A mirror assembly is mounted on an exterior surface of the vehicle and includes a base fixedly coupled to the exterior surface and a mirror compartment rotatably coupled to the base and capable of being rotated between an extended, operational position and a folded, retracted position. The keypad is mounted on the base so as to be visible and accessible when the mirror compartment is in its folded retracted position and hidden and inaccessible when the mirror compartment is in it's extended, operational position.

    Abstract: A security remote-control system includes a mobile terminal, a central server, and a key unit controlling the state of a lock. The mobile terminal has a positional-information detecting unit capable of detecting its own position, and automatically transmits a first email for requesting notification of the state of the lock to the central server when the mobile terminal is outside a predetermined area including a specific position specified by a user. The central server confirms the state of the lock through the key unit, when the central server receives the first email, and transmits to the mobile terminal a state notification email indicating the state of the lock. The mobile terminal automatically transmits to the central server a second email for instructing shutting of the lock when determining that the lock is not shut. The central server transmits to the key unit a locking instruction signal.

    Abstract: Cooperative Vehicular Identification Systems and Methods, capable of monitoring and recording vehicular law violations, with the assistance and cooperation of the vehicles in violation, are disclosed. Real-time information from vehicular sensors is communicated to a Central Processing Unit (CPU). Strategically located Interrogator devices, on roads/highways, at intersections, in and around school zones, integrated with traffic lights, etc., issue inquiries/interrogations to passing-by vehicles. Vehicles proximate to such Interrogators respond with unique identifying information and with parameter lists provided by their vehicular sensors. Each Interrogator inquiry can provide data, including the lawful parameter limits (i.e. speed limit) associated with its location. In response to having successfully decoded an inquiry, and in response to the state of its vehicular sensors, a vehicular Transponder may transmit information to the specific Interrogator that has issued an inquiry.

    Abstract: A method and processor-readable storage medium for performing the method of identifying RF cards in a card reader's field. Polling requests are sent to cards in a card reader's field. Where a clear response from the sent command is received from a responding card, the response is saved, the responding card moved to an Active state, and the timeslot number incremented if possible and the above steps repeated until no clear response is received. Where no clear response is received, a determination of whether a collision has occurred is made. If no collision occurred, the timeslot number is incremented; if a collision did occur, another polling request is sent. Discovered cards are returned when no cards or collisions are detected after every timeslot is polled.
