  • Patent number: 10425490
Abstract: A network computer system can receive data indicating a first service location from a computing device of a requesting user via an executing service application and determine data indicating a second service location. Based the first and second service locations, the network computer system can compute an upfront cost for each of a plurality of service options for completing an on-demand service for the requesting user. The network computer system can transmit data associated with the upfront cost for each of the plurality of service options to the computing device to enable a plurality of selectable graphic features to be displayed as part of a user interface on the computing device. Each of the graphic features can indicate the upfront cost for the corresponding service option.

  • Patent number: 10417727
Abstract: A network computer system can control the display of user interface features on remote computing devices. The network computer system can manage a requester profile for each of the plurality of requesters. A requester profile can be associated with historical data corresponding to previous services received or requested by the respective requester. Based on data associated with the requester profile, the network computer system can generate accelerator features to be displayed on a user interface of the computing device of the requester, where each of the accelerator features is selectable to cause the computing device of the requester to determine, without subsequent manual intervention, a service location where a service is to be completed for the requester.

  • Patent number: 10275733
Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for delivery confirmation using wireless beacons. A merchant may include a wireless beacon, such as a small token or device, inside of a package for delivery. The beacon may communicate with a user device for a user when the package is delivered to the user. The beacon may include recipient information of eligible recipients for the package. The beacon may receive identification information for the user when the user device connects to the beacon. A delivery person in possession of the package may then determine if the user is an eligible recipient for the package using the recipient information and the identification information. After delivery of the package, the user may reuse the beacon by erasing the recipient information from the beacon and storing new recipient information on the beacon. The user may then place the beacon in another package for delivery.

  • Patent number: 10181112
Abstract: A system is described for determining a relative location of a plurality of items upon a plurality of platforms. The system may include a memory, an interface, and a processor. The memory may store a first item, a second item, a first period of time and a second period of time. The interface may be operative to communicate with a user and an antenna. The antenna may be able to detect an item for a period of time. The processor may be operative to receive from the antenna, via the interface, the first item, the first period of time, the second item and the second period of time. The processor may determine whether the periods of time overlap. If the periods of time overlap the processor may communicate to the user that the items are upon the same platform, otherwise that the items are on consecutive platforms.

  • Patent number: 10096173
Abstract: In one embodiment, a mobile device (e.g., a smartphone) is utilized to determine whether a user has paid for parking. The mobile device collects sensor data that describes actions of a mobile device or actions of an automobile or of a driver of the automobile. The sensor data includes one or more of location data, acceleration data, rotational data, or audio data. Either the mobile device or a centralized server performs an analysis of the sensor data to determine data indicative of a pay status of the parking spot. The pay status indicates whether the user has likely paid for parking. The mobile device or the centralized server is configured to generate a message based on the data indicative of the pay status of the parking spot.
