Abstract: The future presence of a worker in a dynamic workspace which includes resources for temporary use may be signaled to other workers. In response a first worker making a reservation of a resource, a second worker to indicate the future presence of that first worker to is determined based on communication records associated with the first worker and the second worker. An indication of the reservation of the resource for the first worker, and thus the future presence of that first worker in an office which includes that reserved resource, is accordingly signaled to the second worker. A suggested resource for the second worker may then be determined based on the reservation of the resource for the first worker. In response to the second worker making a reservation of the suggested resource, a reservation record indicating the reservation of the suggested resource for the second worker may then be generated.

Abstract: A method for associating a team with a meeting for prospective meeting includes receiving a meeting invitation comprising first information, wherein the first information comprises data identifying the prospective meeting attendees, receiving second information for a plurality of teams, wherein the second information comprises data identifying members for each one of the plurality of teams, comparing the first information with the second information to determine a match metric for each one of the plurality of teams, and determining a matching team from the plurality of teams for which the match metric is above a match threshold value. The method further includes, in response to determining that the match metric is below the match threshold value computed for each one of the plurality of teams, creating a new team, and associating one of the matching team or the new team with the meeting for prospective meeting attendees.

Abstract: In one example, the present disclosure describes a device, computer-readable medium, and method for scaling network capacity predictively, based on customer interest. For instance, in one example, a method includes predicting an interest of a first customer in data content that will be available for consumption over a data network at a time in the future, wherein the predicting is based on customer data including at least a search pattern associated with the first customer, flagging the data content when the predicting indicates at least a threshold degree of likelihood that the first customer will be interested in the data content, and scaling an allocation of resources of the data network to the first customer, based on the flagging.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a customer relationship management (CRM) system is queried to obtain a list of projects that are associated with a particular user. A subset of the projects is selected from the list. Each of the projects in the subset includes an attribute that has been set to a predetermined attribute value or attribute state by the user (e.g., flagged, starred, a checkbox). For each of the projects in the subset, a communication channel (e.g., an instant messaging or IM system, an email group, a group chat, a social network community) associated with the project is identified. It is determined whether the user is already a member of the communication channel. If the user is not a member of the communication channel, the user is automatically added to the communication channel without user intervention from the user.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for risk management in a supply chain. The system is configured to maintain a supply chain repository storing an original buffer level, and a master plan. Further, the system is configured to monitor each stage associated with the supply chain to identify at least one of a short term disruption or a long term disruption associated with a stage of the supply chain. Further, the system is configured to resolve the short term disruption by updating the original buffer level of an inventory or by revising the current plan and at least one of the set of future plans associated with the supply chain. Further, the system is configured to resolve the long term disruption in the supply chain using a set of problems and a set of solutions stored in a historical database.

A cost of localizing an element with respect to each of one or more localization sources is first computed. At least one criterion based on which a localization source for localizing the element is to be determined is obtained. Abstract: An enhanced roadside assistance system may modify service provider role assignments in roadside assistance accounts. The system may be configured to modify a service provider role assignment associated with a roadside assistance account by assigning a service provider role to each of a plurality of service providers. The system may receive a service request from a roadside assistance device for an individual associated with a vehicle. The system may identify one or more of the service providers offering a type of service indicated by the service request. Based on the service provider role assignment, the system may transmit a notification of the service request to at least one of a plurality of computing devices associated with one of the service providers. The system may receive a response comprising one or more discounts and transmit the response to the roadside assistance device for presentation to the individual.

Abstract: One embodiment provides a method for estimating unit price reduction of services in a new in-flight deal using data of historical deals and market reference deals cost structures. The method includes receiving a detailed cost structure for historical information, market deals information, services quantity information and deals metadata for a first year. For each service: peer deals to the in-flight deal are selected based on the detailed cost structure; missing cost data values in the peer deals are augmented; unit cost reduction values for the peer deals estimated; the unit cost reduction for the in-flight deal from each year in total contract years to a next year without a last contract year are estimated; and a total cost for the in-flight deal for all years in the total contract years beyond the first year are estimated.

Abstract: Techniques are described for routing service requests in a service environment. Received requests received may be analyzed to determine characteristics of each request, including a category of the request, a difficulty of the request, and the individual who submitted the request. A list of pending requests may be presented in a user interface (UI) according to a hierarchical set of filters. A service representative (SR) may select a pending request to handle and, in response, a service session may be initiated between the SR and the individual who submitted the request. Each request may be assigned a point value according to a set of configurable rules, e.g., based on the difficulty of the request, the amount of time it has been pending in the queue of requests, and/or other characteristics. The point value of the request may be added to a score of the SR who handles the request.

Abstract: One embodiment provides a method comprising receiving historic peer deals relating to at least one service, and a baseline and cost percentage estimation for each service. Historic peer cost data for each service is clustered to form at least one cluster. Each cluster includes similar unit costs, and has an assigned label. A classification model is trained based on each baseline received, each cost percentage estimation received, and each assigned label. For each assigned label, a corresponding probability distribution is computed based on the classification model. For each service of a new client solution, an assigned label for the service is predicted based on the classification model, and, based on a probability distribution corresponding to the assigned label predicted, transforming an initial range of historic peer cost data relating to the service into a narrower range for use in estimating a cost of the service with improved accuracy.

Abstract: A method for utilizing an externally augmented propensity model for determining a future financial requirement. The method includes obtaining at least one propensity model that models how data associated with a business entity relates to a future financial requirement of the business entity, and gathering the data associated with the business entity. The data includes a first portion created based on a platform utilized by users associated with the business entity, and financial data of an owner of the business entity. The data matches at least a subset of the at least one propensity model. The business entity is scored by applying the at least one propensity model to the data. Further, based on the score, the future financial requirement of the business entity is classified. Still yet, a message is transmitted to the business entity based on the classification of the future financial requirement of the business entity.

Abstract: A system and method for forecasting the sales of a new item, i.e., one with no historical sales data, is presented. Two matrices are presented, a feature matrix and a sales matrix. The matrices are divided into training matrices and prediction matrices. The training matrices are decomposed, then regression analysis is performed to determine the weight of various columns of the training feature matrix. Thereafter, the weights could be used on the training prediction matrix to predict sales. The sales predictions can be used to order SKUs for a retailer or distributor. Other embodiments are also disclosed herein.

Abstract: The technology disclosed relates to helping sales engineers prepare for sales meetings. In particular, it relates to intelligently and automatically creating packages of information related to sales meetings. The information packages are stored in on-demand systems that are accessible by a plurality of devices used by the sales engineer. The technology disclosed also relates to providing sales engineers offline access to the information packages related to the sales meetings. The information packages can be assembled from and deployed to a plurality of electronic sources and devices based on the sales engineer's needs, criteria, assignments and preferences.
