  • Patent number: 11488123
Abstract: A system and method for payment notification using blockchain. The system and method relate to real-time monitoring and updating of a list of accounts that have not satisfied a minimum payment amount due. The real-time monitoring and updating of the list occurs through the use of a blockchain monitoring payment information by a user to the account. The blockchain is continually updated every time a payment is made. A notification system receives each update and is aware, in real-time, whether a user has satisfied a minimum payment amount due and thus whether an account is current or in need of a collections notification.

  • Patent number: 11481849
Abstract: Techniques are described for providing insurance coverage for a virtual wallet stored on a computing device. The virtual wallet has a value equal to a sum of assigned values of a plurality of virtual financial assets included in the virtual wallet. A user of the computing device purchases an insurance policy for the virtual wallet with an insured amount based on the value of the virtual wallet. The computing device is configured to send messages to an insurance server reporting an updated value of the virtual wallet based on changes to the assigned values of the virtual financial assets. The insurance server updates the insured amount of the insurance policy based on the updated value of the virtual wallet. Upon the virtual wallet being compromised, the insurance policy has an insured amount equal to the most recent updated value of the virtual wallet.

  • Patent number: 11475434
Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for local digital token transfer during device communication limitations. A first computing device of a first user may include applications and data necessary to generate and/or transmit a data token to a second device to provide particular data to the second device, including a token used for electronic transaction processing. The first device may be unable to communicate with the second device in particular instances, for example, if the first device becomes non-operational due to battery power, location specific requirements, or other operation issue. Thus, the first device may store the token locally or to a nearby associated device, such as a keyfob device or other transceiver. The token may then be available to a third device when the first device is limited from communications, which may be used to communicate the token to the second device.

  • Patent number: 11449870
Abstract: An improved method and apparatus for determining if a financial transaction is fraudulent is described. The apparatus in one embodiment collects transactions off of a rail using promiscuous listening techniques. The method uses linear programming algorithms to tune the rules used for making the determination. The tuning first simulates using historical data and then creates a matrix of the rules that are processed through the linear programming algorithm to solve for the variables in the rules. With the updated rules, a second simulation is performed to view the improvement in the performance. The updated rules are then used to evaluate the transactions for fraud.

  • Patent number: 11436615
Abstract: A method involves receiving digital on blockchain information and digital off blockchain information. The digital data from the digital on blockchain information and the digital off blockchain information is extracted. The entity knowledge base engine contextualizes the relationships based on the digital data and the digital off blockchain information and the digital on blockchain information. The risk classification engine analyzes the digital data and transforms the digital data to an identified behavior category. The risk scoring regression engine analyzes the classified risk data and assigns a risk score to each classified risk data. The risk policy engine analyzes the classified risk data and determines if any deviations from rules or standards have or will occur. The security control system takes an action on the digital on blockchain information and digital off blockchain information based on the assigned risk score and any deviations from rules or standards.

  • Patent number: 11431736
Abstract: In some aspects, a computing system can generate entity links between a primary entity object identifying a primary entity for multiple accounts and secondary entity objects identifying secondary entities from the accounts. The computing system can determine a rate at which secondary users change on the accounts. The computing system can update, based on the determined rate, the primary entity object to include a fraud-facilitation flag. The computing system can also service a query from a client system regarding a presence of a fraud warning for a target consumer associated with a consumer system that accesses a service provided with the client system. For instance, the computing system can generate a fraud warning based on the target consumer being identified in a secondary entity object associated with the primary entity object having the fraud-facilitation flag. The computing system can transmit the fraud warning to the client system.

  • Patent number: 11430064
Abstract: Real time or near real time assessment of the quality of securities transactions is accomplished by intercepting order and execution communications between trader and broker, comparing the execution data with contemporaneous market data relative to the transaction or transactions involved, and informing the trader of that comparison. This is accomplished without interrupting or impeding the trader-broker communications, except that a broker-trader communication may, if desired, be interrupted and relevant data aggregated until the aggregate reaches a desired value. It is preferred that the comparison be between the volume-weighted average price of the securities transaction and the volume-weighted average price of the market data for that security, over the life of the order. A particular effective way to communicate the quality evaluation to the trader is disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11423406
Abstract: A triaged approach is implemented to detect and prevent electronic attacks against online entities and to reduce latency. Transaction requests are classified into different tiers and are treated differently based on the tier status. For example, transaction requests to conduct transactions with an entity are received from a client system. Characteristics such as rate or amounts of transactions of the transaction requests are analyzed. The characteristics are compared against specified threshold limits to assess whether the specified threshold limits are exceeded. Based on an assessment that at least one of the specified threshold limits is exceeded, a set of computer instructions is selected from different sets of computer instructions for execution on the client system. A result of an execution is received from the client system. Based on the result of the execution, a determination is made whether the transaction requests appear to have originated from a machine-automated submission process.

  • Patent number: 11416933
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to implementation of a recursive hierarchic blockchain for event validation and processing. A computing platform may receive event data from first and second data sources. The computing platform may store, in a first distributed ledger, an event record for each event from the first data source and may store, in a second distributed ledger, an event record for each event from both data sources. In response to determining that a validation condition for a current block of the second distributed ledger has been satisfied, the computing platform may compute a hash and generate a numeric representation of the first distributed ledger. In a new block of the second distributed ledger, the computing platform may store the hash and the numeric representation. The computing platform may write, to the new block of the second distributed ledger, additional event data from both data sources.

  • Patent number: 11410113
Abstract: The present systems and methods describe a computer system that collects user shipping preferences, including, for example, the shipping speeds (e.g., standard three to five day shipping) a user selects on various retailer websites. The system is configured to determine the one or more preferred shipping methods for the user based on the collected shipping preferences and to save the preferred shipping methods to memory (e.g., the user commonly prefers standard shipping). When the user visits an online retailer, the system, detects a shipping field (e.g., where the user may select or input a shipping preference), accesses the saved preferred shipping method (e.g., the user prefers standard shipping), and populates the shipping field with the saved preferred shipping method (e.g., the system automatically selects “standard shipping” for the user).

  • Patent number: 11397989
Abstract: The present embodiments relate to intelligently throttling a modification message based on a period of time that a trade order is required to remain in a market. In an embodiment, intelligently throttling a modification message includes intelligently selecting a transmission time of a modification message based on a period of time that a trade order is required to remain in a market. The modification message is transmitted at the selected time to ensure that the modification order is received at an electronic exchange at or shortly after, but not before, the period of time has expired. As a result, the modification order is accepted (e.g., not rejected) by the electronic exchange. The modification order does not need to be resent to the electronic exchange.
