  • Patent number: 10762701
Abstract: A system and method is provided for generating a finite element (FE) model of an anatomical structure based on a fitted model (340) of the anatomical structure and association data. A segmentation model (310) may be provided for segmenting the anatomical structure. Association data may be obtained which associates a segmentation model part (315) of the segmentation model (310) with a mesh property, the segmentation model part (315) representing a pre-determined anatomical region of interest. The segmentation model may be applied to a medical image (320) of a subject, thereby obtaining a fitted model (340) providing a segmentation of the anatomical structure (330). The finite element model (350) may then be generated based on the fitted model (340) and the association data, said generating comprising meshing a finite element model part of the finite element model in accordance with the mesh property, the finite element model part corresponding with the pre-determined anatomical region of interest.

  • Patent number: 10740949
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for leveraging rendering engines to perform multi-spectral rendering by reusing the color channels for additional spectral bands. A digital asset represented by a three dimensional (3D) mesh and a material reference pointer may be rendered using a first material spectral band data set and additionally rendered using a second material spectral band data set, and the results combined to create a multi-spectral rendering. The multi-spectral rendering may then be used as part of a synthetics service or operation. By abstracting the material properties, a material translator is able to return a banded material data set from among a plurality of spectral band sets, and asset material information may advantageously be managed apart from managing each asset individually.

  • Patent number: 10699368
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to memory allocation in a graphics shader. In some embodiments, a memory for storing input data for operations by the shader is shared for multiple different types of tasks (e.g., pixel shading tasks and compute tasks). In some embodiments, a graphics device is configured to separately process different portions (e.g., tiles) of a frame of graphics data. In some embodiments, the graphics device is configured to dynamically adjust the number of frame portions processed in parallel based on allocation information, where the allocation information is determined based on requests for other types of tasks. This may prevent pixel shading tasks from stalling other tasks for extended periods and may allow dynamic adjustments memory allocation mid-render.

  • Patent number: 10672178
Abstract: Circuitry for identifying a closest intersected bounding volume in a target grid in a 3-dimensional scene includes circuitry that generates grid coordinates of candidate x-, y-, and z-planes in the target grid that belong to bounding volumes and which are closest to the ray. Comparator circuitry determines the closest plane among the candidate x-, y-, and z-planes to the ray. Circuitry generates an identifier of the bounding volume using the grid coordinates of the closest plane. The allocation of resources for some components comprising the circuitry is based on the number of planes that define the target grid, and for other components of the circuitry is based on the number of bounding volumes being considered.
