  • Patent number: 8205309
Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided for supporting one or more structural members for installation onto a vehicle structure. A clamp may include two or more curved portions joined by a living hinge. The living hinge may enable the curved portions to pivot relative to one another, providing the clamp with an open position and a closed position. The curved portions may include respective track portions, with the first and second track portions being approximately collinear when the clamp is in the closed position. An elongated rigid latch defines an elongated channel for receiving these respective track portions to provide a rigid structural link between the first and second curved portions. A mounting point is attached to the first or the second curved portion, with the mounting point being adapted to receive the structural members.

  • Patent number: 8205306
Abstract: The present invention discloses a single-part zipper pull comprised of two rotatable halves secured together on a pin. On one end of the zipper pull is a handle by which fingers can grasp the pull. On the other end of the zipper pull are clasps to latch to the zipper slider. The complete clasp is made up of the two J hooks, one on each half. The handle is made complete by rotating the two halves of the zipper pull together. In the open position, the J hooks have a gap by which to engage the zipper slider crown. In the closed position, the clasps come together making a complete loop thereby securing to the zipper slider crown. Once the zipper pull tab is closed, a latch and receiver engage to prevent the two halves from rotating to an open position.

  • Patent number: 8191213
Abstract: A quick release buckle assembly has a male portion and a female portion. The female portion has a hollow body and at least one locking slot. The male portion has a base with at least one locking leg, such that inserting the male portion into the female portion causes the locking leg to engage the locking slot to lock the male portion to the female portion. The male portion has a lever pivotably connected to the male portion, and a free end with a tongue extending into an interior of the male portion. The male portion has an engaging element connected to a free end of the locking legs and contacting the tongue, so that lifting the free end of the lever causes the tongue to push the engaging element toward the base of the male portion and move the locking legs inward to release the male portion from the female portion.

  • Patent number: 8191210
Abstract: A holding structure including a first band and a second band used with a prior art device such as a watch casing. The first band includes a first end with connecting elements of the casing, and a buckle and a bar. The first band defines an angle such that when the device is placed upon the top of the wearer's hand the first band downwardly extends below the individual's fifth or smallest finger immediately above the wearer's wrist. The second band attaches to the casing and first and second band members. The buckle is attached to one of a plurality of holes in the second band member such that the first band and second band member encircle the wearer's hand below the base of the wearer's thumb. The first band member passes between the wearer's thumb and index finger such that a clasp extends around the thumb and attaches to a connecting element of the second band member below the wearer's thumb on the palm-side of the wearer's hand.

  • Patent number: 8099837
Abstract: A low-profile clip adapted to secure a listing bead to a foam substrate and is constructed from a material that affords resilience, durability, high resistance to a wide range of temperatures during field use and seat assembly and ease of bead installation with high pull-out strength. The clip includes a base and a pair of legs extending upwardly from the base to a top barb. In this embodiment, the legs each extend upwardly from the base at a first angle of approximately 80 to 85 degrees and therefrom to each of the respective barbs at a second angle, with respect to a plane parallel to the base of approximately 88 to 90 degrees. In this manner the clip exhibits high performance while defining an overall height from tops of the legs to a bottom of the base of approximately ten millimeters or less making the clip particularly desirable for use in modern, thinner foam substrates.
