  • Patent number: 10764844
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for determining a first-link transmit power. In one example method, a user equipment (UE) obtains transmit power indication information of a first link. The UE determines a first transmit power of control information and a second transmit power of data based on the transmit power indication information. The UE sends the control information at the first transmit power, and the data at the second transmit power. The control information and the data are sent on the first link in a same subframe.

  • Patent number: 10757661
Abstract: A communication device includes a frontend that is communicatively coupled to the antenna(s) and that converts downlink signals to downlink baseband signals and uplink baseband signals to uplink signals. A memory contains a passive proximity detection module and a baseline threshold value. A communication device includes a controller that is communicatively coupled to the frontend and a memory. A controller executes a module contained in memory to enable the communication device to receive via the antenna(s) a downlink reference signal from a radio access network. The frontend determines a downlink characteristic of the downlink reference signal. Based on comparison to the baseline threshold value, the controller determines whether a person is in proximity to the antenna(s) based on the downlink characteristic being indicative of a proximity to the person. The controller limit transmits power level of the frontend in response to determining the proximity to the person.

  • Patent number: 10660040
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to wireless transmission energy budgets. In some embodiments, an apparatus is configured to determine wireless transmission energy budget for a plurality of time periods. In some embodiments, the apparatus determines budget differently depending on whether it is in a thermal mode or a peak power mode. In some embodiments, the apparatus blanks scheduled wireless transmissions that intersect with the battery signal. In some embodiments, for a time interval subsequent to assertion of the battery signal, the apparatus operates in the peak power mode and determines energy budget for periods based on an amount of energy used for wireless transmissions in a most recent period in which transmissions were blanked in response to the battery signal. In some embodiments, in the thermal mode, the energy budget is based on thermal information for the apparatus, but may also allow carryover of unused budget from previous periods.
