Abstract: A connecting arrangement by which an electric load, which can be displaced in at least one direction of travel in relation to a feeder device, is supplied, by a cable, with electrical energy and/or data. The feeder device has at least one connection member for connecting to a corresponding connecting element of a cable carried by the electric load. An energy-supply system supplies the electric load. A simplified automatic connection of the cable to the feeder device by a connecting arrangement has a manipulator for connecting the connecting element to the connection member. A related energy-supply system has such a connecting arrangement and a related method has the following steps: a) positioning the connecting element in relation to the feeder device, b) using a manipulator to grip the connecting element and/or the cable, and c) using the manipulator to connect the connecting element to the connection member.

Abstract: A floating lift system capable of fully integrating into an existing floating or fixed dock or into a floating or fixed dock currently in construction that allows users to employ a plurality of utilitarian uses, thereby providing for enhanced user experience. The floating lift system includes an elevator deck comprising of a parent floating dock adapter and a lift deck extender; a lift deck; and an air control system. The floating lift system allows for the raising and lowering of load into and out of water.

Abstract: Wheel comprising a rim and a wheel center wherein the wheel center comprises several spokes extending in a longitudinal direction from a wheel hub to the rim. At least one spoke comprises an outer wall surrounding a cavity extending in the longitudinal direction of the at least one spoke. The cavity is delimited from the outer wall by an inner surface. The at least one spoke further comprises a reinforcing member extending along the inner surface.

Abstract: A harness system includes a spreader bar having first and second elongate end portions at its respective ends. A curved support member is interconnected to the spreader bar by way of a plurality of straps. The straps include first and second adjustment straps connected to the first elongate end portion and to the curved support member. The first and second adjustment straps are arranged at a non-parallel angle to one another. Fixed straps may be located on a side opposite the adjustment straps. The arrangement and configuration of the spreader bar, curved support member, and adjustment straps provides an improved adjustable harness.

Abstract: A vacuum cleaner can include an upright section, a surface cleaning head coupled to the upright section, and at least one wheel coupled to the surface cleaning head. The at least one wheel can include a hub, a rim, and an absorber. The absorber can extend between the hub and the rim. The absorber can be configured to deform before the rim experiences substantial deformation. A deformation limiter can be provided that is configured to limit the deformation in the absorber.

Abstract: A rapid transit system with wheel in track design includes a guideway, a vehicle that includes a vehicle bogie or chassis that couples to the guideway, and one or more terminals and/or intermediate stations. The guideway may include a first guideway and a second guideway, with a switch guideway interposed thereinbetween that allows the vehicle to move from the first guideway to the second guideway or vice versa. The vehicle may be coupled to the guideway via the vehicle bogie. The bogie may have a first axle, a second axle, and a third axle. First and second sets of guidewheels propel the vehicle forward or backward. The first set of switch wheels and/or the second set of switch wheels may be engaged and interact with one or more first or second neutral rails or first and second switch rails to move the vehicle from guideway to guideway.

Abstract: A system and method of configuration including a trim tab having a planar surface, and guiding tabs coupled to the trim tab. The guiding tabs extend outward. A pair of mounting brackets, with a mounting plate, a vertical leg, and a safety catch tab are included. The mounting brackets are configurable for variable mounting. The vertical leg of the mounting bracket includes an upper portion bottom portion, the vertical leg bottom portion is vertical, and the upper portion is configurable to be angulated relative to a transom. The upper portion and mounting bracket have an angle between, which may be adjusted relative to a curvature in the transom. The guiding tabs configured to engage with the vertical legs of the mounting bracket, wherein the trim tabs are located forward of the vertical legs of the mounting brackets.

Abstract: Systems and processes for recovering a condensate from a conduit. In one embodiment, the system can include a floating buoy that can include a fluid swivel assembly coupled thereto. The system can also include a floating conduit, a first gas transfer conduit, and a second gas transfer conduit that can be configured to transfer a gas discharged from a vessel storage tank to a pipeline end manifold located at a subsea location. The system can also include a first condensation conduit, a pump, and a second condensation conduit that can be configured to transfer at least a portion of any condensate that accumulates within an internal volume of the floating conduit at a low point between the vessel storage tank and the first gas transfer conduit into a flow path defined by a first swivel section of the fluid swivel assembly, a storage tank, or a combination thereof.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for controlling a hydrofoil board powered by a motor driven propeller. The motor is controlled by a hand controller configured with user selectable operating pre-sets including a first operating pre-set, wherein the board is accelerated to a first speed which is less than that required for the board to hydrofoil, and a second operating pre-set, wherein the board is accelerated to a second speed sufficient for the board to hydrofoil. Alternatively, the operating pre-sets may limit the motor power. A system for operating a hydrofoil board is also disclosed, which includes a propulsion control unit comprising a propulsion source, and a hand controller configured to receive a first user input and a second user input and to transmit the user inputs to the propulsion control unit.

The floating platform is held in horizontal position relative to the object to which it is attached, but vertical movement of the floating platform relative to the object is permitted. Each blade slidably engages a bracket, with the slidable blade permitting horizontal adjustment of the distance of the floating platform from the object during installation of the floating platform. Guide posts or piles slidably engage pile guides mounted to the object, permitting the floating platform to move vertically relative to the object, but fixing the floating platform's horizontal position relative to the object.

Abstract: A personal flotation system provides a horseshoe shaped float that is buoyant and can be used in a number or positions to float a person on the water and retain a beverage. The horseshoe shaped flotation device has a left and right armrest that extend out from an arced shaped closed end and dual cup holder, on the extended end of the armrest, has an cup cylinder to retain a beverage in the vertical orientation and an end cup holder to retain a beverage in an orthogonal orientation to the cup cylinder. The flotation device may have an extending strap that couples the left and right armrests together to secure the horseshoe shaped float around a person's torso.

Abstract: A ballast arrangement for a rail vehicle includes at least one ballast device. The at least one ballast device has a concrete weight body, at least one built-in metal reinforcement, and at least one securing device built into the weight body. There is also described a method for producing a ballast arrangement according to the invention.
