  • Patent number: 10101098
Abstract: A thermal insulation system can include a body of heated material at an elevated temperature. A layer of porous insulating material can be placed adjacent to and in fluid communication with the body of heated material. The insulating layer can contain distributed liquid water in an amount sufficient to cool the insulating layer through evaporative vapor flow toward the body of heated material. The amount of water can be sufficient to provide water vapor for inhibiting the diffusion and adsorption of hydrocarbons from the heated material. The insulating layer can include a continuous vapor phase. A heat sink material at a lower temperature can be placed adjacent to the insulating layer and opposite from the body of heated material.

  • Patent number: 10046502
Abstract: The present invention involves a fabrication of plastic-tube-screen-fill using plastic tubes. The plastic-tube-screen-fill consists of several plastic tubes suspended to between top and bottom ring-shaped hole perforated frames in the shape of a rectangular thin plate as a vertical string screen. The top and bottom ring-shaped hole perforated frames are in same configuration to be used in two ways and fabricated by assembling a cup-shaped hole perforated frame and tube-holder-frame. The tube-holder-frame is a male push-fit band connector with several short solid rods positioned and fixed on band for push-fitting into the cup-shaped holes on the cup-shaped hole perforated frame. The solid rod on tube-holder-frame has a male push-fit connector on its lower part to be push-fitted into one edge of tube. The tubes used in the present invention are spiral corrugated tubes. Fabrication and assembling method of perforated frames, tube-holder-frames, and spiral corrugated tubes are described in this invention.

  • Patent number: 9790102
Abstract: A feed liquid flows into a second-stage humidifier chamber to form a second-stage humidifier bath. A first remnant of the feed liquid from the second-stage humidifier chamber then flows into a first-stage humidifier chamber to form a first-stage humidifier bath having a temperature lower than that of the second-stage bath. A second remnant of the feed liquid is then removed from the first-stage humidifier. Meanwhile, a carrier gas is injected into and bubbled through the first-stage humidifier bath, collecting a vaporizable component in vapor form from the first remnant of the feed liquid to partially humidify the carrier gas. The partially humidified carrier gas is then bubbled through the second-stage humidifier bath, where the carrier gas collects more of the vaporizable component in vapor form from the feed liquid to further humidify the carrier gas before the humidified carrier gas is removed from the second-stage humidifier chamber.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for dispersing and entraining and controlling the residence time, absorption and release of gas bubbles or particles in a fluid without losing gas utilization efficiency from escaping surface gas events. A mechanical, rotating plurality of hollowed blades that induce both an axial and radial controlled circulatory flow and provide a means of gas introduction into the discharge flow that has a conical helical, axial and radial outward flow from the axis of rotation and allows entrained gas bubbles to be trapped as particles and recirculated by means of a circulatory flow back into the intake vortex of said mechanical, rotating plurality of blades. The flow is characterized by a forced intake vortex caused by a low pressure zone with a radial component, and subsequent axial component drawing fluid in a circular fashion toward the eye of the rotating device and impelling fluid.
