Abstract: A refrigerator and/or freezer unit and system for storing, monitoring, and maintaining a supply of temperature sensitive pharmaceutical products in compliance with regulatory requirements. The unit contains compartments for each product type in multiple controlled temperature zones with sensors and readers to track product status and content. A user interface device in communication with an application service provider provides the user with a secure access to the content of the unit and product information. The application service provider provides the user with web accessed optimal management of product inventory.

Abstract: A Mobile Image Payment System for mobile commerce, which enables a Consumer to use a mobile device to make payments for online, Electronic Media, Print Media and POS Transactions, involving the presentment of a short code. In an embodiment, the Consumer scans the short code that is displayed by a merchant, to initiate a transaction. The system completes the transaction by processing information between a Mobile Payment Client residing on the Consumer's mobile device, a Mobile Payment interface residing on a Transaction Server, and, in a further embodiment, a Mobile Payment Application residing on a merchant's device or POS terminal. The Consumer's mobile device communicates with a Payment Platform, which communicates with a Merchant Transaction Server in order to process and complete the mobile transaction. The short code of the merchant can be displayed on any product or advertising medium.

Each PEAC note may be associated with a respective unique identifier and asset held by a custodian. The transaction provider may provide for assigning ownership of the PEAC notes to various entities and/or transferring ownership therebetween. Ownership transfers may be performed by the transaction provider while maintaining the PEAC notes in the datastore and/or maintaining the asset(s) associated therewith their respective custodian(s). A PEAC note may be tied to one or more usage conditions, which restrict transfers thereof. The usage conditions may be removed when release conditions are satisfied.

According to at least one embodiment, a computer-implemented method includes steps of sending one or more messages to cause a plurality of computing devices that can be used to execute the compute task to be identified, sending at least one message to initiate execution of the compute task to determine the plurality of application fragments including a first application fragment and a second application fragment, collecting fragment information associated with the application fragments from one or more of the plurality of computing devices, storing the fragment information at a storage device, determining that the second application fragment follows the first application fragment based on a fragments relationship data structure, and streaming the second application fragment to a mobile game computing device.

An exemplary method comprises receiving, at a server, a request for a device verification value for a portable consumer device associated with a user; obtaining, at the server, a datum indicative of a device verification value for a portable consumer device; and sending, from the server, the datum to at least one of a phone number or network address of a personal communication device associated with the user.

Abstract: A system and method for assisting ordering and payment processing of an order invoice associated with a product selected by a customer. The system comprises collecting product data about the product and generates the order invoice information for use by at least an accounting system of the merchant. The system receives symbology information in an aggregated barcode associated with the order invoice, the symbology information including at least a portion of the order invoice information encoded using a coding scheme of a barcode. The system provides an image of the aggregated barcode to the customer for use in generating a transaction request for settlement of the order invoice, and receives a transaction response indicating transaction approval or transaction denial of the order invoice.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides for enabling concurrent rating during a re-rating operation. A first notification is received. The first notification indicates that a re-rating process, which comprises a modification to a customer state for a customer service account, has been initiated for the customer service account. A concurrent usage request is received while the re-rating process is ongoing. The concurrent usage request comprises a request to perform a transaction affecting the customer service account. The concurrent usage request is then processed.

Abstract: Systems and methods for performing a transaction with a headless point-of-sale or automated teller machine (ATM) device are disclosed using a card having a second communications path to a financial services provider. A card having a display and radio frequency (RF) communications module may be authenticated with a headless point-of-sale device using a short-range RF communications link. Characteristics of the card may be set prior to the transaction. Transaction information may be provided to the display of the card from the headless point-of-sale device. A customer may confirm the transaction at the card using a touch-sensitive input area. During the processing, a communication may be made over the second communications path to authorize the transaction independently of the transaction processing path. A transaction may then be completed at the headless point-of-sale device.

Abstract: An apparatus for invoking a degraded mode architecture is provided. The apparatus may include a desktop application, a branch processor, and/or a data center. The branch processor may be in communication with the data center and the desktop application. The branch processor may transmit activities that occurred in the branch processor and the desktop application to the data center. During a termination of communication between the data center and the branch processor, the branch processor may save branch processor activities and desktop application activities. After the termination of communication, the branch processor may transmit the saved activities to the data center. In addition, many components which may be found on the desktop application may also be found on the branch processor. This may enable the branch processor to perform the desktop application capabilities when there is a termination of communication between the desktop application and the branch processor.

Abstract: Techniques of implementing providing real-time availability of omni-channel sales data are disclosed. In some example embodiments, purchase information comprising information of purchases made by a consumer via a plurality of retail channels is received by a back-end system. The purchase information can be stored on the back-end system. A request to access the stored purchase information can be received from the consumer on a computing device. The request can comprise an identification of a virtual host and an identification of a service to invoke on the back-end system to retrieve the purchase information stored on the back-end system. An identification of an internal host can be determined based on the identification of the virtual host. The identification of the internal host can identify the back-end system. The purchase information can be retrieved from the back-end system using the identification of the internal host and the identification of the service.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and systems for executing a first transaction at a checkout system at substantially the same time that a second transaction is started at the checkout system. For example, a cashier can scan one or more items, adding the items to a first transaction. When all items have been added to the first transaction and a first customer is making a payment in the first transaction, the cashier can begin to add items to a second transaction, such that execution of the first transaction occurs at substantially the same time that items are added to the second transaction.

Abstract: A system for performing a point-of-sale (POS) transaction. The system includes a POS device configured to receive an item order input specifying an item that is listed in a pre-determined inventory list of a merchant, receive a hands-free confirmation that the item is to be purchased by a customer, and prompt, in response to the hands-free confirmation, the customer to select a payment method, and a wearable device worn by the merchant and configured to obtain the hands-free confirmation from the merchant for sending to the POS device, and obtain, in response to the prompting, information associated with a payment credential of the consumer for sending to the POS device, where the POS transaction is performed based on the payment credential.

Abstract: A method to generate a sample paycheck includes receiving, by a computer processor and from a user, a reduced portion of employee setup data prior to receiving a remainder portion of the employee setup data, where the reduced portion of employee setup data comprises at least partial employee payroll information, inputting the reduced portion of employee setup data into a payroll software application, dynamically generating, by the computer processor and prior to receiving the remainder portion, the sample paycheck based on the reduced portion, presenting the sample paycheck to the user, where the sample paycheck is dynamically generated and presented as the reduced portion of employee setup data is inputted, and receiving, in response to presenting the sample paycheck to the user, the remainder portion for use by the payroll software application during generation of a legal paycheck for the user.

In one embodiment, a method includes providing a tax analysis data model, preloaded key performance indicator queries, and a query interface. The example method may also include extracting tax related data from a tax analysis data base and transforming and loading the tax related data into a tax data warehouse that facilitates real time processing of KPI queries.

A plurality of POS instructions are located on the non-transitory memory in the POS device and executable by the one or more hardware processors in the POS device to provide a POS engine that is configured to receive and transmit payment information for conducting a payment transaction associated with a purchase. A plurality of security instructions are located on the non-transitory memory in the POS device and are executable by the one or more hardware processors in the POS device to provide a security engine that is configured to receive environment signals from the one or more environment sensors in the POS device and analyze those environment signals to determine a security breach.

The system sends an authentication request using a wireless communication protocol configured for proximity communication between a communication interface of a computer device and a wireless communication enabled integrated circuit (IC) chip of a payment card, the authorization request including an IC command expected by computer hardware of the IC chip. The system receives an authentication response from the computer hardware of the IC chip by the wireless communication protocol, the authentication response including an encrypted value generated by the computer hardware of the IC chip.
