Abstract: An information processing apparatus that is capable of saving user's trouble when setting an address of a connection target and capable of providing an ease-of-use environment for setting the address. A first receiving unit receives an address of an image processing apparatus transmitted from the image processing apparatus connected to the network through the network. A second receiving unit receives specific information that requires a reception of an address transmitted from an image processing apparatus connected by a predetermined cable via the predetermined cable. A setting unit sets up the address received by the first receiving unit in a case that the specific information is received by the second receiving unit. A transmission unit transmits its own address with the address set up by the setting unit being destination.

Abstract: Provided are a non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions and a job managing apparatus, for managing jobs of an image forming apparatus. The instructions cause a processor to perform the following operations. The operations include acquiring information about data jobs stored in a storing section of the image forming apparatus, and creating a graph and a list based on the information about the data of the jobs. The graph indicates the amount of usage of the storing section for each job type. The list includes a job item including job contents such as information of a job type, for each job. The operations further include controlling a display unit to display a job managing screen including the graph and the list and update the graph on the job managing screen in response to an operation on the list to delete one or more jobs.

Abstract: Methods of determining a script to facilitate servicing a print request from a source device (e.g., a wireless mobile device) on a printer by a printing appliance are described. A printing appliance maintains a list of textual scripts that are mapped to a plurality of printers by a mapping relationship. For a given printer and requesting source device, if an appropriate script cannot be determined, the printing appliance will contact a server to resolve if a script on the printing appliance is an appropriate script, or whether the server should obtain and provide an appropriate script. A mapping relationship on the printing appliance is updated when an appropriate script is identified or provided by the server.

Abstract: A system for print service provider (PSP) operations management includes a provenance analytics engine. The provenance analytics engine accesses fresh meta-data associated with fresh events in a PSP operation performed using a printing system operated by a PSP. The provenance analytics engine further accesses stored meta-data associated with past events related to past PSP operations. Still further, the provenance analytics engine accesses a component behavioral model (CBM) to produce results associated with events in a PSP operation. The provenance analytics engine analyzes the event-related meta-data.

Abstract: A system and method are disclosed having different multi-functional devices that are in communication with a portable device such as a mobile phone, laptop or the like. A scanned document or image is received from one of the multi-functional devices as well as one or more destination addresses. The scanned document is communicated to a cloud computing server that generates at least one confirmation code or token in response and communicates the confirmation code to the portable device. Upon receiving the confirmation code at a second multi-functional device, the system prints a hardcopy of the scanned image.
