  • Patent number: 8067714
Abstract: A squeezing detection control method is provided for consumable electrode arc welding. The method includes a step of detecting a droplet squeezing phenomenon by checking that a change in a voltage or resistance between the consumable electrode and base material reaches a squeezing detection reference value, and a step of executing output control for rapidly decreasing a welding current passing through a short-circuited load when the squeezing phenomenon is detected, so that arc re-striking occurs in a state of low current. The squeezing detection reference value is set to a first value during the electrode positive polarity, and set to a second value during the electrode negative polarity. The second value is different from the absolute value of the first value, and each of the first and second values is set such that the resultant welding state is satisfactory.

  • Patent number: 8061268
Abstract: A device for cooking tortilla shells evenly and to create a U-shape for tacos or bowl-shape for tostadas. For tacos, the device has one shaping member with a top, a bottom, a plurality of vertically disposed peaks from bottom to top, and a plurality of valleys adjacent to each of the peaks. A plurality of apertures are on each of the peaks the purpose of which is to allow full circulation of microwaves on the seated surface of a tortilla shell placed on this shaping member. A two-piece cooking device has two similarly configured rounded shaping members each with a flat top and a downward extending side wall. The top and side walls have a plurality of apertures. A tortilla is placed in between the two shaping members and heated in a microwave oven. Such cooking causes the tortilla shell to retain the bowl-like shape of the two shaping members.

  • Patent number: 8044328
Abstract: A cooktop has a metal support plate upon which heating equipment can be mounted and a control casing for housing or attaching a control unit or electronics. Fasteners allow for detachable connection of the metal support plate and the control casing to each other, and comprise fastenings formed on the metal support plate and corresponding slots on the control casing, whereby the fastenings are designed for attachment into the slots in an attachment orientation whereby movement of the two parts relative to each other results in the final assembled state. There is a moveable protrusion on the control casing and a recess or catch on the metal support plate that mates with the protrusion. During movement of the support plate and control casing into the final assembled position, the protrusion interacts with the catch or recess to lock the metal support plate relative to the control casing.

  • Patent number: 8026462
Abstract: A fastening element for attaching a part such as a cooking hob to a supporting element, such as a frame supporting/surrounding the cooking hob, can include a spring secured to the supporting element. In one implementation, the fastening element can be secured by engaging a locking element of the spring into a first recess in the supporting element. In the mounted state, the spring has at its free end a gripping portion for holding the part, and the spring being embodied, as an element which is bent in a leaf-shaped manner. For ease in mounting the spring, the spring can have at the other end a width-reduced end that can penetrate a second slit-shaped recess in the supporting element. The width-reduced end and the slit-shaped recess are narrower than the region of the spring that is bent in a leaf-shaped manner.
