Abstract: An electronic device is disclosed. The electronic device may include a touch display unit that receives and displays user gesture inputs. The electronic device may include a processor coupled to the touch display unit. Upon the touch display unit receiving a user gesture input, the processor may acquire the user gesture input from the touch display unit and determine an operation type from multiple operation types of the user gesture input based on one or more properties of the user gesture input. Upon the touch display unit receiving a user gesture input, the touch display unit may display the user gesture input in accordance with the operation type of the user gesture input as determined by the processor.

Abstract: A mobile terminal and a method of controlling a mobile terminal may be provided. The mobile terminal may include a display to display one of a plurality of wallpapers including at least one icon; and a controller to display at least two of the plurality of wallpapers and a plurality of preview screens corresponding to the plurality of wallpapers on the display upon reception of an input of moving at least one icon, moving of the at least one icon being displayed on the displayed wallpapers and preview screens. The mobile terminal can display a movement of icon being displayed on the displayed wallpapers and preview screens. Accordingly, a user may intuitively recognize a location of icon and effectively move a location of icon.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for a user device including receiving a notification by a processing device of a user device a first user, the notification notifying the first user that a second user has shared a media item with the first user, the notification including a reference to the media item. The method further includes receiving a request of the first user to view the media item. The method further includes in response to the request of the first user, causing a messaging session between the first user and the second user to be provided, and presenting the media item to the first user in the messaging session.

Abstract: A firmware provides a setup browser that generates a setup menu. An internal forms representation of setup data for rendering the setup menu is converted to markup language (ML) setup data. The ML setup data is provided to an application that provides a GUI for defining a modified setup UI for the firmware. The application provides a graphical, drag-and-drop, WYSIWYG, UI through which a user can edit existing forms and controls, create new forms and controls, and specify default values and other properties. When a user modifies the setup menu using the application, customized ML setup data is generated that defines the modified setup UI. The customized ML setup data is used to create setup data that is stored in a firmware device for use by the setup browser with the internal format representation of setup data to render the modified setup UI.

Abstract: Techniques permitting users to input keyboard key combinations via context menu shortcuts are provided. A context menu may be invoked by long-pressing a function key such as “Ctrl.” The context menu includes key combination shortcuts associated with the pressed function key. For example, key combination shortcuts presented in the context menu for “Ctrl” may include “Ctrl+A,” “Ctrl+C,” “Ctrl+X,” “Ctrl+V,” and “Ctrl+Alt+Del.” The user can input a desired key combination by tapping on an appropriate shortcut. The context menu may include default and/or user-specified key combinations. Default key combinations may be application or operating system specific. In addition, users may configure desired key combinations to be displayed in the context menu for a given function key.

A first layout stored defines a first cell having a position and size and a second cell, the cells for displaying the first data value and the second data value, respectively. A second layout defines a third cell also for displaying the first data value, but having a size and/or position different than those of the first cell. A processing unit of the exercise computer is configured to selectively display the first layout and the second layout and to populate each of the cells with the corresponding data value.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for image-based browsing of resources, such as webpages, on a communication device, providing for image-based navigation of recently accessed resources and image-based selection of resources matching partial or complete address strings entered in an input field. Also provided are systems and methods for predictive loading of resources, by detecting browsing actions such as zooming in and hovering over thumbnail images of previously accessed resources, and initiating HTTP requests for those resources over a network before receipt of an express command to retrieve the resource. To improve the user-perceived responsiveness of the device to commands to download and display resources such as webpages comprising embedded objects, the order of requesting updated versions of the embedded objects is determined by analysis of the portion of the webpage of interest to the user. Prioritizing of various browser-related tasks is also disclosed.

Abstract: A system implementable on a computing device for handling color assignment within a complex document includes a user interface to facilitate user modification of at least one first color to at least one second color within a previously chosen color scheme for a component of the document. The color scheme has a predetermined number X of principal colors and a predetermined number Y of associated subordinate colors per principal color. The system also includes a color handler to modify the color scheme to produce an updated color scheme to match a perceived brightness of the at least one second color throughout at least a portion of the updated color scheme and a color processor to process and apply the updated color scheme at least to the component.

Abstract: A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a device having a controller to create metadata corresponding to an identity of an entity, incorporate in a media file the metadata that identifies the entity with metadata that describes media content in the media file, and present a graphical user interface depicting a media file directory structure generated according to the metadata that identifies the entity and the metadata that describes media content in the media file. Abstract: A channel distribution system has a channel carrying content, and an interactive receiver which receives content and provides to a user. The interactive receiver has an interface to allow the user to interact with the content. The channel also includes a broadcast label superimposed on the content which invites the user to interact with the content. The label includes an interactive link with a digital instruction containing handling information for the interactive receiver device. The handling information tells the interactive receiver how to handle a user interaction coinciding with the label.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a popping-screen push system which includes: a popping-screen server which receives a text or image information, transfer it into a popping-screen message, stores and manages the popping-screen message, and adds it into a broadcast request; a broadcasting server which receives a broadcast request from the popping-screen server and sends out the popping-screen message in the broadcast request in real time; a popping-screen player which receives the popping-screen message from the broadcast server, downloads and plays the popping-screen. The present invention is provided with a broadcasting server, and provides identification codes for respective popping-screen messages, videos, and popping-screen players. Thus, it is convenient for popping-screen management and thereby realizes a high efficiency of polling for users and the popping-screens.

Abstract: A measure factory for generating analytic measures includes data sets representing business activities arranged as columnar arrays with each column being associated with a distinct source rule that applies to the column when it is used as a data source. The measure factory includes factory rules that govern which operations on available data sources may be executed under what conditions in the measure factory, such as by taking into account the source rules and other applicable factory rules. A factory rule execution hierarchy governs the execution of ready factory rules that lack dependency on other factory rules before executing ready factory rules that have dependency on other factory rules. A script generation facility generates a script to process the plurality of factory rules according to the factory rule execution hierarchy.

Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a terminal device for displaying an application message are provided. The method includes: extracting a logic controller that controls application message sending and receiving from an application; determining the extracted logic controller as a common controller object of the application and a desktop; creating a desktop instance object corresponding to the common controller object; and loading and displaying a set user interface component on the desktop by using the desktop instance object, and when the application has a new application message, displaying the new application message in the set user interface component by pulling the new application message by the logic controller. Embodiments of the present invention enable a user to view a new application message on the desktop more conveniently, and reduce power consumption of the terminal device.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and media for associating multiple users with a media presentation device are provided. In some embodiments, the method comprises: receiving first user preferences; receiving second user preferences; receiving requests to associate the first user preferences and the second user preferences, respectively, with a media presentation device; causing the first user preferences and the second user preferences to be associated with identifying information of the media presentation device; receiving, from the media presentation device, a request to present a slideshow of images based on user preferences and identifying information of the first user device and a third user device; determining that the first user preferences are associated with the media presentation device; determining that user preferences of the third user device are not associated with the media presentation device; and causing content based on the first user preferences to be presented by the media presentation device.
