based on the entire coating resin; and the coating resin is used for coating in an amount of 1 to 30% by weight based on the carrier core particles. The present invention can obtain a coated carrier which exhibits high anti-spent toner effect and excellent charge control properties during development with a dry toner.
