  • Patent number: 6932593
Abstract: The invention provides a method of preheating a catalyst in a catalytic heater comprising the steps of preparing a gaseous mixture of hydrogen and nitrogen in a volume ratio of between about 95% hydrogen to about 5% nitrogen and about 5% hydrogen to about 95% nitrogen and dispersing the gaseous mixture into contact with the catalyst for a period of time sufficient to raise the temperature of the catalyst to a level that will promote the flameless oxidation of a fuel gas in the presence of the catalyst.

  • Patent number: 6926000
Abstract: A range hood having an improved grease collecting motor housing and improved fan and motor connection. Housing openings are defined by circular walls projecting vertically into the housing acting to collect grease within the housing. A flange depends radially outwardly from, and at an angle to, the circular wall. Air entering the housing via the fan deflects off the flange and prevents turbulent air within the housing from exiting the housing in the space located between the circular wall and the fan. The fan connection is comprised of a threaded recess in a shaft of the motor and a fan cap having a threaded bolt. The shaft is inserted through an aperture in the fan and the fan cap threadingly connected to it. A tray attachable to the housing, and defining an air intake opening has an improved mating relationship with a lower panel of the range hood.

  • Patent number: RE45845
Abstract: A cutting insert for retention in a rotating cutting tool having an axis of rotation has two opposing end surfaces and a peripheral surface extending therebetween, each end surface having a mutual first axis of symmetry passing through the end surfaces about which each end surface has N-fold rotational symmetry for some value of N where N is chosen from the group consisting of 2, 3 and 4. A peripheral cutting edge is formed at the junction between each end surface and the peripheral surface, the peripheral cutting edge having N curved cutting edges merging with N straight cutting edges which extend between the curved cutting edges at extremities thereof. The curved cutting edges of the two end surfaces are not aligned in an end view of the cutting insert along the first axis of symmetry.

  • Patent number: RE46019
Abstract: A tensioner including a support structure defining a pivot axis, an arm coupled to the support structure for rotation about the pivot axis, and a damping mechanism. The arm includes a cup having the damping mechanism seated therein. The damping mechanism includes a first tensioner component that is generally cup-shaped and has first ramp features on the rim thereof, a second tensioner component having second ramp features, and a damper spring coupling the first tensioner component to the second tensioner component. The first tensioner component is rotatable with the arm and the second tensioner component is non-rotatable. The damper mechanism has the first ramp features aligned with the second ramp features and rotation of the first tensioner component in a first direction moves the first ramp features relative to the second ramp features and translates the first tensioner component into damping engagement with the arm.

  • Patent number: RE46029
Abstract: A refrigerator having an improved receiving box in contact with a cover. The refrigerator includes a first receiving box, and a cover installed to come into contact with the first receiving box and adapted to be pivotally rotated as the first receiving box is pulled out or pushed in. The first receiving box includes a sidewall having a downwardly-inclined slope with respect to a front of the first receiving box. The cover is pivotally rotated downward by movement of the cover on the downwardly-inclined slope when the first receiving box is pulled out and is pivotally rotated upward when the first receiving box is pushed in. With this configuration, the refrigerator has the effect of allowing a user to easily move food stored in a plurality of receiving spaces from one receiving space to another.
