  • Patent number: 10740718
Abstract: Exemplary methods, apparatuses, and systems receive an indication that an order associated with a user account is ready for pickup. One or more messages to a user device associated with the user account are transmitted in response to the received indication that the order is ready. The one or more messages include identification of the order as being ready for pickup, a pickup location for the order, and a threshold distance from the pickup location for the order. Location data is received at a limited interval from a user device while the user device is outside of the threshold distance from the pickup location. Location data is received at a more frequent interval than the limited interval while the user device is within the threshold distance. The location data is transmitted to a local pickup device to trigger an alert when the user device is approaching the pickup location.

  • Patent number: 10685416
Abstract: A travel coordination system coordinates travel between a client and a provider to a destination. The client and provider meet at a pickup location and the provider transports the client (or an item or object from the client) to the destination. The travel coordination system automatically suggests a pickup location for the trip by determining location data points corresponding to prior trips of clients. Location data points near the client's location are determined by distance or by region and scored to determine a pickup location that improves the estimated pickup time and/or estimated time to arrive at the destination.

The system includes an aerial image file database that shows aerial images of buildings in a designated area according to address. The slope and orientation images are typically oblique perspective views and top plan views of the buildings in the area. The system also includes an image analysis and calibration feature that enables the viewer to closely estimate the size, geometry and orientation of the building's roof sections. The information can then be used to prepare a cost estimate for the repair or replacement of the roof or installation of roof equipment.

  • Patent number: 10528481
Abstract: A data block storage management capability is presented. A cloud file system management capability manages storage of data blocks of a file system across multiple cloud storage services (e.g., including determining, for each data block to be stored, a storage location and a storage duration for the data block). A cloud file system management capability manages movement of data blocks of a file system between storage volumes of cloud storage services. A cloud file system management capability provides a probabilistic eviction scheme for evicting data blocks from storage volumes of cloud storage services in advance of storage deadlines by which the data blocks are to be removed from the storage volumes. A cloud file system management capability enables dynamic adaptation of the storage volume sizes of the storage volumes of the cloud storage services.
