Abstract: A geographic management system (GMS) comprises a web server, a database server, and a map server. A user browser connected to the GMS transmits a search criteria to the web server. The web server transmits the search criteria to the map server. The map server geocodes the search criteria, obtains network data and geospatial data from the database server corresponding to the geocode, and transmits the geocode, the network data, and the geospatial data to the web server. The web server transmits the geocode, the network data, and the geospatial data to the user browser. The network data and the geospatial data are displayed on the user browser as a map displaying network elements of a telecommunication network relative to other network elements, geographic elements, and customers.

Abstract: Provided is an operating method of a display device. The method includes: recognizing a wearable device; and providing a user interface screen of the display device differently on the basis of a wearing state of the wearable device representing whether a user wears the recognized wearable device.

Abstract: Examples of systems and methods are provided for the dynamic in-session altering of a remote desktop window. A client device may establish a remote session with a server to provide to a user a remote desktop window. The client device detects events associated with the remote desktop window. Information related to the detected even is sent to the server via a communications channel. The server sends to the client device updated remote desktop windows information and the client device alters the remote desktop size and resolution accordingly. The remote desktop is altered without requiring the disconnection of the current remote session and subsequent establishment of a new remote session.

Abstract: A method and system are provided for identifying type-ahead candidates. A method includes determining a context of past non-threaded emails of a user. The method further includes generating a context index associating the past non-threaded emails of the determined context with repeatable values within the past non-threaded emails. The method further includes receiving characters in a current email and determining a context of the current email. The method further includes determining matches between the current email and the past non-threaded in the context index. The method further includes identifying the corresponding repeatable values and matching the identified corresponding repeatable values with the received characters. The method further includes presenting the candidate words to the user for inclusion in the current email.

Abstract: An electronic device for collecting and displaying measurement data includes a data interface, a processor and a transport interface. The data interface obtains measurement data. The processor is configured to generate portable graphical user interface (GUI) information indicating a visual format corresponding to at least one of the measurement data or the electronic device, and to associate the portable GUI information with the measurement data. The transport interface is configured to deliver the measurement data and the associated portable GUI information to a remote display, enabling the remote display to display the measurement data in accordance with the visual format indicated by the portable GUI information.

Abstract: A display device calculates an operation amount of a user's input operation based on a detected indicated position. Display device displays component images on display surface based on the operation amount calculated. If display device determines that the indicated position is no longer detected, display device determines whether the calculated operation amount is smaller than or equal to a threshold. If it is determined that the calculated operation amount exceeds the threshold, display device executes an acquiring operation of a newly arrived email.

Abstract: An adaptive user interface of a computing device receives a user input triggering an animation in the user interface. The animation is configured to progress from an animation start to an animation finish in a transition time dynamically selected from a range of possible transition times based on a duration between the user input triggering the animation and an immediately previous user input. The animation is presented with the dynamically selected transition time.

Abstract: A graphical user interface on a display device of a computer enables communications using a computer service. The graphical user interface includes a list of potential message recipients selected by a user as significant to the user. The graphical user interface also includes a mobile device identifier associated with one or more of the listed potential message recipients and a user account identifier associated with one or more of the listed potential message recipients. At least one of the listed potential recipients includes a mobile device identifier as the only available conduit for data delivery to the potential message recipient using the computer service.

Abstract: The present invention offers a component that enables the presenter to begin presenting the first pages of the document as they become available, without having to wait on the entire document to be processed. The present invention provides an approach that is used to monitor document processing as it taking place on a server. As each page is in the document is processed (e.g., converted), a monitoring component signals a controlling component to alert it of the specific progress events (e.g., a new page available). The controlling component can immediately interface with clients using a real-time communication component, for example letting users know when each single page is available for consumption. Once alerted, an informed client can signal all other clients which page to view.

In some cases, the menu is customized for a particular user of the business application suite. Hence, for example, a menu might comprise only items necessary to that user's job function and/or access level, as defined by one or more user roles that the user possesses. In another example, menu items may be provided only for actions that the user has appropriate permissions to take and/or pages that the user has appropriate permissions to view.

Abstract: A system identifies a document and provides an excerpt page corresponding to the document. The excerpt page includes a page of the document and a set of links to sections of the document. One of the links corresponds to a section containing the page and includes text associated with the link, a next page element to permit a next page in the document to be presented, and a previous page element to permit a previous page in the document to be presented. The next page element and the previous page element are visually associated with the text associated with the link.

Abstract: An operating system program launch menu, such as a Start menu, provides various mechanisms for a user to quickly and efficiently locate and launch desired data items such as programs, data files, storage locations, and the like. A search box within the program launch menu may be used to quickly locate programs, documents, communications, and other data items. An auto-complete feature may be used, e.g., when the user restricts the locations searched for the user-entered search text. A most commonly used program list may include programs based on various criteria including both frequency of use and recent use, thereby always including a most recently used item. An all programs view may display programs and documents in a hosted-tree view within the original confines of the program launch menu, thereby negating the need to open sub-menus on top of a large portion of the desktop displayed on the display device.
