  • Patent number: 10922024
Abstract: This disclosure describes performing a pre-activate check of reader nodes prior to deploying a new serialization format at writer nodes in a service provider network. Prior to activating a new serialization format on writer nodes, writer nodes query a metrics service within the service provider network for an aggregated serialization format version metric value for reader nodes, where the aggregated serialization format version metric value corresponds to a percentile of reader nodes that do not currently de-serialize objects using the newest deserialization format, e.g., the percentile of reader nodes that are not configured to recognize serialized objects serialized in the newest serialization format. The aggregated serialization format version metric values are based on a metric indicating the most recent serialization format version that a reader node is configured to de-serialize, which are emitted as reader nodes read serialized objects from a data store of the service provider network.

  • Patent number: 10904110
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a memory and a processor coupled to the memory. The processor is configured to accumulate, for each user, satisfaction information that represents whether users who make requests are satisfied with responses received from service providing functions to the requests, to the memory. The processor is configured to identify, for each user, a service providing function from which each user receives a response that has a degree of satisfaction that meets a predetermined condition among the service providing functions based on the satisfaction information accumulated in the memory. The processor is configured to determine, for each user, the identified service providing function as a preferential service providing function that is preferentially used at a time of generating a response to a request from each user.

  • Patent number: 10904098
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments include a method for performing a health check of a telephony application server (TAS) or call session control function (CSCF) with an integrated virtual network function (iVNF) architecture. The method can include receiving a predefined command at a client component on a central node of the TAS or the CSCF. The command causes the client component to execute a procedure to obtain health data of component node(s) other than the central node. The method can further include fetching the health data obtained by agent component(s) of the component node(s). Each component node has an agent component, and the health data is fetched in accordance with the predefined command received by the client component. The method can further include causing display of an output based on the fetched health data, wherein the output is indicative of a health status of the TAS or the CSCF.

  • Patent number: 10887276
Abstract: Techniques for DNS-based endpoint discovery involving provider substrate extension resources are described. A client seeking to access a resource may utilize a DNS resolver located within a provider substrate extension of a provider network. The DNS resolver may be dynamically configured by a coordinator service located within the provider network to resolve a domain to an endpoint that may provide the lowest latency of access for clients close to the provider substrate extension.

  • Patent number: 10887204
Abstract: Example techniques of network infrastructure management are described. In an example, a network statistics request is received by a network device from a computing device. The network statistics request indicates at least one of a node and a data path, in a layer of a network stack in a network infrastructure, for which a network statistics attribute is to be determined. The network statistics attribute is representative of information associated with one of data packets transceived by the node and data packets transferred over the data path. The network statistics attribute is determined based on the value of a counter associated with the network statistics attribute of one of the node and the data path. The determined network statistics attribute is provided to the computing device.

  • Patent number: 10887164
Abstract: A virtual computer system service receives a request from a customer to provision a dedicated server for the exclusive use of the customer. The dedicated server may be used to launch one or more virtual machine instances. The virtual computer system service subsequently selects, from a pool of available servers, a server that can be dedicated to the customer and that does not have capacity allocated to any other customer. The virtual computer system service may update a database to specify, in an entry corresponding to the selected server, that the server has been dedicated for the exclusive use of the customer. Once the database has been updated, the virtual computer system service will enable the customer to launch a virtual machine instance using the dedicated server.

  • Patent number: 10880254
Abstract: Provided herein are methods, systems, and computer-program products for providing a supervision system for review of one or more communications associated with an enterprise. The supervision system may be configured to identify the one or more communications from communications associated with the enterprise. A communication may be identified for review according to one or more policies. A policy may indicate criteria that are defined by an enterprise that indicate a communication that should be reviewed. After the communication is identified for review, the communication may be analyzed using one or more filters. A filter may indicate when a communication should not be reviewed, even when the communication is identified for review based on a policy. After a communication is both identified by a policy and not filtered by a filter, the communication may be added to a queue. A queue may be used to organize communications to be reviewed.

Abstract: Example techniques of network infrastructure management are described. In an example, a network statistics request may be received by a network device. The network statistics request indicates a network resource and a network statistics attribute to be determined for the network resource. The network resource is one of a node and a data path in the network infrastructure. The network statistics attribute is indicative of information on flow of data packets at the network resource. A graph is generated based on the network statistics request. The graph depicts vertices corresponding to nodes in a network segment associated with the network resource and edges corresponding to communication links between pairs of adjacent nodes in the network segment. Based on the graph and a network statistics attribute for a pair of adjacent nodes, the network statistics attribute for the network resource, may be determined.

  • Patent number: 10868719
Abstract: In accordance with an embodiment, described herein is a system and method for providing federated configuration in an application server, enterprise computing, or other computing environment. A runtime domain configuration associated with a server can be derived from a base configuration, one or more configuration fragments, and one or more pluggable configuration transformers. Each configuration transformer can operate upon or revise a config descriptor's in-memory representation, for example by adding, deleting, or changing configuration elements within that representation. The changes made to an in-memory working runtime configuration can then be used to control the operating configuration and behavior of the server.

  • Patent number: 10862842
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein that enable a client device to efficiently identify mailboxes containing objects of interest in a server-based message store. In some embodiments, a method of operation of a client device comprises sending a single request to a server for a list of mailboxes maintained by the server for a user that contain objects flagged with any of one or more flags specified in the single request. The method of operation of the client device further comprises, in response to the single request, receiving, from the server, the list of mailboxes maintained by the server for the user that contain objects flagged with any of the one or more flags specified in the single request. The method also comprises processing the list of mailboxes. In this manner, the client device is enabled to quickly and efficiently identify which mailboxes of the user contain objects of interest.

  • Patent number: 10855536
Abstract: A method, enterprise information handling system (IHS), and a computer-readable storage medium provide for mitigating a noncompliant configuration of an IHS. A determination is made whether a triggering event has occurred that has a potential for degrading compliance of the enterprise IHS. In response to determining that the triggering event has occurred, a controller performs a configuration scan of the hardware and software of the enterprise IHS to obtain current configuration information. The controller determines changes in the current configuration information based on a comparison of the current configuration information with baseline configuration information that was obtained in response to a previous triggering event. A determination is made whether any changes determined in the current configuration information are non-compliant based on a comparison to compliance status information.

  • Patent number: 10855790
Abstract: A system includes a proxy device, a requestor device that communicates with the proxy via a first communications link, and an asset host that communicates with the proxy via a second communications link. The proxy receives receive an access request from a user of the requestor device via the first communication link. The access request is associated with a requested asset hosted by the asset host, and includes pipeline language parameters. Routing information associated with the asset host is determined, and the access request is routed to the asset host in response to verifying that the user is authorized to access the requested asset. The proxy device obtains the requested asset from the asset host, transforms the requested asset based on the pipeline language parameters, and transmits the transformed asset to the requestor device.
