Abstract: A display method and an electronic apparatus are provided. The method includes: displaying a first display page via a display device, where the first display page includes a first region; detecting a first sliding operation and a second sliding operation on the display device with respect to the first display page; determining whether the first sliding operation and the second sliding operation satisfy a set of predetermined conditions; and controlling a display size of the first region according to the first sliding direction or the second sliding direction, if the first sliding operation and the second sliding operation satisfy the set of predetermined conditions.

Abstract: An electronic display terminal including a display unit which displays a file including a plurality of pages on a screen for each region of the file, and a scroll bar which includes a bar displayed on a screen and an indicator which indicates a page position of a page including the region displayed on the display unit by a relative position with respect to the length of the bar, wherein the scroll bar switches a region displayed on the display unit based on a position element of a first direction that is a longitudinal direction of the bar and a position element of a second direction which is different from the first direction at a position on a screen touched by a user, and moves the indicator to a position which indicates a page position of a page including the region displayed after the region is switched.

Abstract: The dynamic adjustment of ratios of beverages to be mixed and dispensed in creating mixed or blended beverages is provided. A selection of beverages may be received from a user interface menu displayed by a computing device. A representation of a mixed beverage comprising the beverage selections may then be displayed according to pre-assigned default ratios. An input may then be received to adjust an assigned ratio associated with one or more of the beverage selections. The computing device may then adjust an assigned ratio associated with the one or more beverage selections in response to receiving the input. The computing device may then automatically adjust assigned ratios associated with other beverage selections in the representation of the mixed beverage. The computing device may then display a representation of the mixed beverage with the adjusted ratios in the user interface.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide systems and methods for mapping objects. One embodiment can include a server providing an object management system managing objects in a repository and an application program interface for interfacing with the object management system. The system can also include an object mapping system configured to provide an object map of the objects in the repository in a manner that allows a user to easily navigate and take actions on the objects.

Abstract: A contextual user interface based on environment is described. An assistant device can determine that speech has been spoken and determine the context of an environment of that speech. A user interface can then be generated based on the context of the environment and the content of the speech. Different context can result in different user interfaces being generated.

Abstract: Semantic zoom techniques are described. In one or more implementations, techniques are described that may be utilized by a user to navigate to content of interest. These techniques may also include a variety of different features, such as to support semantic swaps and zooming “in” and “out.” These techniques may also include a variety of different input features, such as to support gestures, cursor-control device, and keyboard inputs. A variety of other features are also supported as further described in the detailed description and figures.

The computer processor: computes a “brand” for the user to characterize and differentiate himself from other applicants; guides them through brainstorming their unique stories or anecdotes, and then allocating their stories or personal traits amongst the discrete pieces of an application; checks to make sure that an optimal mix of stories is being used; guides a user on a strategy for soliciting strong letters of recommendation; advises on the best type of resume to construct; breaks down a specific set of essay or interview questions into sub-questions; compiles and rearranges the sub-questions into a rough draft; provides guidance on how to create a final draft; automatedly solicits editing feedback from third parties; and, prepares the user for an interview, to include recording and critiquing a mock videotaped interview.

Abstract: Adjusting appearance of icons in an electronic device includes determining, for icons proximate to one another on a display of the electronic device, a visual property of each icon, wherein the determining includes a computer system computing a quantitative indication of the visual property for each icon. The visual properties of the icons are compared, wherein the comparing includes the computer system determining at least one quantitative difference for the visual properties of the icons. The visual property of at least one of the icons is changed by the computer system responsive to a comparison of the at least one quantitative difference to a predetermined threshold quantity, such that the at least one of the icons is more visually distinct.

Abstract: A document visualization system includes an extraction unit (1) for processing a first medical record (11) in a collection of medical records (10). The medical records include text (13) in a natural language. The extraction unit extracts an indicator from the text (13), which indicator is indicative of a reference to medical records (21) in the collection of medical records (10). A visualization unit (2) generates a visual representation of the first medical record (11), a visual representation of the second medical record (21), and a visual representation of the reference. A control unit (3) controls the extraction unit (1) to process a plurality of medical records of the collection of medical records (10), to extract indicators from text of the medical records.

Abstract: A system, method, and media are provided for generating a structured labeling graphical user interface. The user interface receives user input that associates multimedia content with categories. The user input may include user-supplied tags that further define the category for the multimedia content. The user-supplied tags are rendered proximate to the categories. In turn, a database logs user events to store, among other things, the categories, the user-supplied tags, time associated with completing the user-supplied tags, and time for associating multimedia content with the categories or tags.

Abstract: A hand-held electronic device having a remote control application user interface that functions to displays operational mode information to a user. The graphical user interface may be used, for example, to setup the remote control application to control appliances for one or more users in one or more rooms, to perform activities, and to access favorites. The remote control application is also adapted to be upgradeable. Furthermore, the remote control application provides for the sharing of operational mode information.

Abstract: An arrangement includes a memory, a display, a user input device, and a processing circuit. The memory stores programming instructions and data values corresponding to a first object data record having a first format and a second object data record having a second format. The first record corresponds to a first BAS device, and the second record corresponds to a second BAS device. The processing circuit receives additional data values from BAS devices and stores the additional data values in the memory. The processing device retrieves a data value corresponding to the first record from the memory. The processing device stores an object type definition having a third format, and maps the data value corresponding to the first record to the third format. The processing circuit provides the requested data based on the mapped data value to a software operation for generating a display.

Abstract: Focus requests to display applications are received, each focus request associated with at least one application from the applications. Application context from metadata tags describing content of the application is received. User context associated with information about a status of a user interacting with the computer system is received. Display priority of the applications based on the application context and the user context is determined. A list of the applications based on the display priority is created. The applications are displayed in windows in the graphical user interface environment based on the list.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus provide for an asset binder configured to select a media asset to be associated with a media segment that is represented in media seamline of a user interface at a client system, thereby creating a relationship between the media segment and the media asset. At the client system, in real-time, the media asset is layered upon the media segment in order to present the media asset in conjunction with playback of the media segment in the user interface. The relationship between the media segment and the media asset can be described as a parent-child relationship, such that media segment content and media asset content are not intermingled. The asset binder does not combine content of the media segment with content of the media asset within a rendered and compiled media file.
