  • Patent number: 12649023
Abstract: An extracorporeal blood treatment apparatus includes an extracorporeal circuit, a dialysis fluid circuit, and a dialyzer. A blood side and a dialysis fluid side of the dialyzer are separated by a membrane. A control unit automatically empties the dialyzer by setting a reduced pressure or negative pressure in the dialysis fluid circuit and by a passage of fluid from the blood side to the dialysis fluid side via the membrane. Once fluid has passed from the blood side to the dialysis fluid side and the blood side has been emptied, the control unit brings about a passage of air from the blood side to the dialysis fluid side via the membrane, and a displacement of the fluid out of the dialysis fluid side toward a dialysis fluid outflow by continued setting of the reduced pressure or negative pressure in the dialysis fluid circuit.

  • Patent number: 12409063
Abstract: Multi-dose preservative-free ocular fluid delivery devices are provided. The fluid delivery device includes a fluid dispensing system and a fluid package for storing a liquid therein and supplying said liquid to the dispensing system. The dispensing system comprises an elongated chamber which includes a check valve which defines a frontal closure to the chamber. The valve is normally closed and hermetically seals the chamber. The dispenser includes a vibration motor that induces oscillations to the chamber and to the fluid within. The oscillations of the chamber impart momentum to the fluid stored in the chamber which in turn imparts force that cyclically opens the valve to dispense streams or liquid droplets. Fluid is dispensed only when the motor oscillates while otherwise the valve is hermetically closed.

  • Patent number: 12343310
Abstract: A device for transferring a liquid from a first vial to a second vial is disclosed having a dome portion configured to create an air flow when activated by compression and re-expansion, and a support body tightly supporting the dome portion to form a chamber with air therein. The support body includes first and second vial seats, and a transfer conduit. The first and second vial seats are arranged to receive the first and second vials. When the first and second vials are received in the first and second vial seats, the transfer conduit is arranged to establish a fluid connection between the first vial and the second vial. Upon activation of the dome portion, air is delivered into the first vial, thereby creating a pressure rise in the first vial which causes the liquid to transfer from the first vial to the second vial through the transfer conduit.
